AI Technical Summary
Technical Problem
Existing paperboard-based containers for pourable food products face limitations in providing unrestricted access and efficient use of the top panel due to the presence of upper seal structures that obstruct direct consumption and placement of opening devices.
Method used
The upper seal area is folded over a longitudinal seal strip instead of the top panel, allowing the top panel to be free of seal structures and enabling unrestricted access and placement of opening devices or closures.
Benefits of technology
This design provides unobstructed access to the food product, allowing for efficient use of the top panel and easy dispensing through the placement of opening devices or closures, enhancing the drinking experience.
