Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present invention relates to a tire bead separating device for separating a tire bead that is in close contact with a rim portion of an automobile wheel from the rim portion. [Background technology]
[0002] A prior art tire bead separating device is described, for example, in US Pat. No. 5,399,323. [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]
[0003] [Patent Document 1] JP 2020-185842 A Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0004] Conventionally, when a tire is to be detached from a wheel during tire replacement work for an automobile, there is a problem that the work of positioning the tip of a bead guide member for separating the bead portion of the tire from the rim portion of the wheel in the vicinity of the bead portion of the wheel is time-consuming. Therefore, there is a demand for a tire bead detachment device that can reduce the work burden on the worker and easily detach the bead portion from the rim portion.
[0005] An object of the present invention is to provide a tire bead separating device that reduces the workload of an operator and can easily separate the bead portion of a tire from the rim portion of a wheel. [Means for solving the problem]
[0006] The present invention relates to a rotary table that detachably holds a lower rim portion of a wheel on which a tire is mounted and rotates the wheel about a vertical rotation axis; a bead guide member that is inserted between an upper rim portion of the wheel and an upper bead portion of the tire and that lifts the upper bead portion onto the upper rim portion; a holder that holds the bead guide member rotatably about a first axis perpendicular to the rotation axis; a first cylinder that moves the holder along a second axis parallel to the rotation axis; a second cylinder provided in the holder and configured to move the bead guide member along a third axis parallel to the rotation axis; a guide beam generating unit provided on the holder and emitting a guide beam.
[0007] In the present invention, the second cylinder is a double-acting pneumatic cylinder provided with a piston rod and a locking mechanism for fixing the piston rod.
[0008] In the present invention, the holding tool includes a swing arm that supports the bead guide member so as to be angularly displaceable about the first axis.
[0009] The present invention is also characterized in that the oscillating arm further includes a bead roller that is arranged axially symmetrically with respect to the first axis line with respect to the bead guide member and is rotatable about a fourth axis line that inclines in a direction away from the first axis line as it moves away from the rotation axis line. Effect of the Invention
[0010] According to the present invention, the lower rim of a wheel on which a tire is mounted is removably held on the rotating table. The guide beam of the guide beam generator is emitted toward, for example, the rim of the wheel at the height position of the second cylinder, and the worker visually checks the spot of the guide beam irradiated on the rim, thereby visually grasping the relative positional relationship between the spot and the tip of the bead guide member, so that the position of the tip of the bead guide member by the second cylinder can be predicted based on the position of the spot. With the spot irradiated on the rim, the first cylinder lowers the bead guide member by a certain distance, for example, corresponding to the stroke of the first cylinder, so that the tip of the bead guide member is located near the rim of the bead portion, and the tip of the bead guide member is inserted between the rim portion and the bead portion, so that the bead guide member is hooked to the bead portion. In addition, when the bead guide member is hooked to the bead portion, the bead guide member is raised a certain distance by the first cylinder, the bead portion is raised above the rim portion, and the wheel is rotated around the rotation axis by the rotating table, whereby the bead portion is guided onto the upper rim portion, and the upper bead portion of the tire is separated from the upper rim portion of the wheel. In such a bead separation operation, the worker checks the irradiation position of the guide beam so that the spot of the guide beam is irradiated on the rim portion by the second cylinder, and the tip end of the bead guide member can be positioned close to directly above the rim portion by the second cylinder. Therefore, the positioning operation of the bead guide member is simplified, the workload of the worker is reduced, and the positioning operation of the bead guide member can be facilitated.
[0011] According to the present invention, the second cylinder is provided with a locking mechanism, which fixes the piston rod and prevents the piston rod from moving along the second axis. This allows the tip of the bead guide member to be inserted between the upper rim portion of the wheel and the upper bead portion of the tire, and reliably separates the upper bead portion from the upper rim portion.
[0012] Furthermore, according to the present invention, since the holder includes a swing arm, the bead guide member can be angularly displaced about the first axis, and the bead guide member can be used separately from another member, such as a bead roller.
[0013] In addition, according to the present invention, a bead guide member and a bead roller are provided on the swing arm, and the bead guide member is used when separating the bead portion from the rim portion, and the bead roller is used when mounting the tire T on the wheel W, making it possible to easily use the bead guide member and the bead roller in a different manner, thereby facilitating tire changing work. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0015] Fig. 1 is a front view showing a tire mounting / removing apparatus 2 equipped with a tire bead separating device 1 according to one embodiment of the present invention, and Fig. 2 is a plan view of the tire mounting / removing apparatus 2. The tire mounting / removing apparatus 2 basically includes a base 53, a tire bead separating device 1, a bead portion guiding device A, and a mount press device C.
[0016] FIG. 3 is a front view of a tire bead separating device 1 according to one embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 4 is a plan view of the tire bead separating device 1, and FIG. 5 is a side view of the tire bead separating device 1 as viewed from the left side of FIG. 4. In this embodiment, the following description will be given assuming that the tire T is a low-profile tire or an ultra-low-profile tire. The tire bead separating device 1 according to this embodiment is provided on a base 53. The tire bead separating device 1 has a chuck portion 3 for detachably holding a lower rim portion WR2 of a wheel W on which a tire T is mounted, the lower rim portion WR2 having an upper bead portion TB1 and a lower bead portion TB2 in which a reinforcing material such as a metal wire is embedded, and includes a rotary table 4 for rotating the wheel W in the direction of arrow B about a vertical rotation axis L0, a bead guide member 5 made of a synthetic resin and having a substantially S-shape for guiding the upper bead portion TB1 of the tire T that is in close contact with the upper rim portion WR1 of the wheel W from the upper rim portion WR1 to above the upper rim portion WR1, and a second guide member 5 for supporting the bead guide member 5 on a second guide member 50 perpendicular to the rotation axis L0. The apparatus includes a holder 6 that holds the holder 6 rotatably around a first axis L1, a first cylinder CY1 that is provided on a base 53 and moves the holder 6 along a second axis L2 parallel to the rotation axis L0, a second cylinder CY2 that is provided on the holder 6 and moves the holder 6 together with the bead guide member 5 along a third axis L3 parallel to the rotation axis L0, a guide beam light generating unit 60 that is provided on the holder 6 and emits a guide beam light, and a bead press operating unit 70 that is provided on the holder 6 and operated by an operator during bead separation work by the bead guide member 5 and the bead roller 10. The first cylinder CY1 is, for example, a double-acting pneumatic cylinder. The second axis L2 and the third axis L3 are parallel to the rotation axis L0.
[0017] The holder 6 has a sixth cylinder CY6 for angularly displacing the bead guide member 5 about the axis of the pin 5a. The sixth cylinder CY6 is, for example, a single-acting pneumatic cylinder. The holder 6 is fixed to one end of a shaft 68. The shaft 68 is supported by a slide bearing 69 so as to be movable in the axial direction.
[0018] The second cylinder CY2 is a double-acting pneumatic cylinder equipped with a piston rod 7 and a locking mechanism 8 that fixes the piston rod 7. Since the second cylinder CY2 is equipped with the locking mechanism 8, the piston rod 7 can be fixed by the locking mechanism 8 and the piston rod 7 can be prevented from displacing along the third axis L3. As a result, a reaction force from the upper bead portion TB1 acts on the bead guide member 5 when the bead portion is pressed, and the piston rod 7 of the second cylinder CY2 is brought into a locked state in which it is prevented from moving along the third axis L3, and the bead guide member 5 is prevented from displacing along the second axis L2.
[0019] As shown in FIG. 16A, the bead guide member 5 is held by the holder 6 by the pin 5a so as to be angularly displaceable. The sixth cylinder CY6 and the compression spring 5b are interposed between the bead guide member 5 and the holder 6. The bead guide member 5 is biased by the spring force of the compression spring 5b in the direction of the arrow A1 around the axis of the pin 5a relative to the holder 6. When the tip of the bead guide member 5 is inserted between the upper bead portion TB1 and the upper rim portion WR1, the vicinity of the bead guide member 5 of the tire T is pressed by the pressing member 59 (see FIGS. 1 and 2) of the mount press device C, and as shown in FIG. 16B, a gap is formed between the upper rim portion WR1 and the upper bead portion TB1. The tip of the bead guide member 5 is angularly displaced in the direction of the arrow A2 by the sixth cylinder CY6 so that the tip of the bead guide member 5 does not come into contact with the upper rim portion WR1.
[0020] When the tip of the bead guide member 5 is inserted between the upper bead portion TB1 and the upper rim portion WR1, as described above, the sidewall of the tire T is pressed near the insertion position of the bead guide member 5 by the pressing member 59 of the mount press device C so that the tip of the bead guide member 5 does not come into contact with the upper rim portion WR1. When the bead guide member 5 is lifted, the sidewall on the opposite side of the rotation axis L0 from the insertion position of the bead guide member 5 is pressed by the pressing member 59 of the mount press device C as shown by the arrow P in Fig. 16E, and the upper bead portion TB1 of this pressing portion is dropped to the drop portion of the wheel W. This makes it possible to relax the constraint of the lifted portion of the bead guide member 5 on the upper bead portion TB1.
[0021] The holder 6 includes a swing arm 9 that supports the bead guide member 5 so as to be angularly displaceable about a first axis L1 (see FIG. 3). The swing arm 9 includes a bead roller 10 that is axially symmetrical with respect to the first axis L1 with respect to the bead guide member 5 and is rotatable about a fourth axis L4 that is inclined in a direction away from the first axis L1 as it moves away from the rotation axis L0.
[0022] Fig. 6A is a cross-sectional view showing the lock mechanism 8 in an unlocked state, and Fig. 6B is a cross-sectional view showing the lock mechanism 8 in a locked state. The lock mechanism 8 includes a cylindrical cylinder case 11 with a bottom, a cover body 12 that airtightly closes the opening of the cylinder case 11, a brake metal member 13 housed in the cylinder case 11, and a piston 14 housed in the cylinder case 11. The cylinder case 11, the cover body 12, and the brake metal member 13 are made of steel. As shown in Fig. 3, the second cylinder CY2 has a cylinder case 25 and a piston rod 7 inserted into the cylinder case 25, and the piston rod 7 penetrates the cylinder case 11 of the lock mechanism 8 in a direction perpendicular to the paper surface of Figs. 6A and 6B and is inserted into the brake metal member 13.
[0023] The brake metal member 13 has a substantially U-shaped cross section perpendicular to the axis, and the plunger 18 of the piston 14 is inserted between the two free ends of the brake metal member 13 via a plurality of spherical rolling pieces 17. The plunger 18 is formed in a truncated cone shape. The rolling pieces 17 are, for example, steel spheres. The lock mechanism 8 has a pressure chamber 20 defined by the piston 14 and the cover 12 in the space inside the cylinder case 11. The cover 12 has a screw hole 21, into which a manual lock release bolt 22 is screwed. The manual lock release bolt 22 has an engagement portion 23, also called a wrench hole. The cover 12 has a compressed air supply / exhaust port 30 behind the manual lock release bolt 22 in FIG. 6A, and compressed air can be supplied to the pressure chamber 20 and air in the pressure chamber 20 can be exhausted through the compressed air supply hole of the compressed air supply / exhaust port 30.
[0024] By engaging an engaging tool such as a hexagonal wrench with the engaging portion 23 of the manual lock release bolt 22 and rotating it in one direction, the manual lock release bolt 22 screws back, pushing down the piston 14 and pushing open the brake metal member 13 with the plunger 18, thereby manually releasing the locked state of the piston rod 7. Furthermore, when compressed air is supplied to the pressure chamber 20 from the compressed air supply / exhaust port 30, the plunger 18 of the piston 14 is inserted into the opening of the brake metal member 13 via the rolling piece 17, pushing open the brake metal member 13 as shown in Figure 6A, and releasing the locked state of the piston rod 7.
[0025] When the compressed air in the pressure chamber 20 is exhausted from the compressed air supply / exhaust port 30, the spring force of the compression spring 24 moves the piston 14 in a direction approaching the cover 12. This causes the plunger 18 to move in a direction to escape from the opening of the brake metal member 13, and the free ends of the brake metal member 13 are displaced in directions approaching each other, so that the piston rod 7 is clamped by the brake metal member 13 and locked.
[0026] The piston 14 has a disk-shaped main body 19, the plunger 18 protruding from one main surface of the main body 19, and a recess 29 opening to the other main surface of the main body 19. The compressed air is supplied from a compressed air pressure source, such as a compressed air supply device installed in a factory, through a pipeline, such as a compressed air supply pipe, to the compressed air supply / exhaust port 30 of the lock mechanism 8, the first cylinder CY1, the second cylinder CY2, the third cylinder CY3, the fourth cylinder CY4, the fifth cylinder CY5, and the sixth cylinder CY6. Compressed air is supplied to the pressure chamber 20 through the compressed air supply / exhaust port 30.
[0027] In the lock mechanism 8, when compressed air is supplied to the pressure chamber 20 via the compressed air supply / exhaust port 30, the piston 14 is pressurized. When compressed air is supplied to the compressed air supply / exhaust port 30, the piston 14 moves against the spring force of the compression spring 24 in a direction away from the cover 12, the plunger 18 is inserted via the rolling piece 17, the brake metal member 13 is pushed open as shown in Fig. 6A, and the locked state of the piston rod 7 is released. In this state, the piston rod 7 is movable along the third axis L3.
[0028] Furthermore, when the supply of compressed air to the compressed air supply / exhaust port 30 is stopped, the compressed air is released to the atmosphere through the compressed air supply / exhaust port 30, and the pressure inside the pressure chamber 20 becomes atmospheric pressure, so that the spring force of the compression spring 24 moves the piston 14 in a direction approaching the cover body 12. This causes the plunger 18 to move in a direction away from the rolling piece 17, and the free ends of the brake metal member 13 are displaced in directions approaching each other, so that the piston rod 7 is clamped by the brake metal member 13, resulting in a locked state.
[0029] In this way, the piston rod 7 can be locked or released by the lock mechanism 8, so that the second cylinder CY2 can prevent the piston rod 7 from displacing along the third axis L3 when the upper bead portion TB1 is separated by the bead guide member 5. This prevents the bead guide member 5 from displacing, and the bead guide member 5 can be moved along the second axis L2 by only the first cylinder CY1.
[0030] 1 and 2 again, the rotary table 4 is provided with a chuck means 40 for detachably holding the wheel W placed coaxially with the rotation axis L0. The chuck means 40 has four chuck jaws 41 arranged symmetrically with respect to the rotation axis L0, and each chuck jaw 41 is mounted on a slider 43 and driven to move toward and away from each other by a third cylinder CY3 consisting of a double-acting pneumatic cylinder. These chuck jaws 41 clamp the lower rim portion WR2 of the placed wheel W from the radially outward side, and can hold the wheel W coaxially with the rotation axis L0. When the chuck jaws 41 are displaced away from each other, the clamped state of the wheel W is released, and the wheel W can be removed from the rotary table 4 by an operator.
[0031] The bead portion guiding device A is provided on a base 53. When the tire T is so hard that the bead portion TB cannot be separated from the rim portion WR, the bead portion guiding device A is not used, and the tire bead separating device 1 is used.
[0032] 1 and 2, the bead portion guiding device A includes a lifting arm 55 that is movable in an upward and downward direction, a bead guiding tool 56 that is provided at the lower end of the lifting arm 55, a horizontal arm 57 that holds the lifting arm 55 and is movable in the forward and backward directions toward / away from the rotation axis L0, and a support pillar 58.
[0033] The bead guide tool 56 is detachably attached to the lower end of the lifting arm 55 with a bolt or the like, and is used to support the upper bead portion TB1 from below while engaged with the upper rim portion WR1 of the wheel W mounted on the turntable 4, and to guide the upper bead portion TB1 above the upper rim portion WR1 as the tire T and wheel W rotate, thereby separating the upper bead portion TB1 from the upper rim portion WR1. The bead guide tool 56 is made of synthetic resin to prevent damage due to contact with the tire T. When the upper bead portion TB1 is guided onto the upper rim portion WR1 by the bead guiding tool 56, the portion of the sidewall of the tire T on the opposite side of the rotation axis L0 from the engagement position of the bead guiding tool 56 (the position of arrow P in Figure 16E described above) is pressed by the pressing member 59 of the mount press device C, causing the tire T to tilt obliquely with respect to the wheel W. This makes it easier for the upper bead portion TB1 to come out of the upper rim portion WR1 because the inner diameter of the upper bead portion TB1 is smaller than the outer diameter of the upper rim portion WR1.
[0034] The mount press device C is provided on the base 53. The mount press device C includes a support 81, a fourth cylinder CY4 consisting of a double-acting pneumatic cylinder, an arm 82 that is driven to move up and down along the support 81 by the fourth cylinder CY4, and a mount press operation unit 62 that is operated by an operator when performing tire removal work. The arm 82 has a first arm 82a, a second arm 82b, and a third arm 82c. A pressing member 59 made of synthetic resin is provided at the tip of the third arm 82c. The mount press operation unit 62 is provided on the second arm 82b.
[0035] 1, a bead breaker unit 50 is provided below the tire bead separating device 1 on one side of a base 53, where an operator carries in an upright tire T of a standard vehicle and separates each bead portion TB from each rim portion WR of a wheel W. The bead breaker unit 50 includes a blade 54 for pressing the bead portion TB of the upright tire T from the side, a support member 61 rising from the blade 54, a bead breaker operating unit 80 provided on the upper end of the support member 61 and operated by the operator, and a fifth cylinder CY5 consisting of a double-acting pneumatic cylinder for driving the blade 54.
[0036] The bead breaker operating unit 80 is operated by an operator when the bead breaker unit 50 separates the upper bead portion TB1 of the tire T from the upper rim portion WR1 of the wheel W of the tire T of a standard automobile, and separates the lower bead portion TB2 from the lower rim portion WR2.
[0037] The base 53 is equipped with a pillar tilting pedal Ps for controlling the tilting and standing up of the pillar 28, a chucking pedal Pc for opening and closing the slider 43 to fix and release the wheel W, and a blade 54 of the bead breaker portion 50 which can be displaced in the bead pressing direction, i.e., in the direction approaching the base 53, to press the bead portion TB1 and separate the bead portion TB1 from the upper rim portion WR1, thereby eliminating the tight adhesion.
[0038] FIG. 7 is a front view showing the mount press operation unit 62, FIG. 8 is a side view of the mount press operation unit 62 as viewed from the left in FIG. 7, and FIG. 9 is a plan view of the mount press operation unit 62 as viewed from above in FIG. 8. The mount press operation unit 62 includes a housing 63, an irradiation start button 64 provided in the housing 63 for starting irradiation of the guide beam light to the guide beam light generating unit 60 (see FIG. 3), an irradiation stop button 65 provided in the housing 63 for stopping irradiation of the guide beam light, and an automatic operation start button 66. An operation lever 67 is fixed to one side wall of the housing 63. The guide beam light generating unit 60 may be configured to include, for example, a laser diode (LD) and emit a green laser beam with a spot diameter of about 4 to 6 mm as the guide beam light. When the green laser beam is irradiated onto the upper rim portion WR1 of the wheel W, the worker can clearly recognize the spot, and the irradiation position can be easily and clearly recognized.
[0039] When performing the work of removing the upper bead portion TB1 from the upper rim portion WR1 by the bead guide member 5, the worker moves the first cylinder CY1 and the tip of the bead guide member 5 by the second cylinder CY2 to a position where the laser spot of the laser beam of the guide light beam generating unit 60 is irradiated to a predetermined position of the upper rim portion WR1. The stroke of this first cylinder CY1 is constant. Therefore, the bead guide member 5 can be displaced up and down by a constant distance of the stroke by the first cylinder CY1 based on the height position of the bead guide member 5 determined by the second cylinder CY2. As a result, the position where the bead guide member 5 is lowered to the lowest position by the first cylinder CY1 becomes the insertion start position between the upper bead portion TB1 and the upper rim portion WR1, and the insertion start position of the tip of the bead guide member 5 is determined. In this way, by lowering the bead guide member 5 by a constant distance corresponding to the stroke of the first cylinder CY1, the tip of the bead guide member 5 can be positioned in the vicinity of the upper bead portion TB1 and the rim portion WR1.
[0040] Next, the pressing member 59 of the mount press device C presses the upper bead portion TB1 near the tip of the bead guide member 5, forming a gap between the upper bead portion TB1 and the upper rim portion WR1. After that, when the operator presses the automatic operation start button 66, the tip of the bead guide member 5 is inserted into the gap between the upper rim portion WR1 and the upper bead portion TB1, and the bead guide member 5 descends until the bead portion TB1 is latched by the bead guide member 5. After that, the bead guide member 5 rises, and the upper bead portion TB1 is pulled up onto the upper rim portion WR1, thereby separating the upper bead portion TB1 from the upper rim portion WR1. In this manner, with the bead guide member 5 hooked to the upper bead portion TB1, the bead guide member 5 is raised by a certain distance by the first cylinder CY1, whereby the upper bead portion TB1 is raised above the upper rim portion WR1, and the wheel is rotated around the rotation axis by the rotating table, whereby the upper bead portion TB1 is guided onto the upper rim portion WR1, and the upper bead portion TB1 of the tire T is separated from the upper rim portion WR1 of the wheel W. In this manner, the process up to the separation of the upper bead portion TB1 from the upper rim portion WR1 is automatically performed. When performing such an automatic bead separation operation, after the tip portion of the bead guide member 5 is inserted into the gap between the upper rim portion WR1 and the upper bead portion TB1, the pressing member 59 of the mount press device C is manually raised from the tire T and retreated to a position where it does not interfere with the movement of the bead guide member 5.
[0041] Fig. 10 is a front view showing the bead press operation unit 70, Fig. 11 is a side view of the bead press operation unit 70 seen from the left in Fig. 10, and Fig. 12 is a plan view of the bead press operation unit 70 seen from above in Fig. 10. The bead press operation unit 70 includes a housing 78, a bead press up / down switch 72, a bead up / down switch 73, a head lock switch 74, a cream injection switch 75, a bead up lock switch 76, and a head lock down switch 77.
[0042] The bead press up / down switch 72 is comprised of an operating lever switch, and when an operator operates it to angularly displace it upward, the piston rod 7 of the second cylinder CY2 is extended along the third axis L3, thereby lifting the holder 6. When an operator operates the bead press up / down switch 72 to angularly displace it downward, the piston rod 7 of the second cylinder CY2 is retracted along the third axis L3, thereby lowering the holder 6. When the bead press up / down switch 72 is not operated and is in the neutral state, the locking mechanism 8 operates to lock the holder 6, thereby preventing it from moving up and down.
[0043] The bead-up up / down switch 73 is comprised of an operating lever switch, and when the worker operates it to pivot upward, the demount roller 51 can be raised, and when the worker operates it to pivot downward, the demount roller 51 can be lowered.
[0044] The head lock switch 74 is a lock state changeover switch for unlocking the axial displacement of the shaft 68 to which the holder 6 is fixed, and making the shaft 68 movable in the axial direction. This allows the holder 6 to be movable in the axial direction L1, and therefore the bead guide member 5 and the bead roller 10 can be displaced in the axial direction L1, and the bead guide member 5 can be moved in the directions of the arrows B1 and B2 as shown in Fig. 16A. When the operator switches the head lock switch 74 to the lock state, the sixth cylinder CY6 is retracted, and the tip of the bead guide member 5 can be moved in the directions of the arrows A1 and A2 so as to be located immediately above the rim WR1 as shown in Fig. 16B.
[0045] The cream injection switch 75 consists of a button switch, and when an operator presses it, a liquid lubricant, also known as bead cream, can be sprayed from a nozzle onto the upper bead portion TB1 of the tire T mounted on the turntable 4.
[0046] The bead-up lock switch 76 is a switch for locking the displacement of the demount roller 51 (see FIG. 1) in the front-rear direction.
[0047] The head lock lowering switch 77 is a switch that extends the piston rod of the first cylinder CY1 to lower the bead guide member 5.
[0048] Fig. 13 is a front view showing the bead breaker operating unit 80, Fig. 14 is a side view of the bead breaker operating unit 80 as viewed from the left in Fig. 13, and Fig. 15 is a plan view of the bead breaker operating unit 80 as viewed from above in Fig. 13. The bead breaker operating unit 80 includes a housing 84, a first operating unit 85 provided in the housing 84, a second operating unit 86 provided in the housing 84, and a handle 87 provided in the housing 84. When the operator feels that the bead portion TB may be separated from the rim portion WR, the first operating unit 85 is operated by the operator when pressing the bead portion TB with the blade 54 in a decompressed state in order to prevent the bead portion TB from suddenly separating from the rim portion WR and causing a large impact. The second operating part 86 is an operating lever that is angularly displaced in the "extending" direction (one direction) by the operator when moving the blade 54 away from the bead portion TB, and is angularly displaced in the "retracting" direction (the other direction) by the operator when pressing the bead portion TB with the blade 54.
[0049] Fig. 16A is a cross-sectional view showing a state where a guide beam is emitted from the guide beam generating unit 60, Fig. 16B is a cross-sectional view showing a state where the bead guide member 5 is manually pulled out, Fig. 16C is a cross-sectional view showing a state where the height of the bead guide member 5 is adjusted by the second cylinder CY2 so that the guide beam is irradiated onto the upper rim portion WR1, Fig. 16D is a cross-sectional view showing a state where the bead guide member 5 is lowered by the stroke of the first cylinder CY1, and Fig. 16E is a cross-sectional view showing a state where the upper bead portion TB1 is pulled up onto the upper rim portion WR1 by the bead guide member 5.
[0050] 16A to 16E, a description will be given of the operation of pulling out the upper bead portion TB1 above the upper rim portion WR1 of the wheel W. When removing the tire T from the wheel W, the worker presses the irradiation start button 64 (see FIG. 7) of the mount press operation unit 62 to cause the guide beam generator 60 to irradiate the upper bead portion WB1 or the upper rim portion WR1 with a guide beam, as shown in FIG. 16A.
[0051] The worker manually performs the operations of moving the bead guide member 5 to just before the upper rim portion WR1, as shown in FIG. 16B, adjusting the upper rim portion WR1 to a height position where the beam light is irradiated using the second cylinder CY2, as shown in FIG. 16C, and pressing the automatic operation start button 66. As shown in FIG. 16D, the first cylinder CY1 is automatically lowered a certain stroke to insert the bead guide member 5 between the upper rim portion WR1 and the upper bead portion TB1, and as shown in FIG. 16E, the upper bead portion TB1 is hooked and pulled up onto the upper rim portion WR1.
[0052] As described above, simply by positioning the irradiation position of the laser spot of the guide light beam so that the tip of the bead guide member 5 is located on the upper rim portion WR1, the tip of the bead guide member 5 always moves by a stroke of a fixed length determined by the first cylinder CY1, so that the bead separation work of lifting the upper bead portion TB1 up onto the upper rim portion WR1 can be smoothly performed. This makes it possible to facilitate the positioning work of the worker and reduce the workload of the worker, even when performing the work of removing a tire T that is already mounted on a plurality of wheels.
[0053] Therefore, the effort required for positioning the tip of the bead guide member 5 near the upper rim portion WR1 is simplified, and the upper bead portion TB1 can be easily separated from the upper rim portion WR1 by inserting the tip of the bead guide member 5 between the upper rim portion WR1 and the upper bead portion TB1 without contacting the tip of the bead guide member 5 with the upper rim portion WR1, and hooking the upper bead portion TB1 to the bead guide member 5, and then retracting the first cylinder CY1.
[0054] Next, as shown in FIG. 16C, the bead guide member 5 is positioned by adjusting the height of the tip of the bead guide member 5 using the second cylinder CY2 so that a laser spot is irradiated onto the upper rim portion WR1, and then lowered so that the tip of the bead guide member 5 is inserted between the upper rim portion WR1 and the bead portion TB1 and the bead portion TB1 is hooked onto the bead guide member 5. As shown in FIG. 16C, the bead guide member 5 is raised by the first cylinder CY1 so that the bead portion TB1 is pulled out above the upper rim portion WR1. In this state, the turntable 4 is rotated around the rotation axis L0 so that the bead portion TB1 can be removed above the upper rim portion WR1.
[0055] According to the present invention, the lower rim portion WR2 of the wheel W on which the tire T is mounted is removably held by the chuck means 40 on the turntable 4. The turntable 4 drives and rotates the held wheel W about a vertical rotation axis L0. The bead guide member 5 inserts the upper bead portion TB1 of the tire T between the upper rim portion WR1 of the wheel W and the tire T, and moves the upper bead portion TB1 away from the upper rim portion WR1. By rotating the wheel W about the rotation axis L0 by the turntable 4, the upper bead portion TB1 is guided onto the upper rim portion WR1, and the upper bead portion TB1 of the tire T is separated from the upper rim portion WR1 of the wheel.
[0056] In such a bead separation operation, by moving the bead guide member 5 by the second cylinder CY2 so that the irradiation position of the guide light beam is located on the upper rim portion WR1, the bead guide member 5 is lowered a certain distance by the first cylinder CY1, and then raised to pull up the upper bead portion TB1 onto the upper rim portion WR1, thereby removing the upper bead portion TB1 from the upper rim portion WR1. When the wheel W is rotated about the rotation axis L0 by the turntable 4 with the upper bead portion TB1 removed from the upper rim portion WR1, the entire circumference of the upper bead portion TB1 is guided above the upper rim portion WR1 by the bead guide member 5, and the upper bead portion TB1 is separated from the upper rim portion WR1.
[0057] In this way, the first cylinder CY1 drives the bead guide member 5, and the tip of the bead guide member 5 is inserted between the upper bead portion TB1 and the upper rim portion WR1, and the upper bead portion TB1 is separated from the upper rim portion WR1, so that the upper bead portion TB1 can be reliably separated from the upper rim portion WR1. This makes it easier for the worker to position the bead guide member 5, and further reduces the worker's workload.
[0058] According to the present invention, the second cylinder CY2 is provided with a locking mechanism, which fixes the piston rod and prevents the piston rod from displacing along the second axis L2 of the first cylinder. This prevents the piston rod of the second cylinder CY2 from displacing along the first axis L1 due to the reaction force from the upper bead portion TB1 to the bead guide member 5 when the bead guide member is inserted. This prevents the bead guide member 5 from being displaced by the reaction force from the upper bead portion TB1, and the tip of the bead guide member 5 can be inserted between the upper bead portion TB1 and the upper rim portion WR1, and the tip of the bead guide member 5 can be pulled up and separated from the upper rim portion WR1 onto the upper bead portion TB1, thereby reliably separating the upper bead portion TB1 that is in close contact with the upper rim portion WR1.
[0059] Furthermore, according to the present invention, since the holder 6 is provided with a swing arm, the bead guide member 5 can be angularly displaced about the first axis, and the bead guide member 5 can be used separately from other members, such as bead rollers.
[0060] In addition, according to the present invention, the bead guide member 5 and the bead roller 10 are provided on the swing arm 9, and the bead guide member 5 is used when separating the upper bead portion TB1 from the upper rim portion WR1, and the bead roller 10 is used when mounting the tire T on the wheel W. This makes it possible to easily use the bead guide member 5 and the bead roller 10 in a different manner, facilitating switching between the operation of separating the tire T from the wheel W and the operation of mounting the tire T on the wheel W.
[0061] Although the embodiments of the present invention have been described in detail above, the present invention is not limited to the above-mentioned embodiments, and various modifications and improvements are possible within the scope of the gist of the present invention. It goes without saying that all or part of the components of each of the above-mentioned embodiments can be appropriately combined within the scope of not contradicting each other.
