Research indicates that the main active ingredients in Mahonia japonica, Lilium brownii, and Gardenia jasminoides are alkaloids; the main active ingredients in Ganoderma lucidum and Ziziphus jujuba are polysaccharides; and the main active ingredients in Cinnamomum cassia, Eriobotrya japonica, and Acorus calamus are flavonoids. The original method of using this prescription was the traditional water extraction method, which involves decocting the herbs in water. This method is insufficient to extract alcohol-soluble alkaloids and other alkaloid-like active ingredients, hindering the maximization of the medicinal effects and inevitably wasting medicinal resources. To find the optimal extraction method, the invention team used the content of alkaloids, polysaccharides, and flavonoids in the extract as evaluation indicators. Through experiments, they compared five different extraction processes: water extraction, alcohol extraction, alcohol-water dual extraction, enzymatic hydrolysis, and enzymatic hydrolysis-water decoction, ultimately selecting the optimal extraction process.
