[0049] The present disclosure will now be described in more detail with reference to the following examples. It should be noted that the following description of some of the embodiments presented herein is for illustration and description purposes only. It is not intended to be exhaustive or limited to the precise form disclosed.
[0050] The present disclosure provides, in particular, a touch substrate and a display device, which substantially avoid one or more problems caused by the limitations and disadvantages of the prior art. In one aspect, the present disclosure provides a touch structure. In some embodiments, the touch structure includes a plurality of first mesh electrodes arranged in multiple rows and a plurality of second mesh electrodes arranged in multiple columns. In some embodiments, the corner row of the plurality of first mesh electrodes includes: a plurality of row grid blocks electrically connected in the row direction; and a plurality of residual portions, which are in the corner region and electrically connected to the plurality of row grid blocks. In some embodiments, the corner column of the plurality of second mesh electrodes includes a plurality of column grid blocks electrically connected in the column direction; and a corner column grid block at least partially in the corner region. Optionally, the corner column grid block includes a main body portion and a plurality of protruding portions along the edge of the main body portion. Optionally, the plurality of residual portions and the plurality of protruding portions are alternately arranged along a direction substantially parallel to the edge of the main body portion. Optionally, the touch structure further includes: a residual connecting conductive plate, which electrically connects the plurality of residual portions together, and the residual connecting conductive plate extends along the periphery of the combination of the plurality of protruding portions and the plurality of residual portions.
[0051] A mesh electrode pattern is formed on top of the encapsulation layer of the display panel using flexible unit multilayer (FMLOC) touch technology. The mesh electrode pattern includes touch scanning electrodes and touch sensing electrodes, and optionally includes a fill pattern ("dummy pattern"). The touch detection integrated circuit is configured to detect touch by sensing the mutual capacitance between the touch scanning electrodes and the touch sensing electrodes, and to detect changes in mutual capacitance when touched. Compared with the internal touch electrodes, the touch electrodes in the corner area of the touch structure are truncated, resulting in relatively small mutual capacitance. As a result, the change value of the mutual capacitance detected in the corner area is relatively smaller than the change value of the mutual capacitance detected in the internal area of the touch structure, resulting in a decrease in the touch detection sensitivity in the corner area.
[0052] The inventors of the present disclosure have found that, unexpectedly and surprisingly, by having a complex touch structure including a protruding connection conductive plate and a residual connection conductive plate as disclosed herein, the reduced touch detection sensitivity in the corner region can be significantly improved. In the touch structure of the present disclosure, mutual capacitance can be compensated and scanning / sensing signal interference can be reduced, so that the touch performance (especially in the corner region) is significantly improved.
[0053] The mesh electrode includes grid lines that typically have a line width in the range of 1 μm to 50 μm. Therefore, connecting adjacent grid blocks through the grid lines is particularly difficult and often results in poor connectivity. The present disclosure adopts a novel and advantageous touch electrode design that eliminates the problems in related touch structures.
[0054] Figure 1 FIG. 1 is a partial schematic diagram of a touch structure in some embodiments of the present disclosure.
