Airbag and airbag assembly TECHNICAL FIELD

[0001] The present disclosure relates to a safety device for a vehicle, and more particularly, to an airbag and an airbag assembly including the same. BACKGROUND

[0002] Safety devices, such as airbags, are applied to automobiles to protect occupants. Existing airbags for automobiles include, for example, an airbag disposed in a steering wheel, an airbag disposed in an instrument panel, an air curtain disposed on an inner side wall of a vehicle, and a roof airbag disposed on a roof of a vehicle in order to more rationally utilize a limited space within the automobile. When a vehicle collides or is impacted, a gas generator of an airbag receives a signal transmitted via a wire harness connected to the gas generator, and thus, is blasted. Then, gas generated by the blast inflates a folded airbag of the airbag, the inflated airbag is expanded, and then, extends from a predetermined installation position of the vehicle to a predetermined protection position around an occupant, thereby avoiding injury of the occupant by the impact.

The gas bag 11 has an expanded state and a stowed state, and the gas generator is used to generate gas that enters the gas bag 11 in the stowed state and thereby causes the gas bag 11 to inflate into the expanded state. Specifically, the gas bag 11 shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 is in the expanded state.
