Abstract
The present invention provides a method for storing and utilizing oxygen gas using an organic clathrate, the method comprising: a first step of pulverizing hydroquinone; a second step of injecting the pulverized hydroquinone into a reaction cell at a pressure of 70-200 bar and degassing residual gas; a third step of injecting concentrated oxygen gas into the degassed cell; a fourth step of allowing the oxygen-injected cell to stand for 7-12 days so as to saturate the reaction; a fifth step of recovering the hydroquinone saturated with oxygen gas and pelletizing same; and a sixth step of heating the pelletized hydroquinone to 313-393 K. According to the present invention, the method is a novel method for storing oxygen gas in a solid form under room-temperature and atmospheric-pressure conditions using an organic clathrate, and can be used in various fields.
