Sealed storage case with latching closure

Abstract

A storage case includes a container and a lid. The lid includes a base plate, a top plate, a top plate anchor, and a movable latch. The base plate includes an arm that has a left side portion that is taller than a right side portion, and an angled middle portion that angles from left to right. The movable latch includes a protrusion that has a left side portion that is flat, and an angled right side portion that angles and drops from left to right. The movable latch is designed to be positioned between the top plate and the base plate by inserting the horizontal protrusion under the horizontal arm of the base plate, and can be moved from right to left and back.

[0019] The main object of the present invention is to provide a storage box (10) comprising a container (20), a lid (30) and a ring seal (40). The container (20) is designed to hold food or other materials that the user wants to store, and the lid (30) is designed to cover and seal the top opening of the container.

A storage case characterized by: The storage box includes a container designed to hold a plurality of materials, a lid designed to cover and seal a top opening of the container, and a ring seal designed to surround the lid; wherein the container includes the top opening and an inner peripheral shoulder, the lid is designed to be positioned on the inner peripheral shoulder; wherein the lid includes a bottom plate, a top plate, a top plate anchor, and a movable latch; wherein the bottom plate includes a horizontal arm member that protrudes from the bottom plate in a manner that a left side portion of the horizontal arm member has a height greater than a height of a right side portion of the horizontal arm member, and an inclined middle portion of the horizontal arm member is inclined and descending from left to right; wherein the top plate anchor includes a central hole and one or more connectors designed to connect the top plate to the top plate anchor; wherein the top plate anchor is designed to be connected to the top plate by one or more connection means corresponding to the plurality of connectors of the top plate; wherein the movable latch includes a horizontal protrusion that protrudes from the movable latch in a manner that a left side portion of the horizontal protrusion is flat, and an inclined right side portion of the horizontal protrusion is inclined and descending from left to right; wherein a height of a right side portion of the horizontal protrusion is equal to or less than the height of the left side portion of the horizontal arm member; wherein the movable latch is designed to be positioned between the top plate and the bottom plate in a manner that the horizontal protrusion is inserted under the horizontal arm member of the bottom plate, and wherein the movable latch is movable from right to left and backward.
