Abstract
Description
CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS
[0001] This application claims the benefit of Korean Patent Application No. 10-2023-0112994 filed in the Korean Intellectual Property Office on August 28, 2023, the entire contents of which are incorporated herein by reference. Technical Field
[0002] The present invention relates to a molded product made from a thermoplastic resin composition. Background Art
[0003] Engineering plastics are used to replace metals in fields such as machine components and structural materials. Such engineering plastics are used for weight reduction and other purposes in various fields such as interior / exterior parts of automobiles. Among engineering plastics, polycarbonate obtained by polycondensation of aromatic diols (e.g., bisphenol-A) and carbonate precursors (e.g., phosgene) has high transparency and impact resistance as well as excellent mechanical and thermal properties, and is therefore used as engineering plastics in various fields (e.g., for lamp covers, etc.).
[0004] On the other hand, polycarbonate lacks chemical resistance, scratch resistance and weather resistance (especially UV stability). In the past, attempts have been made to reduce these disadvantages by additional processes such as surface treatment and coating, but recently, interest in eco-friendliness is increasing, and the demand for unpainted materials is also increasing due to cost reduction issues. Therefore, it is becoming increasingly difficult to apply previously proposed post-treatments such as surface treatment or coating to improve the physical properties of polycarbonate.
[0005] A method of using silicone and / or montan-based wax has been proposed to improve the scratch resistance of polycarbonate. However, since silicone has a low refractive index, when silicone is used on polycarbonate, optical properties deteriorate. In addition, montan-based wax is easily decomposed due to its low molecular weight, or hardly contributes to improving scratch resistance.
[0006] Furthermore, a method of improving the UV stability of polycarbonate using a radical scavenger (eg, an amine-based radical scavenger) and / or a UV absorber has been proposed, but the radical scavenger decomposes the polycarbonate and the UV absorber decomposes at a processing temperature of the polycarbonate. Summary of the invention

[0008] Exemplary embodiments of the present invention provide a molded article that can have excellent properties derived from polycarbonate while having excellent scratch resistance and excellent weather resistance (particularly UV stability).

In addition, Example 7 has slightly insufficient impact resistance due to excessive use of a benzotriazole-based UV stabilizer.
[0097] On the other hand, Comparative Example 1 does not contain a polysiloxane-polycarbonate copolymer and is inferior in impact resistance, transparency and weather resistance.
