Abstract

The invention relates to a process for producing edible film for biodegradable packaging, which can be used for packaging semi-finished and finished products in the food and pharmaceutical industries.The process, according to the invention, includes cutting fruits and fruit peels into pieces, optionally scalding or steaming thereof, grinding the fruits to obtain a homogeneous paste, homogenizing the fruit paste with the addition of a plasticizer, casting the film by applying a thin and uniform layer and drying it until a predetermined humidity is reached.
