Abstract
To minimize, at least within a cell string (40, 41), the power limitation of cell strings (40, 41) of a redox flow battery (1, 42) caused by individual cell stacks (10) with insufficient electrolyte (14a, 14b), and thereby increase the overall power and efficiency of the redox flow battery (1, 42), a redox flow battery (1, 42) is proposed which has a fluid distribution system with piping (44a, 44b) comprising distribution pipes (47) branching off from the supply lines (16a, 15b) and collecting pipes (48) leading into the discharge lines (17a, 17b) in order to supply the electrolytes (14a, 14b) to the cell stacks (10, 101, 102, 103) of the stack levels.
