Abstract

Device (10) for neutralizing and recycling pyrotechnic systems (1), in particular airbags or seatbelt pretensioners of motor vehicles, comprising a sealed housing (2) for the targeted triggering of the systems (1), in which a triggering device (3) for automatic or manual triggering of the systems (1) is provided, with an inlet (4) for introducing the systems (1) into the interior of the housing (2) and with an outlet (5) for removing detonated or triggered systems (1), wherein a conveying means (6) for automated introduction of the systems (1) into the housing (2) is provided at the inlet (4) and the triggering device (3) comprises a laser-based igniter or trigger, in particular for amplifying a microwave pulse, for neutralization.
