Claims
A hexagonal mesh network, particularly for use in civil engineering in geotechnical applications, preferably in the field of natural hazard protection, is composed of elongated elements that twist at least one complete turn around adjacent elongated elements in twist zones that define opposite sides of the hexagonal mesh. In each twist zone, the elongated elements twist in a single direction of rotation. All or most of the elongated elements are multi-strand elongated elements, each formed by a plurality of metallic wires.
