Abstract

An actuating assembly can be configured to be attached to a medical instrument and can comprise an elongated body, a first engaging assembly, and a second engaging assembly. The elongated body can include a first end section and a second end section. The second end section can be opposite the first end section. The first engaging assembly can be located adjacent to the first end section. The first engaging assembly can be actuated to generate a first signal. The second actuating assembly can be located adjacent to the second end section. The second actuating assembly can be actuated to generate a second signal. The first signal and the second signal can be transmitted to the medical instrument to control one or more parameters of the medical instrument.
