Abstract

The invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition comprising iron (III) polymaltose complex and an active ingredient selected from calcium folinate pentahydrate, vitamin C or a combination of both, wherein the active ingredients are stored separately in a container consisting of a cylindrical bottle and a storage closure, wherein the iron (III) polymaltose is stored in the form of an oral solution in the bottle and the calcium folinate pentahydrate or vitamin C or a combination thereof are stored separately in a sealed manner in solid form in the storage closure. The container is properly configured to allow the two substances to be mixed just before use, forming a single-dose oral solution. The pharmaceutical composition helps to increase blood iron levels and treat anemia in pregnancy and lactation.
