Abstract

The article is a tool that assists in collecting a sample (e.g., cells, tissues, or fluids (e.g., blood) from a living organism (e.g., human body, animal, plant, etc.)). The article comprises a main body and a holder. As shown in the exploded view, the holder is configured to be attached to the main body via a connecting member by inserting one end of the connecting member into the holder while inserting the other end of the connecting member into the main body. The holder has an abutting portion that abuts against the syringe of the syringe and a fitting portion that fits into the reduced diameter portion of the piston rod of the syringe. The fitting portion of the holder is configured to be displaceable between a first position as shown in the top perspective view or bottom perspective view, and a second position as shown in the top perspective view or bottom perspective view showing a changed state. With the syringe of the syringe abutting the abutment portion of the holder and the reduced diameter portion of the piston rod of the syringe engaged with the engaging portion of the holder, the user can grasp the main body of the item and displace the engaging portion of the item with their fingers from a first position to a second position, thereby creating a negative pressure inside the syringe of the syringe and using the syringe to stably and accurately collect a predetermined amount of sample.
