Abstract

This application discloses a method, apparatus, electronic device, and storage medium for color recognition of an object, belonging to the field of image processing technology. In this method, after locating the image region corresponding to the target object in the image to be processed, the pixels in the image region are converted to a specified color space to obtain the color component information of the pixels in the specified color space. This color component information includes at least a hue value. Hue recognition is performed based on the hue values ​​of the pixels in the image region to obtain the hue of the target object. Based on the color component information of the pixels in the image region belonging to that hue, the color of the target object is identified. Since the hue value of the target object is less affected by conditions such as lighting and exposure, the hue of the target object can be accurately identified regardless of whether the lighting in the image to be processed is sufficient or whether there is a color cast. Based on the color component information of the pixels in the image region corresponding to the target object that belong to that hue, the color of the target object can also be accurately identified.
