AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Existing methods for producing metal ring nets are laborious, require many workers, have high production costs, and are limited by the need for manual handling and restricted ring diameters, leading to slow production and inefficiencies.

Method used

A machine and method for automatically producing metal ring nets using a bending station with a support member and blocking/unblocking mechanism to form rings, which are then released by gravitational force for connection to preformed rings, eliminating the need for manual handling and allowing for larger ring diameters.

Benefits of technology

The solution enables rapid, economical, and reliable production of large metal ring nets with reduced operator involvement, significantly improving production efficiency and reducing costs.

Abstract

A machine for automatically producing a net (R) comprising rings (A) made of metal wire (1) which are connected to each other, comprising a bending station (120), to which a metal wire (1) which can be curved in coils is supplied in order to form a ring (A). The bending station (120) comprises a support member (8) which defines a plane (P) in which the ring (A) being formed is supported. The bending station also comprises a blocking / unblocking member (9) which is movable from an operating blocking configuration, in which it retains the ring (A) on the support member (8) in a position in which the ring is formed by connecting it to two other preformed rings, to a release configuration, in which the ring (A) formed is released by gravitational force so as to be supported by the other two preformed rings.
