Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a motion detector comprising a housing and an interface for connection to a power supply of a building, wherein the motion detector comprises a radar sensor for detecting a motion event. The invention further relates to an arrangement comprising a building wall having a building inner wall and a building outer wall, an installation box installed on the building inner side and such a motion detector.Furthermore, the invention relates to a use of such a motion detector for detecting an outdoor motion event.Previously known motion detectors serve, for example, to actuate lights when a motion event is detected. For this purpose, such motion detectors have a housing and an interface for connection to an energy supply of a building.Conventionally known motion detectors are usually attached with their housing to a building outer wall (www.steil.delllight sensors / products / sensors / motion detector warning switches / motion detector outer / ir-180-ap-easy-066048. html). The detection of the movement event can take place either via an infrared sensor or via a radar sensor.A disadvantage of previously known motion detectors is that these tend, on the one hand, to technical defects, in particular due to the penetration of moisture, due to their weather-exposed attachment to the outer wall of the building, and, on the other hand, are visually conspicuous. The visual conspicuousness not only aesthetically interferes with the visual impression of a building outer wall, but even allows potential intruders to recognize and thus remove the motion detector. This limits the safety advantage achieved by a motion detector which is regularly connected to a light in order to switch on the light and to start the potential intruder on detection of a motion event.Furthermore, it is disadvantageous in previously known motion detectors that the facade is regularly contaminated, since rain is bundled by the motion detector installed on the facade and is discharged downward by the force of gravity. This results in unwanted contaminants on the facade, in particular a plaster facade.Proceeding from this discussed prior art, the object of the invention is to create a motion detector which, on the one hand, makes it possible to minimize the susceptibility to defects with respect to weather influences, in particular due to moisture, and at the same time to reduce the visual appearance on a building outer wall, in particular also the contamination of the facade, to zero and to prevent any attempt at dismantling, so that the safety advantage actually effected by the motion detector cannot be eliminated. This object is achieved by a motion detector, wherein the motion event is an outdoor motion event and the motion detector is dimensioned and designed such that it is suitable for flush-mounted installation in an installation box, for example behind an electrical / electronic installation device, inside a building, such that the motion detector is invisible outside the building and protected from weather influences. The core idea of the invention is that the radar sensor according to the invention is utilized in a particularly intelligent manner for detecting an outdoor movement event, in that the movement detector according to the invention is protected from weather influences and attempt at dismantling, in that the movement detector is dimensioned and designed such that it is suitable for flush-mounted installation in an installation box, for example behind an electrical / electronic installation device, in the interior of a building. For this purpose, the dimensioning of the housing can be designed such that it is possible to accommodate it in a typical installation box and at the same time the radar sensor can be designed correspondingly such that possible movement events can be sensed by massive outer walls, in particular by providing a correspondingly powerful UWB (ultra-wideband) transmitter as a radar sensor. The flush-mounted installation according to the invention in an installation box in the interior of the building not only solves the problem of visual abnormality that is known from the prior art, but also substantially reduces the susceptibility to defects with respect to moisture. As a positive further aspect, it is also avoided that rain is discharged in a bundled manner at the motion detector, which in the prior art regularly leads to soiling of the facade. This aspect represents a particularly annoying phenomenon in practice, since the entire facade side of a building must regularly be painted, only because rain traces are drawn under the motion detector attached to the facade side.According to a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention, the motion detector has fixing elements, in particular claws or springs, which are suitable for the constant positional fixing of the motion detector in the installation position within the installation box. This ensures constant reliable operation of the motion detector, in particular with respect to vibrations. In a further embodiment of the invention, the motion detector according to the invention has a radio transmitter, by means of which parameterization via an application on a terminal is made possible by a user.According to a further preferred embodiment of the invention, the motion detector has a radio transmitter, by means of which an actuator, for example a light or a loudspeaker, is actuated.According to a further particularly preferred embodiment of the invention, the housing of the motion detector is designed such that, in order to minimize the installation depth, it is inserted into a receptacle provided by the rear side of an installation device-a large part of the existing installation devices have rear-side projections which offer a receptacle. As a result, the motion detector according to the invention is also suitable in a simple manner for installation in flat installation boxes (depth about 40 mm) by virtue of the effective use of installation space, with the result that the field of use of the motion detector is widened. The invention further relates to an arrangement comprising a building wall having a building inner side and a building outer side, an installation box installed on the building inner side and a motion detector according to the invention, wherein the motion detector is arranged as a flush-mounted installation in an installation box, for example behind an electrical / electronic installation device, and performs a detection of an outdoor motion event on the side of the building outer wall by means of the radar sensor through the building wall. The invention further relates to a use of the motion detector according to the invention for detecting an outdoor motion event through a building wall in the exterior, while the motion detector is installed as a flush-mounted installation in an installation box arranged in the interior of a building. Both by means of the arrangement and by use, the same advantages are achieved which are achieved by the motion detector according to the invention. The invention is described below with reference to the attached figure on the basis of an exemplary embodiment. It shows: FIG. 1 : shows a schematic cross-sectional illustration of an arrangement according to the invention which detects a movement event.FIG. 1 shows a schematic cross-sectional illustration of an arrangement according to the invention which detects a movement event Y in the outer region. Such an arrangement comprises a building wall W with a building inner side WI and a building outer side WA, an installation box D installed on the building inner side WI, in which an electrical / electronic installation device I with a rocker BE, for example a switch or a button, is installed in the present case. The arrangement further comprises a motion detector B according to the invention, which is arranged as a flush-mounted installation in an installation box D, in the present case behind the electrical / electronic installation device I, and performs a detection of an outdoor motion event Y on the side of the building outer wall WA by means of a radar sensor R through the building wall W. It is particularly advantageous here that weather influences such as rain on the motion detector B and rain traces on the facade of the building exterior WA are eliminated just as well as the visual conspicuousness and thus also the risk of disassembly. The motion detector B has a radio transmitter F, by means of which an actuator L, for example a light or a loudspeaker, is actuated. The motion detector B according to the invention shown has a housing G which is designed such that it is inserted into a receptacle X provided by the rear side of an installation device I in order to minimize the installation depth. As a result, the installation space available is utilized particularly intelligently and use sites for the motion detector B according to the invention are created, which cannot be considered with conventional motion detectors simply because of lack of installation space and / or because of the lack of a large number of the installation boxes D that can be considered in the outer area. By flush-mounted installation of the motion detector B according to the invention on the inside WI of the building, potential sites of use are maximized, in particular because installation boxes D regularly occur in the interior of a building by a multiple more frequently than in the exterior. Thus, the coverage of an area to be detected by a plurality of motion detectors B can be additionally improved within the framework of the existing line structure of a building, so that the coverage area can be increased by a plurality of motion detectors B and the installation hurdle and installation costs can be lowered. The wiring of the motion detector B is indicated in FIG. 1 on the basis of the cable good V already present in the installation box D for connection to the energy supply of a building. The invention is described on the basis of an exemplary embodiment. Without departing from the scope of the applicable claims, a person skilled in the art would find numerous further possibilities for implementing them without this having to be explained in detail within the scope of these explanations.List of reference charactersB BE Motion detector Rocker D Installation box F Radio transmitter G Housing I Electrical / electronic installation device L Actuator R Radar sensor V Cable good W Wall WA Wall outer side WI Wall inner side X Receptacle Y Motion event
