Hydraulic fracturing with injection flow rate modulation

Claims

A hydraulic fracturing system with flow rate modulation includes a first electric pumping system electrically coupled to a power source and fluidly coupled to one or more first wells; a second electric pumping system electrically coupled to the power source and fluidly coupled to one or more second wells; and a controller configured to control the first electric pumping system to increase a flow rate of the first electric pumping system and simultaneously control the second electric pumping system to decrease a flow rate of the second electric pumping system such that a combined rate of change of the electrical power demand of the first electric pumping system and the second electric pumping system is less than a stiffness of the power source.
