Abstract

The present specification relates to a charging device. A charging device according to the present disclosure comprises: a main body in which a charger to which a cable is connected is located; a front door covering the front surface of the main body and a portion of both side surfaces of the main body; a pair of side covers covering the remainder of the side surfaces of the main body; a rear cover covering the rear surface of the main body; and an antenna disposed on the upper surface of the main body, wherein the upper surface of the main body may be formed lower than the upper surfaces of the front door, the pair of side covers, and the rear cover.

Description

Charging device

[0001] The present embodiments relate to a charging device, and more specifically, to a charging device that prevents the external exposure of an antenna.

[0002] Generally, electric vehicles (EVs) have not been commercialized for a long time due to issues such as the heavy weight of the batteries mounted on the vehicle and the time required for charging, compared to gasoline or diesel cars. However, with the recent depletion of fossil fuels and environmental pollution, interest in EVs that utilize electric energy instead of fossil fuels has intensified, leading to active research and development in this area.

[0003] As a result, the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) has been increasing recently. EVs are equipped with batteries that supply power for propulsion and store electricity within them. Therefore, to operate an EV continuously, the battery must be charged. Accordingly, infrastructure for EV charging is required, and to meet the growing demand for EVs, fixed, standing charging facilities are being installed in various locations.
