[0045] In the following text, reference will be made to Figures 1 to 10 The embodiments of this disclosure are described in detail.
[0046] Figure 1 This is a diagram illustrating a rear-seat entertainment system (RSE) according to an embodiment of the present disclosure.
[0047] like Figure 1 As shown, four seats—namely, left front (FL) seat 11, right front (FR) seat 12, left rear (RL) seat 13, and right rear (RR) seat 14—are available in vehicle 100. RSE left monitor 17 and RSE right monitor 18, used to provide RSE personalization services, can be mounted opposite RL seat 13 and RR seat 14, respectively.
[0048] RSE provider 19 can perform short-range wireless communication with RSE remote controllers 15 and 16 via antennas provided in the left RSE monitor 17 and right RSE monitor 18, respectively. As examples, short-range wireless communication can be, but is not limited to, one of Bluetooth communication, Wi-Fi communication, radio frequency identification (RFID) communication, or ultra-wideband (UWB) communication.
[0049] RSE provider 19 can measure the strength of the signal received from each RSE remote controller 15 and 16—for example, the Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI)—and can identify the passenger's location—i.e., the location of each RSE remote controller 15 and 16—thereby establishing a personalized RSE connection. In other words, when RSE remote controller 15 is located in RL seat 13, a personalized RSE connection can be automatically established using RSE left monitor 17. When RSE remote controller 16 is located in RR seat 14, a personalized RSE connection can be automatically established using RSE right monitor 18.
[0050] Figure 1The embodiment described illustrates short-range wireless communication between the RSE provider 19 and the RSE remote controllers 15 and 16 via an RSE monitor, but this is only one embodiment. In another embodiment, the RSE provider 19 is wired to the RSE remote controllers 15 and 16. Hereinafter, an example will be described in which the RSE provider 19 and the RSE remote controllers 15 and 16 perform Bluetooth communication via an antenna provided in the RSE monitor.
[0051] Figure 2 This is a diagram illustrating an RSE remote controller according to an embodiment of the present disclosure.
[0052] Reference Figure 2 The RSE remote control 230 can perform short-range wireless communication with the rear seat monitor 220, and the rear seat monitor 220 can be wired to the RSE provider 210.
[0053] As an example, the RSE remote controller 230 can perform Bluetooth communication with the rear seat monitor 220, and the rear seat monitor 220 can connect to the RSE provider 210 via in-vehicle communication.
[0054] Here, vehicle communication may include, but is not limited to, Controller Area Network (CAN) communication, Ethernet communication, Local Interconnect Network (LIN) communication, etc.
[0055] As another implementation, the rear-seat monitor 220 and RSE provider 210 can perform wireless local area network (WLAN) communication, or can be connected via a direct line.
[0056] RSE provider 210 can exchange information with vehicle audio-visual navigation telematics (AVNT) devices (or main unit or dashboard) and other vehicle controllers via in-vehicle communication.
[0057] As an example, the RSE provider 210 can obtain image and sound source information, digital multimedia broadcast (DMB) information, driving information, map information, weather information, point of interest (POI) information, etc. from the AVNT based on the control signals received from the RSE remote controller 230, and can output the obtained information to the rear seat monitor 220.
[0058] The RSE remote controller 230 according to the embodiment may be equipped with various biometric sensors. The RSE remote controller 230 can send biometric sensing information to the RSE provider 210 via the rear seat monitor 220.
[0059] As examples, biometric sensors may include a vascular volumetric sensor—hereinafter referred to as a "PPG sensor"—and an electrocardiogram sensor—hereinafter referred to as an "ECG sensor".
[0060] The PPG sensor can be configured to include: an embedded LCD (or LED) for outputting green light to a photodetector; a photodiode (PD) for detecting green light absorbed into certain parts of the skin and then reflected; and a signal converter for converting the light signal detected by the PD into an electrical signal.
[0061] ECG sensors can use three small electrodes to measure very small currents and can be designed to measure currents on dry skin more accurately through low-impedance contact points.
[0062] As an example, a 100mA high dynamic range (HDR) LED driver can be applied to an ECG sensor. Furthermore, a noise filter for controlling noise components generated by muscle movements other than heartbeat can be applied to an ECG sensor.
[0063] RSE provider 210 can generate healthcare information based on received biometric sensing information and can output the generated healthcare information to rear seat monitor 220.
[0064] Here, healthcare information may include heart rate information, heart rate variability (HRV) information showing changes in the time interval between heartbeats, stress analysis information, blood pressure information, cardiac age information, emotional state information, etc.
[0065] The RSE remote controller 230 can simultaneously sample biometric sensing information received from both the PCG and ECG sensors, and thus provides pulse transit time (PTT) and pulse wave velocity (PWV), each with maximum sensitivity.
[0066] As another implementation, the RSE remote controller 230 may be additionally equipped with a temperature sensor, a blood glucose sensor, a peripheral blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) sensor, etc. In this case, the RSE provider 210 can interact with the RSE remote controller 230 to provide passengers with healthcare information, such as body temperature, blood glucose, or SpO2 information, via the rear seat monitor 220.
[0067] In addition, the RSE remote controller 230 can detect remote control signals based on the user's gestures and can provide the detected remote control signals to the RSE provider 210 via the rear seat monitor 220.
[0068] The RSE provider 210 can control the output screen of the rear seat monitor 220 based on the received remote control signal.
[0069] As an example, a rear-seat passenger can perform control operations on the rear-seat monitor 220. For instance, he or she can use the RSE remote control 230 to move the screen displayed on the rear-seat monitor 220 up / down / left / right, move the indicator displayed on the screen to a specific position, output a screen corresponding to the area where the indicator is displayed, or move the indicator to a specific screen at once.
[0070] The RSE remote control 230 can be equipped with a display—such as a small LCD—to show battery status, communication connection status, etc.
[0071] Figure 3 This is a block diagram illustrating a detailed configuration of a vehicle remote controller according to an embodiment of the present disclosure.
[0072] Reference Figure 3 The vehicle remote controller 310 can be configured to include a sensing module 311, a near-field wireless communication module 314, a display 315, a battery 316, a power terminal 317, a headphone jack 318, and a main processor 319.
[0073] The sensing module 311 may include a first sensing device 312 and a second sensing device 313.
[0074] The vehicle remote control 310 and the rear seat monitor 320 can exchange information via short-range wireless communication modules 314 and 321 respectively provided therein. As an example, each of the short-range wireless communication modules 321 and 314 may be loaded with Bluetooth communication functionality.
[0075] The main processor 319 can monitor the connection status of the short-range wireless communication module 314 and the charging status of the battery 316, and can display the monitoring results on the display 315.
[0076] The vehicle remote control 310 can change its operating mode according to the user's selection. The operating mode may include a measurement mode and a control mode.
[0077] The vehicle remote controller 310 can sample the user's biometric signals in measurement mode. These biometric signals are received via a sensing module 311 provided therein to generate biometric information.
[0078] The vehicle remote control 310 can send the generated biometric information to the RSE provider 210 via the rear seat monitor 320 connected by near-field wireless communication.
[0079] For example, biometric information may include, but is not limited to, heart rate information, blood pressure information, blood flow velocity information, SpO2 information, pressure information, and heart rate information.
[0080] As an implementation, the first sensing device 312 may include an ECG sensor, and the second sensing device 313 may include an ECG sensor and a PPG sensor.
[0081] In another embodiment, the first sensing device 312 may include an ECG sensor and a PPG sensor, and the second sensing device 313 may include an ECG sensor.
[0082] A passenger in the back seat of the vehicle may place one of his or her left fingers on the sensing surface of the first sensing device 312 and one of his or her right fingers on the sensing surface of the second sensing device 313 to identify healthcare information on the rear seat monitor 320.
[0083] The main processor 319 can use the power of the battery 316 to generate AC current of a specific frequency and can provide the AC current to the sensing module 311.
[0084] When a user's two hands come into contact with electrodes provided in the sensing surfaces of the first sensing device 312 and the second sensing device 313, an electrical circuit can be formed through the user's body, as indicated by reference numeral 340. The main processor 319 can monitor the current flowing through the formed circuit and can determine that both of the user's hands are in contact with electrodes provided in the sensing surfaces of the first sensing device 312 and the second sensing device 313.
[0085] Once it is determined that both of the user's hands are in contact with the electrodes, the main processor 319 can enter measurement mode to generate sensing information.
[0086] When the conditions for the main processor 319 to enter the measurement mode are not established, the vehicle remote controller 310 can operate in the control mode.
[0087] In operation mode, the vehicle remote control 310 can control the screen of the rear seat monitor 320 based on the user's gestures detected by the sensing module 311.
[0088] The method for controlling the screen of the rear-seat monitor 320 based on the user's gestures becomes clearer with the accompanying drawings, which will be described below.
[0089] Figure 4 This is a diagram illustrating a method of providing healthcare services using an RSE remote control according to an embodiment of this disclosure.
[0090] Reference Figure 4When the user keeps his or her left finger 420 in contact with the first sensing surface 411 of the RSE remote control 410 and his or her right finger 430 in contact with the second sensing surface 412 of the RSE remote control 410, detailed measurement results related to healthcare can be displayed on the rear seat monitor 440 for a certain period of time.
[0091] Users can check desired healthcare information through specific finger gestures on the first sensing surface 411 and / or the second sensing surface 412 of the RSE remote control 410.
[0092] In addition, users can select the treatment button 440 to obtain detailed treatment information corresponding to the selected healthcare information.
[0093] In addition, users can select the consultant button 450 for detailed measurement results to have online chat or telephone consultations with expert consultants—such as doctors, Korean medicine practitioners, etc.—or book a consultation.
[0094] Figure 5 This is a diagram illustrating a method for moving a cross-sectional area using an RSE remote controller according to an embodiment of the present disclosure.
[0095] Reference Figure 5 As shown by reference numeral 540, when the healthcare menu is enabled on the main screen, the user can activate the seating menu, shown by reference numeral 550, located immediately to the right of the healthcare menu by swiping the first finger 520 from left to right on the first sensing surface 511. Alternatively, the user can move the enabled menu to the menu immediately to the right of the enabled menu by swiping the first finger 520 horizontally from right to left on the first sensing surface 511.
[0096] As an example, when the user's first finger 520 makes a swipe gesture in the horizontal direction to select menu movement, the user's second finger 530 can remain in contact with the second sensing surface 512.
[0097] As another example, when the user's first finger 520 makes a swipe gesture in the horizontal direction to select a menu, the second finger 530 can remain in a state where it does not contact the second sensing surface 512.
[0098] Figure 5 The embodiment illustrates a user making a horizontal finger swipe gesture on the first sensing surface 511 to select a menu, but this is only one embodiment. Another embodiment can be implemented in which the user makes a horizontal swipe gesture on the second sensing surface 512 to select a menu.
[0099] According to the implementation method, the user can adjust the screen of the rear-seat monitor using only one hand in operation mode. In other words, refer to Figure 5 The first finger 520 and the second finger 530 described, as well as the first finger and the second finger described with reference to the following figures, can both be left or right fingers.
[0100] According to another embodiment, the user can use both hands in operation mode to adjust the screen of the rear-seat monitor. In this case, see reference... Figure 2 The first finger described, 520, could be the left finger, while the reference... Figure 5 The second finger 530 described can be a right finger.
[0101] Figure 6 This is a diagram illustrating a method for moving a screen according to an embodiment of the present disclosure.
[0102] Reference Figure 6 As shown by reference numeral 640, when the healthcare menu is enabled on the main screen, the user can move the main screen to the next screen corresponding to the currently enabled healthcare menu—for example, the user selects a screen—as shown by reference numeral 650, by using a gesture of touching the second sensing surface 612 once with the second finger 630.
[0103] As an example, while the user's second finger 630 makes a touch gesture to move the next screen, the first finger 620 can remain in contact with the first sensing surface 611.
[0104] The second sensing surface 612 of the RSE remote control 610 may be equipped with a PPG sensor and an ECG sensor to detect the user's finger touch operation.
[0105] As an example, the second sensing surface 612 can be circular, and the LCD panel, which serves as the photodetector of the PPG sensor, can be disposed inside the circular ECG sensor electrode.
[0106] Figure 7 This is a diagram illustrating a method of moving a selection area and a screen using an RSE remote control according to an embodiment of the present disclosure.
[0107] Reference Figure 7 As shown by reference numeral 740 in the attached figure, cursor 741 can be displayed on the screen of the rear seat monitor. With the healthcare menu enabled, the user can move cursor 741 by sliding a first finger 720 diagonally from left to right on the first sensing surface 711 to enable the seat menu immediately to the right of the healthcare menu, as shown by reference numeral 750.
[0108] Users can activate the menu immediately to the left of the currently active menu by swiping their first finger 720 along a diagonal direction from right to left on the first sensing surface 711.
[0109] As an example, when the user's first finger 720 makes a swiping gesture in the diagonal direction to select a menu, the user's second finger 730 can remain in contact with the second sensing surface 712.
[0110] As another example, when the user's first finger 720 makes a swiping gesture in the diagonal direction to select a menu, the second finger 730 can remain in a state where it does not contact the second sensing surface 712.
[0111] Figure 7 The embodiment illustrates a user making a swipe gesture in a diagonal direction with a first finger 720 to select a menu, but this is only one embodiment. Another embodiment can be implemented in which the user makes a swipe gesture in a diagonal direction with a second finger 730 to select a menu.
[0112] Figure 8 This is a diagram illustrating a method of zooming in / out of a screen using an RSE remote control according to an embodiment of this disclosure.
[0113] Reference Figure 8 As shown by reference numeral 840 in the attached figure, the user can use a first finger 820 on the first sensing surface 811 of the RSE remote control 810 to make a swipe gesture in the horizontal direction from right to left, and at the same time use a second finger 830 on the second sensing surface 812 of the RSE remote control 810 to make a swipe gesture in the horizontal direction from left to right, thereby magnifying the screen of the rear-seat monitor.
[0114] Furthermore, as shown by reference numeral 850 in the attached figure, the user can use a first finger 820 on the first sensing surface 811 of the RSE remote control 810 to make a swipe gesture in the horizontal direction from left to right, and can simultaneously use a second finger 830 on the second sensing surface 812 of the RSE remote control 810 to make a swipe gesture in the horizontal direction from right to left, thereby shrinking the screen of the rear seat monitor.
[0115] Figure 9 This is a diagram illustrating a method for creating a favorites list using an RSE remote control according to an embodiment of this disclosure.
[0116] Reference Figure 9 Users can use their first finger 920 and second finger 930 to simultaneously double-click the first sensing surface 911 and the second sensing surface 912 of the RSE remote control 910, thereby moving the current menu to a predetermined favorites menu.
[0117] According to the implementation, a user can simultaneously tap the first sensing surface 911 and the second sensing surface 912 of the RSE remote control 910 three times using a first finger 920 and a second finger 930, thereby changing the mode. Here, the mode may include a measurement mode and a manipulation mode.
[0118] Figure 10 This is a diagram illustrating a method for detecting a user's gesture using sensor electrodes according to an embodiment of the present disclosure.
[0119] Reference Figure 3 When a user's finger comes into contact with the sensing surface where the electrodes are located, the AC current flowing from the main processor 319 of the RSE remote control 310 can flow again through the user's body within the main processor 319 to form a current loop. The main processor 319 can measure the AC current flowing through the formed current loop to detect that the user has touched the electrodes.
[0120] Electrodes are formed on the sensing surface 1010 provided in the RSE remote controller 310 and can detect impedance changes based on the user's finger touch.
[0121] Reference Figure 10 According to the embodiment, the sensing surface 1010 can be divided into multiple regions. The RSE remote controller 310 can measure the impedance change of each divided electrode region and can recognize finger gestures on the corresponding sensing surface of the user.
[0122] As an example, the sensing surface 1010 is divided into nine regions, as shown in reference numeral 1020, but this is merely one implementation. As another example, the sensing surface 1010 may be divided into regions of more or less than nine. In the following text, for ease of description, these nine regions may be referred to as the first to ninth electrode regions.
[0123] As an example, when the impedance intensity on the sensing surface 1010 changes to a reference value or greater in the order of the fourth electrode region, the fifth electrode region and the sixth electrode region, as shown in reference numeral 1030, the RSE remote controller 310 can detect a swiping gesture in the horizontal direction.
[0124] As another example, when the impedance intensity on the sensing surface 1010 changes to a reference value or greater in the order of the seventh electrode region, the fifth electrode region, and the third electrode region, as shown in reference numeral 1040, the RSE remote controller 310 can detect a swipe gesture in the diagonal direction.
