[0001] Cross-references to related applications
[0002] This disclosure claims priority to Chinese patent application No. 202411780184.8, filed on December 5, 2024, entitled “Container”, the entire contents of which are incorporated herein by reference. Technical Field
[0003] This disclosure generally relates to the technical field of cargo containers and shipping containers, and more specifically to a shipping container. Background Technology
[0004] Containers can carry packaged or unpackaged goods for sea, land, and air transport, making them an important mode of transport in international trade multimodal transport. Containers do not require moving the goods inside during transshipment, allowing for rapid loading and unloading as a single transport unit. They are easy to handle using mechanical equipment and can be reused repeatedly over a long period. Using containers for freight transport can greatly improve transport efficiency and reduce transport costs.
[0005] For oversized CPC containers used in transporting pallets, to ensure the container's internal width, the side panels extend beyond the bottom corner pieces and outer corner posts, overlapping with the end side panels. The end side panels have relatively weak structural strength. Since the end side panels need to support the large flat surface of the pallet, welding the rear end side panels results in significant deformation of the large flat surface, affecting the container's internal width and the flatness of the side panels at this point.
[0006] Therefore, there is a need to provide a container that can at least partially solve the above problems. Summary of the Invention
[0007] The summary section introduces a series of simplified concepts, which will be further explained in detail in the detailed description section. [0044] This disclosure discloses a container.
[0045] Exemplary embodiments according to this disclosure will now be described in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
[0046] As shown in Figures 1, 2, and 3, in an optional embodiment, a container 100 includes end corner posts, intermediate corner posts, and reinforced end side panels.
[0047] End corner posts are located at the front end 193 or rear end 194 of container 100, specifically at the apex corner of the front end 193 or the apex corner of the rear end 194. In Figure 1, the front end 193 of container 100 has a front corner post 123, and the rear end 194 has a rear corner post 104. The rear end 194 of container 100 has an openable and closable door 101, while the front end 193 is a closed end with an end plate 125. The end corner posts are the front corner post 123 and / or the rear corner post 104.
[0048] The intermediate corner posts are located on the side of the container 100, and are closer to the center of the container 100 than the end corner posts. In Figure 1, a first intermediate corner post 170 is located near the front end 193 of the container 100, and a second intermediate corner post 180 is located near the rear end 194 of the container 100. A side panel 114 is provided between the first intermediate corner post 170 and the second intermediate corner post 180. Therefore, the intermediate corner posts can include both the first intermediate corner post 170 and the second intermediate corner post 180. The container 100 also includes an intermediate bottom corner piece 115, which is located at the bottom end of the second intermediate corner post 180.
[0049] The reinforced end side panel is located on the side of the container body of container 100. The first side of the reinforced end side panel is connected to the end corner post, and the second side is connected to the middle corner post. The reinforced end side panel includes an end side panel and a reinforcing member. The reinforcing member is superimposed on the end side panel and fixedly connected to the end side panel, such as by welding.
[0050] In Figure 1, a first reinforcing end side plate 160 is provided near the rear end 194 of the container 100. The first side 164 of the first reinforcing end side plate 160 is connected to the rear corner post 104, and the second side 165 is connected to the first intermediate corner post 170. A second reinforcing end side plate 190 is provided near the front end 193 of the container 100. The first side 191 of the second reinforcing end side plate 190 is connected to the front corner post 123, and the second side 192 is connected to the second intermediate corner post 180. Therefore, the reinforcing end side plate may include the first reinforcing end side plate 160 and the second reinforcing end side plate 190.
[0051] In this embodiment, the container 100 has a reinforced end side plate on the side of the container body. The reinforced end side plate includes superimposed end side plates and reinforcing members. The reinforced end side plate connects the end corner posts and the middle corner posts. While ensuring the inner width, the structure of the side of the container 100 is strengthened, which effectively avoids the deformation of the end side plate and improves the safety of the container 100.
[0052] The container 100 has two sets of front corner posts 123 at the front end 193 and two sets of rear corner posts 104 at the rear end 194. Each side has two sets of reinforced end side plates and two sets of intermediate corner posts.
[0053] In this embodiment, the first reinforcing end side plate portion 160 and the second reinforcing end side plate portion 190 are symmetrically arranged with the same structure, and the first intermediate corner post 170 and the second intermediate corner post 180 are symmetrically arranged with the same structure. The following description mainly uses the first reinforcing end side plate portion 160 and the first intermediate corner post 170 as examples. The first reinforcing end side plate portion 160 includes an end side plate 105 and a reinforcing member. The reinforcing member is superimposed on the end side plate 105 and fixedly connected to the end side plate 105, such as by welding. In one embodiment, as shown in Figures 1 and 2, the rear end corner post 104 is disposed at the rear end 194 of the container 100. The rear end corner post 104 includes an outer corner post 143 and an inner corner post 144. The outer corner post 143 and the inner corner post 144 are partially superimposed and fixedly connected, such as by welding. The inner corner post 144 of the door end protrudes towards the first reinforcing end side plate portion 160 relative to the outer corner post 143 of the door end, and the first reinforcing end side plate portion 160 is fixedly connected to the inner corner post 144 of the door end. Along the width direction of the container 100, the inner side of the first reinforcing end side plate portion 160 does not extend beyond the inner side of the inner corner post 144 of the door end. Specifically, the side of the reinforcing member does not extend beyond the inner side of the inner corner post 144 of the door end, thus preventing the first reinforcing end side plate portion 160 from occupying the internal space of the container 100.
[0054] As shown in Figure 2, the inner corner post 144 of the door end is flat, and the side of the end side plate 105 is fixedly connected to the outer side of the inner corner post 144. Reinforcing members (first reinforcing member 108 and second reinforcing member 107) are located inside the first reinforcing end side plate portion 160. Along the width direction of the container 100, the reinforcing members do not extend beyond the inner side of the inner corner post 144, thereby increasing the internal width of the container 100 so that two pallets can be placed side-by-side. The reference dimensions for the pallets are 1200mm*800mm, and the reference internal width of the container 100 is 2414mm (external width not exceeding 2462mm), allowing two pallets to be placed side-by-side.
[0055] Understandably, the second reinforcing end plate portion 190 includes an end plate 119 and reinforcing members (first reinforcing member 121 and second reinforcing member 120).
[0056] The outer corner post 143 of the door end has an L-shaped cross-section, which facilitates the installation of the hinge 142 to mount the cabinet door 101. A door sealing strip 141 is installed on the side of the cabinet door 101. The door sealing strip 141 is located in the gap between the cabinet door 101 and the inner corner post 144 of the door end, and is used to seal the gap. The outer lip of the door sealing strip 141 has a dimension not exceeding 38mm, and the inner lip has a dimension not exceeding 26mm.
[0057] The front corner post 123 and the rear corner post 104 have different structures. The front corner post 123 can adopt the existing structure.
[0058] In one embodiment, as shown in Figures 1 and 4, the container 100 further includes a bottom corner bracket 102 and a top corner bracket 103. The bottom corner bracket 102 is disposed at the bottom end of the rear corner post 104. The top corner bracket 103 is disposed at the top end of the rear corner post 104. The outer corner post 143 extends no more than 5 mm beyond the bottom corner bracket 102 and the top corner bracket 103 along the width direction of the container 100, without significantly increasing the external width of the container 100.
[0059] In one embodiment, the thickness of the inner corner post 144 at the door end is not less than 14mm, and can be 16mm. The total thickness of the rear corner post 104 is 18 to 26mm, which is the thickness after the outer corner post 143 at the door end and the inner corner post 144 at the door end are superimposed.
[0060] In one embodiment, as shown in FIG5, an end side plate 105 is disposed on the outer side of the first reinforced end side plate portion 160, and a reinforcing member is disposed on the inner side of the first reinforced end side plate portion 160. The reinforcing member includes a first reinforcing member 108 and a second reinforcing member 107. The end side plate 105 protrudes outward toward the container 100. The first reinforcing member 108 and the second reinforcing member 107 do not extend beyond the inner side of the door end inner corner post 144 along the width direction of the container 100. The second reinforcing member 107 may be lower than the first reinforcing member 108 to avoid intruding into the internal space of the container 100.
[0061] Alternatively, as shown in Figure 6, the end side plate 105 is disposed inside the first reinforced end side plate portion 160, and the reinforcing member is disposed outside the first reinforced end side plate portion 160. The end side plate 105 protrudes towards the interior of the container 100, and the end side plate 105 does not extend beyond the inner side of the inner corner post 144 of the door end along the width direction of the container 100. The second reinforcing member 107 may be lower than the first reinforcing member 108.
[0062] In one embodiment, as shown in Figures 5 and 6, the end panel 105 includes a flat plate portion 151 and a recessed portion 152. The flat plate portion 151 is provided with multiple reinforcing ribs 153 arranged along the height direction of the container 100, which can improve the structural strength of the flat plate portion 151 and reduce deformation. The reinforcing ribs 153 protrude inward toward the interior of the first reinforced end panel portion 160, without occupying external space, thus avoiding affecting the internal or external width of the container 100. The protruding direction of the reinforcing ribs 153 is always opposite to the protruding direction of the end panel 105, and the protruding height of the reinforcing ribs 153 is greater than the thickness of the end panel 105, which can improve the strength and stability of the first reinforced end panel portion 160 and increase its bending resistance.
[0063] The recessed portion 152 is located on the side of the flat plate portion 151 and is used for fixed connection with the rear corner post 104 or the first intermediate corner post 170, such as by welding. The recessed portion 152 is a flat plate structure with a small width, which facilitates the fixed connection. An inclined connecting portion 154 is provided between the recessed portion 152 and the flat plate portion 151, so that the cross-section of the end side plate 105 is grooved. On the one hand, it can absorb the protruding height of the reinforcing rib 153, and on the other hand, it can accommodate the reinforcing member, so as to prevent the thickness of the first reinforced end side plate portion 160 from affecting the internal or external width of the container 100. The end side plate 105 can be formed by stamping a single piece of steel plate to form the flat plate portion 151, the reinforcing rib 153, the inclined connecting portion 154, the recessed portion 152, and other structures.
[0064] In one embodiment, the thickness of the end plate 105 is not less than 3 mm.
[0065] In one embodiment, as shown in Figures 5 and 6, the reinforcing member includes a first reinforcing member 108. The first reinforcing member 108 has a U-shaped or Ω-shaped cross-section, is disposed near the middle of the end side plate 105, and is fixedly connected to the end side plate 105.
[0066] In one embodiment, as shown in Figures 5 and 6, the reinforcing member further includes a second reinforcing member 107. The second reinforcing member 107 is flat or has an L-shaped cross-section. The second reinforcing member 107 is disposed on both sides of the first reinforcing member 108 and is fixedly connected to the first reinforcing member 108 and the end side plate 105, respectively.
[0067] The heights of the first reinforcing member 108 and the second reinforcing member 107 are equal to the height of the side plate 114, which can significantly improve the structural strength of the first reinforcing end side plate portion 160.
[0068] In Figure 5, the second reinforcing member 107 is flat, and the first reinforcing member 108 has a U-shaped cross-section. The second reinforcing member 107 can be welded and fixedly connected to the inner corner post 144 of the door end and the first reinforcing member 108, and the first reinforcing member 108 can be welded and fixedly connected to the end side plate 105.
[0069] In Figure 6, the cross-section of the second reinforcing member 107 is L-shaped, and the cross-section of the first reinforcing member 108 is U-shaped. The second reinforcing member 107 can be welded and fixedly connected to the end side plate 105 and the first reinforcing member 108, and the first reinforcing member 108 can be welded and fixedly connected to the end side plate 105.
[0070] In one embodiment, the first reinforced end side plate portion 160 further includes a reinforced side plate 106. The width of the reinforced side plate 106 is smaller than that of the end side plate 105, and it can be combined with the end side plate 105 to further improve the structural strength of the first reinforced end side plate portion 160.
[0071] As shown in Figure 7, the end side plate 105 is disposed on the outer side of the first reinforced end side plate portion 160, and the reinforced side plate 106 is disposed on the inner side of the first reinforced end side plate portion 160. A reinforcing member is disposed between the end side plate 105 and the reinforced side plate 106. The reinforcing member includes a reinforcing member 140 and a reinforcing member 150. The end side plate 105 protrudes outwards toward the container 100. The reinforced side plate 106 does not extend beyond the inner side of the door end corner post 144 along the width direction of the container 100, thus avoiding intrusion into the internal space of the container 100.
[0072] Alternatively, as shown in Figure 8, the end side plate 105 is disposed on the inner side of the first reinforced end side plate portion 160, the reinforced side plate 106 is disposed on the outer side of the first reinforced end side plate portion 160, and the reinforcing member is disposed between the end side plate 105 and the reinforced side plate 106. The end side plate 105 protrudes towards the interior of the container 100, and the end side plate 105 does not extend beyond the inner side of the inner corner post 144 of the door end along the width direction of the container 100.
[0073] The cross-sections of the reinforcing members 140 and 150 are U-shaped or Ω-shaped, and they can be welded and fixedly connected to the end side plate 105.
[0074] In one embodiment, as shown in Figures 7 and 8, the reinforcing side plate 106 includes a flat plate portion 161 and a curved portion 163. The flat plate portion 161 is provided with multiple reinforcing ribs 162 arranged along the height direction of the container 100, which can improve the structural strength of the flat plate portion 161 and reduce deformation. The reinforcing ribs 162 protrude toward the interior of the first reinforcing end side plate portion 160, without occupying external space, and thus avoiding affecting the internal or external width of the container 100.
[0075] The curved portion 163 is located on the side of the flat plate portion 161 and is used for fixed connection with the end side plate 105, such as by welding. The cross-section of the reinforcing side plate 106 is grooved, which can absorb the protrusion height of the reinforcing rib 153 and accommodate the reinforcing member, thus preventing the thickness of the first reinforcing end side plate portion 160 from affecting the internal or external width of the container 100. The reinforcing side plate 106 can be formed by stamping a single piece of steel to create the structure of the flat plate portion 161, the reinforcing rib 162, and the curved portion 163.
[0076] In one embodiment, the thickness of the end side plate 105 and the reinforcing side plate 106 is not less than 1.6 mm. When the reinforcing side plate 106 is provided, the thickness of the end side plate 105 can be appropriately reduced.
