An adhesive fastening product for use on clothing, comprising: a substrate portion having a first side and an opposite second side; an adhesive layer portion attached to the first side of the substrate portion and uniformly arranged on the first side of the substrate portion, or attached to both the first and second sides of the substrate portion and uniformly arranged on both the first and second sides of the substrate portion; the adhesive layer portion having an inner side and an outer side, the entirety of the inner side adhesively attached to a corresponding side of the substrate portion and the entirety of the outer side exposed for adhesive attachment to the garment; an array of fasteners partially attached to the first side of the substrate portion through the adhesive layer, wherein the adhesive layer portion is in an inactive state that inhibits the entire exposed outer side of the adhesive layer portion from adhering to the garment; and wherein the adhesive layer portion can be activated to an active state such that the entire exposed outer side of the adhesive layer portion can be bonded to the garment, thereby bonding the adhesive fastening product to the garment via the adhesive layer portion.

The method according to claim 9, characterized in that The method further includes dispensing a continuous batch of the adhesive fastening product to form discrete adhesive fastening products, each adhesive fastening product being for use with a garment and comprising: a substrate portion having a first side and an opposite second side; an adhesive layer portion uniformly disposed on a first side of the substrate portion or uniformly disposed on both the first side and the second side of the substrate portion, the entire inner side of the adhesive layer portion adhesively attached to the corresponding side of the substrate portion and the entire outer side of the adhesive layer portion exposed for adhesive attachment to the garment; and an array of fasteners partially attached to the first side of the substrate portion through the adhesive layer, wherein, for each adhesive fastening product, the adhesive layer portion is in an inactive state that inhibits the entire exposed outer side of the adhesive layer portion from adhering to the garment; and For each adhesive fastening product, the adhesive layer portion can be activated to an active state such that the entire exposed outer side of the adhesive layer portion can be bonded to the garment, thereby bonding the adhesive fastening product to the garment via the adhesive layer portion.
