Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] The invention relates to a busbar assembly, which comprises an inverter busbar structure integrating an electromagnetic wave reduction core and a fuse. Background Art
[0002] With the recent increase in environmental concerns, the number of environmentally friendly vehicles provided with electric motors as power sources is increasing. Environmentally friendly vehicles are also called electrified vehicles, and common examples are electric vehicles (EVs) and hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs). Electrified vehicles can be driven by driving force received from a high-power motor, and a high-voltage battery and an inverter can be provided to drive the motor.
[0003] The inverter of the electrified vehicle converts direct current (DC) received from the high-voltage battery into alternating current (AC) and supplies the AC to the motor. Since the high-voltage battery and the inverter are physically separated from each other, the battery and the inverter can be electrically connected through a connection device such as a busbar.
[0004] In this case, noise may be introduced into the inverter depending on the structure of the current flow path, and the introduced noise may be distorted or amplified by switching operations in the inverter, etc. This noise may affect the electromagnetic performance of the vehicle. With the accelerated proliferation of electrified vehicles and the strengthening of electromagnetic wave regulations in recent years, there is an increasing need to implement a configuration for reducing electromagnetic waves inside the vehicle.
[0005] On the other hand, in order to interrupt the flow of current in certain situations, high-voltage fuses can be set in the high-voltage battery and junction box of the electrified vehicle. When an excessive current is suddenly generated due to a vehicle failure or accident, the high-voltage fuse can prevent vehicle damage caused by fire, etc. by physically disconnecting the busbar carrying the current. As high-voltage batteries with higher voltages have been applied to enhance the performance of electrified vehicles in recent years, there is also an increasing need to install fuses in the inverter so that even if excessive current is applied to the inverter and motor system, it can prevent burning before the fuse in the high-voltage battery is activated.
[0006] The information included in this Background section of the present invention is only intended to enhance understanding of the general background of the present invention and should not be taken as an acknowledgement or any form of suggestion that this information constitutes prior art known to those skilled in the art. Summary of the invention
[0007] Various aspects of the present invention are directed to providing a bus bar assembly which eliminates space limitations through a bus bar including an integrated structure of an electromagnetic wave reducing device and a fuse, so that the electromagnetic wave reducing device and the fuse can be installed in an inverter.

[0009] A busbar assembly according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention for achieving the above-mentioned purpose includes a first busbar, a second busbar, an arc blocking portion, a magnetic core and a shell, wherein the first busbar corresponds to a first pole and extends along a first direction, and the first busbar includes a narrowed portion with a reduced cross-sectional area between the ends of the first busbar along the first direction; the second busbar corresponds to a second pole and extends along the first direction, and the second busbar is separated from the first busbar along a second direction intersecting the first direction; the arc blocking portion is arranged to surround a portion of the first busbar and a portion of the second busbar to at least surround the narrowed portion; the magnetic core is arranged outside the arc blocking portion to surround corresponding predetermined portions of the first busbar and the second busbar; the shell accommodates corresponding portions of the first busbar and the second busbar, the arc blocking portion and the magnetic core.
[0010] For example, a first space and a second space may be set inside the shell, and the corresponding parts of the first busbar and the second busbar and the arc blocking part are arranged in the first space; the second space is set outside the first space for arranging the magnetic core therein, and is separated from the first space.
[0011] For example, the shell includes open ends spaced apart from each other along a first direction, and a partition wall having a smaller outer circumference than the shell can be arranged inside the shell, wherein the first space can be formed inside the partition wall, and the second space can be formed between the partition wall and the shell.
[0012] For example, the shell may include an outer shell and a cover, the outer shell including an internal space and a side portion, the internal space being integrally formed by a closed end portion, and the side portion extending from the closed end portion along a first direction; the cover is joined to the outer shell to close another end portion separated from the closed end portion along the first direction, wherein a plurality of through holes for allowing the first busbar and the second busbar to pass along the first direction may be provided at the closed end portion and the cover of the outer shell.
[0013] For example, the cross-sectional area of each of the plurality of through holes may correspond to the cross-sectional area of the first bus bar or the second bus bar.
[0014] For example, the narrowed portion may have perforations formed at a plurality of points between the ends of the first generatrix in a third direction intersecting the first direction and the second direction.
[0015] For example, the narrowed portion may include perforations formed along the third direction and repeated along the second direction.
[0016] For example, the narrowed portion may include perforations that are repeated at locations on the first generatrix that are spaced apart along the first direction.
[0017] For example, the narrowed portion may have a thickness reduced in the third direction compared with the end portions of the first bus bar, and include a step difference between the end portions of the first bus bar.
[0018] For example, the first bus bar and the second bus bar may be arranged between a battery provided in a vehicle and an inverter that converts DC power of the battery into AC power.
[0019] According to various embodiments of the present invention as described above, the electromagnetic wave reduction core and the fuse may be mounted through a bus bar structure integrating the electromagnetic wave reduction core and the fuse.
[0020] Furthermore, by reducing the total volume of the electromagnetic wave reduction core and the fuse, compared with when the electromagnetic wave reduction core and the fuse are installed separately, it is possible to save space, provide a structure that is easily applicable to an inverter, and improve space utilization.
[0021] Furthermore, integrating the individual components can reduce costs.

[0040] According to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, a busbar assembly is implemented by integrating an electromagnetic wave reduction core and a fuse with a busbar, thereby reducing the overall volume and cost, improving space utilization, and being easily applied to various devices.
[0041] Reference Figure 1 , Figure 2 and Figure 3 A bus bar assembly according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention is described in detail.
[0042] Figure 1 Schematic diagram exemplarily showing a disassembled busbar assembly according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, Figure 2 Schematic diagram for exemplarily illustrating an assembled busbar assembly according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, Figure 3 To illustrate the example of Figure 2Schematic diagram of a cross section of a busbar assembly represented by line AA' in FIG. Figure 4 and Figure 5 Schematic diagram exemplarily showing a disassembled busbar assembly according to other embodiments of the present invention.
[0043] Figure 1 , Figure 2 , Figure 3 , Figure 4 and Figure 5 It is shown that the busbar assembly according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention may include a first busbar 100, a second busbar 200, an arc blocking portion 300, a magnetic core 400, and a housing 500. However, Figure 1 Components related to the description of the exemplary embodiment of the present invention are mainly shown, and an actual busbar assembly may include more or less components than the busbar assembly shown. Each component will be described in detail below.
[0044] First, the first busbar 100 corresponds to the first pole and extends in the first direction, and the first busbar 100 may include a narrowed portion 110 having a reduced cross-sectional area in the first direction between the ends. The second busbar 200 corresponds to the second pole and extends in the first direction, and the second busbar 200 is spaced apart from the first busbar 100 in a second direction intersecting the first direction.
[0045] Here, the first pole and the second pole may be an anode and a cathode, respectively, and may correspond to ends of a high voltage battery provided in a vehicle. In addition, the first bus bar 100 and the second bus bar 200 may be arranged in parallel with each other.
[0046] The first bus bar 100 includes a narrowed portion 110 between ends along a first direction, and the narrowed portion 110 has a reduced cross-sectional area along the first direction compared to other portions of the first bus bar 100 .
[0047] The narrowed portion 110 may have a reduced cross-sectional area along the first direction due to the perforations formed along the third direction at a plurality of positions between the ends of the first busbar 100. In addition, the narrowed portion 110 may include perforations formed along the third direction and repeated along the second direction, and the perforations may also be repeated at positions on the first busbar 100 spaced apart from each other along the first direction.
[0048] For example, Figure 1 As shown, the narrowed portion 110 may include a perforation 120 formed along the third direction and repeated along the second direction, and the repeated perforations 120 may be arranged in two rows spaced apart from each other along the first direction. In addition, the perforation 120 may be formed singly or in plurality.
[0049] The number of rows of repeated perforations 120 is not limited to two rows, and thus the number of rows of repeated perforations 120 includes a single row and equal to or greater than two rows.
[0050] The exemplary embodiment of the present invention may further include at least one groove 130 located at a side of the narrowing portion 110 in the second direction. In addition, if the groove 130 is plural, the plurality of grooves 130 are formed in the first direction.
[0051] In addition, in an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the narrowed portion 110 may be formed of the perforation 120 , the groove 130 , or a combination of the perforation 120 and the groove 130 .
[0052] On the contrary, another exemplary embodiment of the present invention is shown. Figure 4 It is shown that the narrowed portion 110 can be implemented as a slit 140 in which the perforations formed along the third direction are repeated along the second direction, but the perforations are elongated along the first direction instead of being elongated as in the embodiment of FIG. Figure 1 The slits 140 are arranged in two rows. In addition, the slits 140 may be formed in a single or multiple form. In addition, the elongated direction of the slits 140 is not limited to the first direction, but may be formed along the second direction.
[0053] The number of rows of the repeated slits 140 is not limited to two rows, and thus the number of rows of the repeated slits 140 includes a single row and equal to or greater than two rows.
[0054] The exemplary embodiment of the present invention may further include at least one groove 130 in the second direction. In addition, if the groove 130 is plural, the plurality of grooves 130 are formed along the first direction.
[0055] In addition, in the exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the narrowed portion 110 may be formed of the slit 140 , the groove 130 , or a combination of the slit 140 and the groove 130 .
[0056] On the other hand, Figure 5 As shown, the narrowed portion 110 can be implemented in a step difference shape, wherein the thickness in the third direction is reduced compared to the end of the first busbar 100, and the step difference is set from the end of the first busbar 100, instead of forming perforations along the third direction at multiple points between the ends of the first busbar 100.
[0057] Figure 1 , Figure 4 and Figure 5 The shapes of the narrowed portion 110 shown are all for forming a section whose cross-sectional area decreases along the first direction between the ends of the first busbar 100. In addition, even if the cross-sectional area decreases along the first direction, as long as the shape connects the ends of the first busbar 100, the section can be adopted as the structure of the narrowed portion 110.
[0058] In addition, in an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the narrowed portion 110 may be formed of a perforation 120, a groove 130, a slit 140, a step difference, or a combination thereof.
[0059] On the other hand, when current flows through the first busbar 100, since the cross-sectional area of the narrowed portion 110 decreases in the direction of movement of the current, the current density increases, and when a current of a certain value or more flows, heat is generated and the temperature rises. When the temperature continues to rise to reach the melting point of the first busbar 100 or higher, the narrowed portion 110 melts before other portions. When the narrowed portion 110 melts, the ends of the first busbar 100 are separated, so that no current flows through the first busbar 100, and therefore, further damage due to the passage of a large current can be prevented.
[0060] Furthermore, the above description focuses on the first busbar 100 , but the busbar assembly according to the exemplary embodiment of the present invention may be implemented by applying the narrowing portion 110 to the second busbar 200 or by applying the narrowing portion 110 to both the first busbar 100 and the second busbar 200 .
[0061] On the other hand, the arc blocking portion 300 is arranged to surround a portion of the first bus bar 100 and the second bus bar 200 to surround at least the narrowed portion 110 .
[0062] In the process of separating the end of the first busbar 100 by melting the narrowing portion 110, an arc may be generated near the narrowing portion 110, and thus, adjacent equipment may be damaged. Accordingly, the arc blocking portion 300 surrounds the vicinity of the narrowing portion 110 and blocks the arc when an arc is generated in the narrowing portion 110, thereby preventing damage to the surrounding area.
[0063] To this end, the arc blocking portion 300 may be provided with an arc extinguishing agent such as silicon dioxide, and may also be provided with a packaging material for containing the arc extinguishing agent. For example, when an arc is generated in the narrowing portion 110, the arc extinguishing agent is released from the packaging material, and the released arc extinguishing agent absorbs heat during the melting process, preventing the surrounding area from burning.
[0064] The magnetic core 400 is disposed outside the arc blocking portion 300 and may be implemented using a magnetic material such as ferrite. The magnetic core 400 surrounds a portion of the first busbar 100 and a portion of the second busbar 200 at the outer side of the arc blocking portion 300 and may be implemented in a ring shape, for example.
[0065] The magnetic core 400 configured in this manner may reduce electromagnetic waves by absorbing electromagnetic noise components formed between the first bus bar 100 and the second bus bar 200 that are spaced apart from each other.
[0066] As described above, the arc blocking portion 300 surrounds the vicinity of the narrowed portion 110, and the magnetic core 400 surrounds the busbars 100, 200 on the outside of the arc blocking portion 300, thereby providing an integrated structure of a fuse and an electromagnetic wave reducing device that ensures a reduced total volume and full performance of corresponding functions.
[0067] On the other hand, the housing 500 accommodates the first busbar 100 and the second busbar 200, the arc blocking portion 300, and the magnetic core 400, and can be implemented using a plastic material, for example. The housing 500 accommodates and protects components such as the arc blocking portion 300, the magnetic core 400, and the like. Figure 2 As shown, the arc blocking portion 300 and the magnetic core 400 in a completely assembled state are blocked by the housing 500 and are not exposed to the outside.
[0068] The first space 501 and the second space 502 can be set inside the shell 500, and a part of the first busbar 100 and the second busbar 200 and the arc blocking part 300 are arranged in the first space 501; the second space 502 is set outside the first space 501 so that the magnetic core 400 is arranged therein, and the second space 502 is separated from the first space 501.
[0069] The housing 500 may have open ends spaced apart from each other in the first direction, and a partition wall having a smaller circumference than the housing 500 may be provided inside the housing 500. In this case, the first space 501 may be formed inside the partition wall 600, and the second space may be formed between the partition wall 600 and the housing 500, and the first space 501 and the second space 502 are separated from each other by the partition wall 600.
[0070] On the other hand, the housing 500 may include a shell 510 and a cover 520, the shell 510 including an internal space and a side portion, the internal space being integrally formed by a closed end portion, and the side portion extending from the one end portion along a first direction; the cover 520 is coupled to the shell 510 to close another end portion separated from the closed one end portion along the first direction.
[0071] In this case, a plurality of through holes 511, 521 through which the first busbar 100 and the second busbar 200 pass in the first direction may be provided at the closed one end and the cover 520 of the housing 510. The respective cross-sectional areas of the plurality of through holes 511, 521 may correspond to the cross-sectional area of the first busbar 100 or the second busbar 200.
[0072] Therefore, the busbar assembly can be constructed so that corresponding portions of the first busbar 100 and the second busbar 200 (particularly the narrowed portion 110) can be arranged in the housing 500, while the arc blocking portion 300 and the magnetic core 400 are blocked and not exposed to the outside.
[0073] On the other hand, the bus bar assembly according to the exemplary embodiment of the present invention may be applied to a vehicle, and may be arranged between a battery provided in the vehicle and an inverter that converts DC power of the battery into AC power.
[0074] The first bus bar 100 and the second bus bar 200 may be disposed between the battery and the inverter, and serve as a DC input terminal for supplying DC power of the battery to the inverter.
[0075] In this case, the narrowed portion 110 and the arc blocking portion 300 formed in the first busbar 100 can protect the inverter from the influence of large current, and the magnetic core 400 surrounding the first busbar 100 and the second busbar 200 can improve the electromagnetic wave performance of the inverter by absorbing electromagnetic waves.
[0076] According to various embodiments of the present invention as described above, the electromagnetic wave reduction core and the fuse may be provided in the inverter through a bus bar structure in which the electromagnetic wave reduction core and the fuse are integrated.
[0077] Furthermore, by reducing the total volume of the electromagnetic wave reduction core and the fuse, compared with when the electromagnetic wave reduction core and the fuse are provided separately, space can be saved, a structure that is easily applicable to an inverter can be provided, and space utilization can be improved.
[0078] Furthermore, integrating the individual components can reduce costs.
