Claims

1. A flush-mount grommet assembly for a cable, wherein said grommet assembly comprising:a main body having an entry point and an exit point, and having an inner peripheral surface defining a hollow space therein for receiving the cable; anda flange integrally coupled to the main body, wherein the flange is having a minimal thickness such that, when installed, the flange lies flush with a mounting surface, thereby providing a low-profile interface that substantially prevents projection of the flange beyond the mounting surface.

The flush-mount grommet assembly according to claim 1, comprising a gripping mechanism configured with the main body, wherein the gripping mechanism is configured to engage and retain the cable passing therethrough, thereby preventing unintended displacement of the cable into a cavity of the mounting surface towards the entry point.

The flush-mount grommet assembly according to claim 1, wherein the main body comprises a plurality of first protrusions disposed on an outer peripheral surface of the main body, each first protrusion extending longitudinally between the entry point and the exit point, wherein the plurality of first protrusions are configured to facilitate press-fit insertion of the main body into the drill hole of the mounting surface.

The flush-mount grommet assembly according to claim 1, comprises one or more secondary bodies attached to the main body, wherein the one or more secondary bodies are configured to facilitate insertion of the grommet assembly into a drill hole of different sizes, provided on the mounting surface.

The flush-mount grommet assembly according to claim 4, wherein each of the one or more secondary bodies comprises a plurality of longitudinal2025287322   24 Dec 2025slots formed in an inner peripheral surface of the secondary body, each slot of the plurality of longitudinal slots extending along a length of the secondary body, wherein the plurality of longitudinal slots engage with corresponding first protrusions provided on the main body, such that the engagement between the slots and the corresponding first protrusions causes increase in an outer dimension of the grommet assembly.

The flush-mount grommet assembly according to claim 5, wherein when the secondary body is press-fit onto the main body, the outer dimension of the resulting assembly is adapted to match and press-fit within the drill hole of increased size, wherein a dimension of the flange is greater than the outer dimension of the resulting assembly.

7. The flush-mount grommet assembly according to claim 4, wherein the secondary body comprises a plurality of secondary protrusions disposed on an outer peripheral surface of the secondary body to facilitate press-fit installation of the assembly with the drill hole of increase size.

The flush-mount grommet assembly according to claim 2, wherein the gripping mechanism is having a locking profile selected at least one of: a flexible pass through locking profile, a petal shaped locking profile, a lip shaped locking profile, a blind hole locking profile, or any other suitable locking profile.

9. The flush-mount grommet assembly according to claim 7, wherein the secondary body comprises a plurality of grooves formed between the outer peripheral surface and the inner peripheral surface of the secondary body, to facilitate reduction in weight of the resulting assembly.

10. The flush-mount grommet assembly according to claim 2, wherein the entry point is configured at a first end of the main body, to receive the cable, and guide the cable into the gripping mechanism.

The flush-mount grommet assembly according to claim 2, wherein the exit point configured at a second end of the main body to allow the cable to exit the flush-mount grommet assembly after passing through the gripping mechanism.2025287322   24 Dec 202512. The flush-mount grommet assembly according to claim 12, comprising a flange integrally coupled to the main body, the flange is having a minimal thickness such that, when installed, the flange lies flush with the mounting surface, thereby providing a low-profile interface that substantially prevents projection of the flange beyond the mounting surface.

The flush-mount grommet assembly according to claim 12, comprising a gripping mechanism configured with the main body, wherein the gripping mechanism is configured to engage and retain the cable passing therethrough, thereby preventing unintended displacement of the cable into a cavity of the mounting surface towards the entry point.

The flush-mount grommet assembly according to claim 12, wherein the main body comprises a plurality of first protrusions disposed on an outer peripheral surface of the main body, each first protrusion extending longitudinally between the entry point and the exit point, wherein the plurality of first protrusions are configured to facilitate press-fit insertion of the main body into the drill hole of the mounting surface.

The flush-mount grommet assembly according to claim 12, wherein each of the one or more secondary bodies comprises a plurality of longitudinal slots formed in an inner peripheral surface of the secondary body, each slot2025287322   24 Dec 2025of the plurality of longitudinal slots extending along a length of the secondary body, wherein the plurality of longitudinal slots engage with corresponding first protrusions provided on the main body, such that the engagement between the slots and the corresponding first protrusions causes increase in the outer dimension of the resultingassembly.

17. The flush-mount grommet assembly according to claim 12, wherein when the secondary body is press-fit onto the main body, the outer dimension of the resulting assembly is adapted to match and press-fit within the drill hole of increased size.

18. The flush-mount grommet assembly according to claim 12, wherein the secondary body comprises a plurality of secondary protrusions disposed on an outer peripheral surface of the secondary body to facilitate press-fit installation of the assembly with the drill hole of increased size.

The flush-mount grommet assembly according to claim 14, wherein the gripping mechanism is having a locking profile selected at least one of: a flexible pass through locking profile, a petal shaped locking profile, a lip shaped locking profile, a blind hole locking profile, or any other suitable locking profile.

20. The flush-mount grommet assembly according to claim 18, wherein the secondary body comprises a plurality of grooves formed between the outer peripheral surface and the inner peripheral surface of the secondary body, to facilitate reduction in weight of the resulting assembly.
