Aerobic fixed-film wastewater treatment tank

Abstract

The present utility model relates to an aerobic fixed-film integrated system (AFIS) wastewater treatment tank comprising a top-mounted wastewater distribution duct with side weirs for uniform flow distribution, a bed of biofilm carriers, an aeration assembly for controlled aerobic conditions, vertically oriented wedge-wire screens, and online sensors operatively connected to an AI-based multivariate control system for dynamically optimizing aeration and hydraulic flow within the tank. Customized biofilm carriers colonized with locally adapted microorganisms enhance biological treatment, providing a compact, energy-efficient apparatus for aerobic wastewater treatment compared to conventional wastewater treatment systems.
