Claims
1. A base assembly comprising a base, a gasket and a cover, characterized in that: The base has a fixing portion fixed to the vehicle body and a mounting portion on which a visual confirmation component is mounted. The pad is mounted on the fixing portion and is interposed between the fixing portion and the vehicle body. The cover is mounted on the lower portion of the fixing portion and the lower portion of the mounting portion, and covers the lower portion of the fixing portion and the lower portion of the mounting portion. The fixing portion is provided with a rib, which abuts against the gasket, causing the gasket to contact the vehicle body and thereby sealing the gap between the gasket and the vehicle body. The lower portion of the fixing portion, the lower portion of the pad, and the lower portion of the cover are respectively provided with lower edge portions facing each other. The rib has at least a lower rib corresponding to the lower edge of the fixing portion. An upper drain port and a lower drain port are provided at a position above the lower rib in the fixing portion. The upper drain port allows water in the first space surrounded by the base, the gasket, and the cover to flow down into the second space surrounded by the fixing portion and the gasket. The lower drain port allows water in the second space to flow down into a third space surrounded by the base, the pad, and the cover and located below the first space. A final drain port for allowing water in the third space to flow outward from the vehicle body is provided in a portion of the pad below the lower rib.
2. The base assembly according to claim 1, wherein: A portion of the gasket surrounding the second space is inclined from the upper drain outlet to the lower drain outlet.
3. The base assembly according to claim 1, wherein: A width between the base and the cover surrounding the third space is larger than a width between the base and the gasket facing each other via the lower rib.
4. The base assembly according to claim 1, wherein: A lip portion that comes into contact with the vehicle body is provided at a front end of the lower edge portion of the pad, and the final drain port is provided on the lip portion.
5. The base assembly according to claim 1, wherein: An intervening member is provided at a portion of the pad that contacts the vehicle body via the rib.
6. A peripheral vision confirmation device for a vehicle, characterized in that: have: The base assembly of claim 1 fixed to a vehicle body; and A visual confirmation assembly is mounted on the base assembly.
