Abstract

Side curtain airbag device for a vehicle with a frontal protection function, comprising a side airbag (1) in which a lateral surface of the side airbag (1) is connected to a frontal surface of at least one auxiliary airbag (2), which in the inflated state is arranged transversely inwards with respect to a longitudinal direction of the vehicle chassis, wherein the at least one auxiliary airbag (2) has an inflation inlet (31) provided outside an end surface thereof, or an inflation opening (32) formed by an end surface of the at least one auxiliary airbag (2) and the side airbag (1), or a connecting section integrally formed between an end surface of the at least one auxiliary airbag (2) and the side airbag (1), and a membrane (3) on a gas distribution opening formed on an end surface of the at least one auxiliary airbag (2).wherein a periphery of the membrane (3) on the gas distribution opening is surrounded by a periphery of the end surface of the at least one additional airbag (2), characterized in that the membrane (3) on the gas distribution opening has several seam lines sewn onto it and designed to tear, and arranged parallel to each other, wherein an outer profile defined by the several seam lines has a geometric shape, and wherein the membrane (3) on the gas distribution opening with the several seam lines is stacked or folded.
