[0038] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present disclosure will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
[0039] (First Embodiment)
[0040] First, for example, as a first embodiment of the present disclosure, Figures 1 to 3 The anemometer 1A shown in FIG. 1 will be described.
[0041] like Figures 1 to 3 As shown in FIG. 1 , the anemometer 1A in the present embodiment schematically includes a support column 2 , a rotating member 3 , a swing arm 4 , a slider 5 , a connecting rod 6 , a wind cup 7 (wind receiver), and a scale 8 .
[0042] The pillar 2 has a cylindrical shape. The pillar 2 has a central axis O (hereinafter referred to as the axis O, and the rotation around the axis O may be simply referred to as "rotation"), and the axis O extends in the vertical direction. For example, in the present embodiment, the pillar 2 includes a base 2d at its lower end. The lower end of the pillar 2 may have a cap shape so that a pencil can be attached to the pillar 2, and the lower end of the pillar 2 may be attached to a pencil available on the market. In the present embodiment, the pillar 2 has a connecting portion 2a at its upper end, and the connecting portion 2a has a shape that can be fitted into the inner ring of the bearing 3a.
[0043] The rotating member 3 is connected to the connecting portion 2a through a bearing 3a. In the present embodiment, the rotating member 3 is fixed to an outer ring of the bearing 3a and is rotatable about an axis O. The bearing 3a may be integrally formed with at least one of the rotating member 3 and the connecting portion 2a.
[0044] The swing arm 4 has a rod shape. The proximal end of the swing arm 4 is pivotally supported by the side surface portion of the rotating member 3, and the swing arm 4 can swing in the vertical direction. Hereinafter, the angle formed by the swing arm 4 and the axis O may also be referred to as a swing angle. The length of the swing arm 4 is adjusted so that when the swing arm 4 swings, the swing arm 4 does not contact the ground or the base 2d.
[0045] The slider 5 is a cylindrical member having an inner diameter so that the slider 5 is fitted to the pillar 2. The slider 5 is guided by the pillar 2, is slidable in the direction of the axis O, and is rotatable around the axis O. For example, in the present embodiment, the slider 5 has an indicator line 5a at its upper end.
[0046] The connecting rod 6 has a rod shape. One end of the connecting rod 6 is pivotally supported by the middle portion of the swing arm 4 so that the other end of the connecting rod 6 can rotate in the vertical direction. The other end of the connecting rod 6 is pivotally supported by the outer surface portion of the sliding member 5 so that the one end of the connecting rod 6 can rotate in the vertical direction. Preferably, the connecting rod 6 has a length in the longitudinal direction that allows the swing arm 4 to swing widely. Further, with respect to the position where one end of the connecting rod 6 is pivotally supported by the swing arm 4, because the change in the swing angle is sufficient to be converted into the displacement of the sliding member 5, the position can be located on the distal side relative to the proximal end, except for the proximal end of the swing arm 4.
[0047] The wind cup 7 is provided at the distal end of the swing arm 4. The position and angle of the wind cup 7 relative to the axis O are set so that when the wind cup 7 receives wind in the horizontal direction from the front side, a torque for rotating the rotating member 3 in a predetermined direction is generated. When the wind cup 7 receives wind in the horizontal direction from the front side, the torque is the outer product of the position vector indicating the position of the wind cup 7 from the axis O in the radial direction and the resistance vector facing the rear side of the wind cup 7. Specifically, the position and angle of the wind cup 7 relative to the axis O are set so that a torque is generated even if the swing arm 4 is vertically suspended without rotating. Therefore, the static swing arm 4 can start its rotation by the wind. For this purpose, first, the wind cup 7 is set to be a small distance away from the axis O in the radial direction. For example, in the present embodiment, the proximal end of the swing arm 4 is pivotally supported on the rotating member 3 at a position a small distance away from the axis O in the radial direction, and therefore, when the wind cup 7 does not rotate, the position of the wind cup 7 relative to the axis O is adjusted. Due to the small distance mentioned above, the size of the position vector can be prevented from becoming extremely small. Secondly, the wind cup 7 is oriented in a substantially circumferential direction relative to the axis O. For example, in the present embodiment, the direction of the wind cup 7 is adjusted by setting the angle at which the wind cup 7 is mounted on the distal end of the swing arm 4. Due to this adjustment, the drag vector is increased, and at the same time, the sine of the angle between the drag vector and the position vector increases.
[0048] Further, the direction of the wind cup 7 is preferably perpendicular to the swing plane of the swing arm 4 connected to the wind cup 7. With this configuration, the resistance generated by the wind acting on the wind cup 7 does not directly cause the swing arm 4 connected to the wind cup 7 to swing, but causes the swing arm 4 to rotate. Therefore, the swing arm 4 has a swing angle corresponding to the rotation speed. Further, regardless of the swing angle, the wind cup 7 is oriented in a substantially circumferential direction relative to the axis O.
[0049] The scale 8 is a scale for indicating wind speed and is printed on the side surface portion of the pillar 2. The scale 8 is formed to correspond to the actual measured value of the wind speed so that the position of the indicator line 5a in the axis O direction indicates the wind speed.
[0050] As described above, the other two similar swing arms 4 connected to the slider 5 through the link 6 are respectively connected to the rotating member 3 in substantially the same manner as the above-mentioned swing arms 4. The three swing arms 4 are respectively arranged in three-fold symmetry with respect to the axis O. With this configuration, each of the entire cups 7 has a position and an angle with respect to the axis O so that when the cups 7 receive wind in the horizontal direction from the front side, a torque that rotates the rotating member 3 in a predetermined direction is generated.
[0051] The anemometer 1A according to the present embodiment has the above-mentioned configuration. The operation mode of the anemometer 1A is described below. When the swing arm 4 does not rotate, the swing arm 4 does not receive the centrifugal force, and therefore, the swing arm 4 hangs along the pillar 2. When the wind cup 7 receives the wind in the horizontal direction, the swing arm 4 starts to rotate integrally with the rotating member 3, the connecting rod 6, and the sliding member 5. The swing arm 4 rotates at a rotation speed corresponding to the wind speed, receives the centrifugal force corresponding to the rotation speed, and has a swing angle corresponding to the centrifugal force. The sliding member 5 is connected to the swing arm 4 by the connecting rod 6, and therefore, the sliding member 5 slides along the pillar 2 corresponding to the swing angle. The wind speed is visually identified by the position of the indicator line 5a on the scale 8.
[0052] Here, as a first comparative example, a conventional anemometer is considered, in which the rotation speed is estimated by a centrifugal weight mechanism additionally provided on a rotating shaft rotated by a windmill mechanism, and the wind speed is indicated accordingly. In the anemometer of this comparative example, as a component element of the windmill mechanism, a plurality of arms each extending radially and having a wind receiver are fixed to the rotating shaft. Further, the centrifugal weight mechanism has a large width in the rotation direction of the shaft. Therefore, the anemometer of this comparative example has an overall configuration in which the component elements extend at least in two-dimensional directions.
[0053] On the other hand, in the present embodiment, the rotating member 3 and the swing arm 4 pivotally supported by the rotating member 3 also serve as the windmill mechanism and the centrifugal weight mechanism of the anemometer in the comparative example. Therefore, when the swing arm 4 does not rotate, the swing arm 4 hangs along the support 2, and therefore, the portion serving as the windmill mechanism can be reduced. Further, the connecting rod 6, the slide 5, and the scale 8 attached to the support 2 are arranged along the axis O, respectively.
[0054] With this arrangement, the entire arrangement of the anemometer in this embodiment is reduced along the axis O when the cup 7 does not rotate.
[0055] Specifically, according to the configuration of the present embodiment, there is no need to additionally set a mechanism only for reducing the overall configuration of the anemometer, and the anemometer is composed of only the necessary minimum mechanism. Needless to say, all the mechanisms are combined in an integrated manner, and therefore, the present embodiment successfully creates a mechanism in which the overall configuration of the anemometer can be reduced along the axis O.
[0056] Furthermore, compared with the anemometer of the comparative example, the anemometer 1A in the present embodiment has fewer components due to the dual use of the above-mentioned mechanism. Therefore, the mechanism is simplified, the manufacturing cost is reduced, and at the same time, the turbulence of the wind flow generated by the component members can be suppressed.
[0057] Further, as a second comparative example, a conventional anemometer including a windmill mechanism is considered. In a conventional anemometer, the proximal end of an arm having a wind receiver, i.e., a component of the windmill mechanism, is pivotally supported by a rotating shaft, and the arm having the wind receiver can be folded in the direction of the rotating shaft. According to the anemometer of this comparative example, when the anemometer is not used, the arms each having a wind receiver can be folded along the rotating shaft, and therefore, the windmill mechanism portion can be reduced. However, in the anemometer of this comparative example, when the anemometer is started to be used, it is necessary to perform an operation of raising the arms each having a wind receiver in a radial direction along the direction of the rotating shaft from a folded state and locking the arms in a raised state. Further, it is necessary to provide a mechanism that can raise the arms each having a wind receiver in a radial direction, can lock the arms, and can release the locking of the arms.
[0058] On the other hand, in the present embodiment, the swing angle is naturally formed by the wind speed, and therefore, there is no need to set the swing angle by operation.
[0059] Therefore, in the anemometer 1A of the present embodiment, although the swing arm 4 has a folding mechanism, when the anemometer 1A starts to be used, it is not necessary to perform an operation of raising the swing arm 4 in the radial direction and locking the swing arm 4. Further, it is not necessary to provide a mechanism capable of raising the arm 4 in the radial direction, capable of locking the arm 4 in a raised state, and capable of releasing such locking of the arm 4.
[0060] (Second Embodiment)
[0061] Next, for example, as a second embodiment of the present disclosure, a Figures 4 to 5 In the following description, description of parts substantially equivalent to corresponding parts of the above-mentioned anemometer 1A is omitted, and in the drawings, these parts are given the same symbols.
[0062] The anemometer 1B according to the present embodiment is different from the anemometer 1A according to the first embodiment mainly in the following points. That is, in the anemometer 1A according to the first embodiment, instead of the support column 2 having the connection portion 2a at its upper end and having the side surface portion to which the scale 8 is attached, the anemometer 1B according to the present embodiment includes: a cover 2c; and a seal 9 printed with the scale 8, which allows the scale 8 to be attached to a commercially available pencil 22 (writing tool) when the pencil 22 is attached to the cover 2c from below. Other configurations than the configuration described below are substantially equivalent to the corresponding configurations in the first embodiment.
[0063] like Figures 4 to 5 As shown in FIG. 1 , the anemometer 1B in the present embodiment schematically includes a cover 2 c , a rotating member 31 , a swing arm 4 , a slider 5 , a connecting rod 61 , a wind cup 7 (wind receiver), a seal 9 , and a scale 8 .
[0064] The cover 2c is a cover-shaped member in which the end of the pencil 22 is detachably mounted. The open end of the cover 2c is downward, and the central axis O (hereinafter referred to as the axis O) of the cover 2c extends in the vertical direction. In the case where a commercially available pencil 22 is mounted in the cover 2c, it is preferred that the cover 2c performs the function of the support 2 in the first embodiment, and it is preferred that the cover 2c is longer than the swing arm 4 so that the user can use the anemometer 1B by holding the lower part of the pencil 22 with his / her hand.
[0065] The rotating member 31 is an annular member fitted to the cover 2c from the outside, and the rotating member 31 is connected to the cover 2c through the bearing 3a. The inner ring of the bearing 3a is fixed to the cover 2c, the outer ring of the bearing 3a is fixed to the rotating member 31, and the rotating member 31 is rotatable around the axis O. When the pencil 22 is installed in the cover 2c, the central axis of the pencil 22 and the rotation axis of the bearing 3a are respectively consistent with the axis O.
[0066] The slider 5 is a cylindrical member having an inner diameter that allows the slider 5 to fit onto the pencil 22 that can be installed in the cover 2c. In this embodiment, it is preferred that the rotating member 31 is connected to the lower portion of the cover 2c so that the cover 2c does not hinder the sliding of the slider 5.
[0067] In the present embodiment, the connecting rod 61 may be a deformable member and a thin wire. One end of the connecting rod 61 is connected to the middle portion of the swing arm 4, and the other end of the connecting rod 61 is connected to the outer surface portion of the sliding member 5. It is preferred that the connecting rod 61 has a length that allows the swing arm 4 to swing in a wider range. Further, with respect to the position where one end of the connecting rod 61 is connected to the swing arm 4, it is sufficient to convert the change in the swing angle into the displacement of the sliding member 5. Therefore, it is sufficient that the position is located on the distal side other than the proximal end relative to the proximal end of the swing arm 4.
[0068] Another similar swing arm 4 connected to the slider 5 via a connecting rod 61 is connected to the rotating member 31 in substantially the same manner as the above-mentioned swing arm 4. The two swing arms 4 are arranged symmetrically with respect to the axis O.
[0069] The seal 9 is a thin seal that can be printed on the front surface and formed with an adhesive surface on the rear surface. The scale 8 is printed on the front surface of the seal 9. The adhesive surface of the seal 9 can be bonded to the side surface portion of the pencil 22 so that when the pencil 22 is installed in the cover 2c, the indication line 5a of the slider 5 that slides along the pencil 22 indicates the wind speed. Therefore, in such a manner that the position of the indication line 5a in the direction of the axis O when the wind cup 7 is not rotated and the zero point of the wind speed on the scale 8 are aligned with each other and the value of the scale 8 increases in the upward direction, when the pencil 22 is installed in the cover 2c, the seal 9 is bonded to the side surface portion of the pencil 22. In a state where the upper end of the seal 9 is aligned with the lower end of the cover 2c, the seal 9 can be formed in a position where the seal 9 is bonded to the pencil 22 that can be determined by bonding the seal 9 to the side surface portion of the pencil 22 when the pencil 22 is installed in the cover 2c.
[0070] The anemometer 1B in this embodiment has substantially the same structure as the anemometer 1A in the first embodiment by installing a commercially available pencil 22 in the cover 2c and by bonding a seal 9 to the side surface portion of the pencil 22 so that the value of the scale 8 designated by the indication line 5a indicates the wind speed. Therefore, the anemometer 1B in this embodiment functions in the same manner as the anemometer 1A.
[0071] Hereinafter, a complex body composed of the cover, the rotating member, the swing arm, the slider, the connecting rod, and the wind cup (excluding the pencil 22, the seal 9, and the scale 8) may be referred to as a "main body portion".
[0072] With this configuration, the anemometer 1B can obtain substantially the same advantageous effects as those of the anemometer 1A in the first embodiment.
[0073] Further, the anemometer 1B in the present embodiment has a configuration in which the pillar 2, which is the longest component in the anemometer 1A of the first embodiment, is replaced by a cover 2c and a commercially available pencil 22, wherein when the pencil 22 is installed in the cover 2c, the seal 9 is bonded to the side surface portion of the pencil 22. With this configuration, the user can remove the pencil 22 from the cover 2c and can store the pencil 22 in a storage place for his / her writing tools. Therefore, the main body portion of the anemometer 1B can be made smaller in size and lighter in weight than the anemometer 1A in the first embodiment, and can be stored in a different place.
[0074] Further, according to the anemometer 1B of the present embodiment, compared with the case where the anemometer is manufactured using the configuration of the first embodiment, the manufacturing cost can be reduced because it is replaced by the above-mentioned pencil 22 .
[0075] Still further, the anemometer 1B of the present embodiment is formed into a small-sized shape matching the pencil 22, and therefore, the anemometer 1B can be used as an accessory. In this case, the anemometer 1B does not need to have high accuracy as a measuring instrument.
[0076] (Third Embodiment)
[0077] Next, as a third embodiment of the present disclosure, for example, Figure 6 In the following description, description of parts substantially equivalent to corresponding parts of the anemometer 1A mentioned above is omitted, and in the drawings, these parts are given the same symbols.
[0078] The anemometer 1C in this embodiment differs from the anemometer 1A in the first embodiment mainly in the following points. In the anemometer 1C, the cup is provided at one end of the connecting rod instead of being mounted on the distal end of the swing arm, and one end of the connecting rod is connected to the distal end of the swing arm instead of being connected to the middle portion of the swing arm. The other configurations than those described below are substantially equivalent to the corresponding configurations in the first embodiment.
[0079] like Figure 6 As shown in FIG. 1 , the anemometer 1C in the present embodiment schematically includes a support column 21 , a rotating member 32 , a swing arm 4 , a slider 51 , a connecting rod 6 , a wind cup 7 (wind receiver), and a scale 8 .
[0080] The outer contour of the pillar 21 has a cylindrical shape. The central axis O (hereinafter referred to as axis O) of the pillar 21 extends in the vertical direction. For example, in the present embodiment, the pillar 21 has a cover shape 2e, in which the pencil 22 is detachably mounted in the pillar 21 from the lower end of the pillar 21. The pillar 21 can be mounted on a pencil 22 available on the market. In the present embodiment, the inner ring of the bearing (not shown in the drawings) has an inner diameter that allows the bearing to be fitted onto the pillar 21 from the outside. The connecting portion 2b is a portion where the inner ring of the bearing is fixed on the upper side of the pillar 21.
[0081] The rotating member 32 is an annular member externally fitted to the support column 21. The inner ring of the bearing is fixed to the connection portion 2b, and the outer ring of the bearing is fixed to the inner side surface portion of the rotating member 32, and the rotating member 32 is rotatable around the axis O.
[0082] The slider 51 is an annular member having an inner diameter that allows the slider 51 to be fitted onto the support column 21 from the outside. The slider 51 is guided by the support column 21, is slidable in the direction of the axis O, and is rotatable around the axis O.
[0083] One end of the link 6 is pivotally supported by the distal end of the swing arm 4 so that the other end of the link 6 can rotate in the vertical direction, and the other end of the link 6 is pivotally supported by the outer side of the slide 51 so that the one end of the link 6 can rotate in the vertical direction.
[0084] The wind cup 7 is provided at one end of the connecting rod 6. The wind cup 7 may be pivotally provided on a shaft located at one end of the connecting rod 6. In the present embodiment, one end of the connecting rod 6 is pivotally supported by the distal end portion of the swing arm 4, and therefore, the wind cup 7 is positioned at the distal end portion of the swing arm 4 and rotates integrally with the swing arm 4. Therefore, the position and angle of the wind cup 7 relative to the axis O can be set in the same manner as in the first embodiment.
[0085] The scale 8 is formed to correspond to the actual measured value of the wind speed so that the position of the slide 51 in the direction of the axis O indicates the wind speed.
[0086] The anemometer 1C in this embodiment is used in a state where a user installs a commercially available pencil 22 into the support 21 from below and the user uses the anemometer 1C by holding the pencil 22 with his / her hand. Although one end of the link 6 is pivotally supported by the distal end of the swing arm 4 instead of being pivotally supported by the middle portion of the swing arm 4, the anemometer 1C in this embodiment has substantially the same outer profile as the anemometer in the first embodiment. Therefore, the anemometer 1C functions in the same manner as the anemometer 1A.
[0087] With this configuration, the anemometer 1C can obtain substantially the same advantageous effects as those of the anemometer 1A in the first embodiment.
[0088] (Fourth Embodiment)
[0089] Next, as a fourth embodiment of the present disclosure, for example, Figure 7 In the following description, description of parts substantially equivalent to corresponding parts of the anemometer 1B mentioned above is omitted, and in the drawings, these parts are given the same symbols.
[0090] The anemometer 1D in this embodiment is different from the anemometer 1B in the second embodiment mainly in the following points. Instead of the distal end of the swing arm, the wind cup is provided on the distal end of the connecting rod, and instead of being connected to the middle part of the swing arm, one end of the connecting rod is connected to the distal end of the swing arm. The other configurations than those described below are substantially equivalent to the corresponding configurations in the second embodiment.
[0091] like Figure 7 As shown in FIG. 1 , the anemometer 1D in the present embodiment schematically includes a cover 2 c , a rotating member 31 , a swing arm 41 , a slider 52 , a connecting rod 6 , a wind cup 7 (wind receiver), a seal 9 , and a scale 8 .
[0092] In the present embodiment, the swing arm 41 may be a deformable member and a thin wire. The proximal end of the swing arm 41 is connected to the outer surface portion of the rotating member 31 .
[0093] The slider 52 is a cylindrical member having an inner diameter that allows the slider 52 to be fitted from the outside to the pencil 22 (writing tool) that can be mounted on the cover 2c. The slider 52 is made of a material having light transmittance. When the pencil 22 is mounted in the cover 2c, the slider 52 is guided by the pencil 22, is slidable in the direction of the axis O, and is rotatable around the axis O. For example, in the present embodiment, the slider 52 has an indication line 5a in the middle portion, and the indication line 5a indicates the value of the scale 8 observed in a perspective manner.
[0094] The link 6 has a rod shape. One end of the link 6 is connected to a distal end portion of the swing arm 41, and the other end of the link 6 is pivotally supported by an outer side surface portion of the slider 52 so that the link 6 can rotate in the vertical direction.
[0095] The anemometer 1D in this embodiment has substantially the same structure as the anemometer 1C in the third embodiment by installing a commercially available pencil 22 in the cover 2c and by bonding a seal 9 to the side surface portion of the pencil 22 so that the value of the scale 8 designated by the indication line 5a indicates the wind speed. Therefore, the anemometer 1D in this embodiment functions in the same manner as the anemometer 1C.
[0096] With this configuration, the anemometer 1D can obtain substantially the same advantageous effects as those of the anemometer 1A in the first embodiment and the anemometer 1B in the second embodiment.
[0097] The present disclosure is not limited to the above-mentioned embodiments, and includes modifications within the scope of achieving the object of the present disclosure. Further, the above-mentioned configurations can be appropriately combined with each other within the scope that does not conflict with each other.
[0098] For example, in the embodiment, the description has been made for an example in which the movable part located at the corresponding part moves freely. However, by replacing the bearing with a bearing having a rotational resistance, the increase in rotation speed can be suppressed. Further, it can be configured to suppress the increase in the swing angle by causing at least one of the sliding member, the swing arm, and the connecting rod to receive the elastic force of the elastic body. With this configuration, the increase in the swing angle is suppressed by the elastic force rather than the gravity. Therefore, the anemometer can be an anemometer that can be used even when the angle or direction of the axis O is set to a state different from those in the embodiment.
[0099] In the embodiments, description has been made for an example in which the number of swing arms is set to two or three. However, the number of swing arms is not limited to two or three. That is, it is preferred that the number of swing arms is two or more. Further, some swing arms may have a connecting rod-free configuration. Still further, in the embodiments, description has been made for an example in which the wind receiver is a cup-type wind receiver. However, the wind receiver may have other shapes for a vertical windmill.
[0100] In the embodiment, the description has been made for an example in which one end of the connecting rod is connected to a fixed position of the swing arm. However, one end of the connecting rod may be connected to any one of the plurality of parts of the swing arm in a switchable manner in the longitudinal direction. In this case, the scale corresponding to the corresponding switchable connecting portion is formed parallel to the connecting portion, or the scale is attached by changing the attachment position.
[0101] Further, in the embodiment, description has been made on an example in which the constituent elements are connected to each other by pivot support using a shaft. However, the constituent elements may be connected to each other using a deformable member.
[0102] Still further, in the embodiment, the example in which the size of the above-mentioned position vector is adjusted by the position of the proximal end of the swing arm pivotally supported by the rotating member has been described. However, the method of adjusting the size of the position vector is not limited to this method. For example, the size of the position vector may be adjusted so that the swing angle is not a zero angle even if the movable range of the swing angle is limited so that the swing arm does not rotate.
[0103] Further, there have been some embodiments described for examples where a commercially available pencil is mounted on an anemometer. However, in these embodiments, typically, a writing implement may be mounted on the anemometer. Alternatively, the anemometer may be mounted on a writing implement. In this case, a scale may be applied to the writing implement.
[0104] In the second and fourth embodiments, the anemometer 1B and the anemometer 1D can be used as teaching material in such a way that, instead of a scale printed on a seal, an incomplete scale is used in which some or all of the scale lines and numerical values indicating the wind speed are not printed, and the user can supplement the incomplete scale portion based on actual measurements.
[0105] Further, the anemometer in the embodiment has been described for an example in which the anemometer is used to measure wind speed. However, generally, the anemometer in the embodiment can be used to measure the flow speed of a fluid.
