Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] The present invention relates to a non-invasive blood sugar detection module, and in particular to a non-invasive blood sugar detection module with high optical penetration and improved detection accuracy. Background Art
[0002] In the manufacturing process of a traditional non-invasive blood glucose monitoring module, the light-emitting element and the photosensitive element on the substrate are first packaged using packaging materials. After a cover plate is set on the packaging material, grooves are formed by half-cutting at appropriate positions of the cover plate and the packaging material (for example, between the light-emitting element and the photosensitive element). Finally, the grooves are filled with opaque glue by dispensing, and the required retaining wall is formed after solidification.
[0003] However, in the process of half-cutting the cover plate and packaging materials, it is difficult to control the cutting depth and path of the tool, which may cause damage to the cover plate or substrate. Furthermore, since the height of the formed retaining wall will reach the surface of the cover plate, the path of light emitted from the light-emitting element and entering the photosensitive element will be reduced, affecting the light-emitting or photosensitive effect. In addition, most traditional packaging materials are mainly epoxy resins, and their light transmittance is generally less than 80%, which will also affect the light-emitting or photosensitive effect, thereby affecting the accuracy of blood sugar testing.
[0004] Therefore, how to design a non-invasive blood glucose detection module that can improve the above-mentioned problems is indeed a topic worth studying. Summary of the invention

[0051] Please refer to the following Figure 1, Figure 2A and Figure 2B ,in Figure 1 FIG. 1 is a top view of a first embodiment of a non-invasive blood glucose detection module 1 with high optical transmittance of the present invention. Figure 2A The first embodiment of the non-invasive blood glucose detection module 1 with high optical transmittance of the present invention is as follows Figure 1 The cross-sectional view of the first straight line L1 in FIG. Figure 2B The first embodiment of the non-invasive blood glucose detection module with high optical transmittance of the present invention is Figure 1 The cross-sectional view of the second straight line L2 in FIG. Figure 1 , Figure 2A and Figure 2B As shown, in this embodiment, the non-invasive blood glucose detection module 1 with high optical transmittance of the present invention comprises a substrate 10, a first detection unit 20 and a second detection unit 30, and the first detection unit 20 and the second detection unit 30 are arranged on the substrate 10. The substrate 10 is a basic structural component of the non-invasive blood glucose detection module 1 with high optical transmittance of the present invention, and is used to carry other components of the non-invasive blood glucose detection module 1 with high optical transmittance. In the present invention, the substrate 10 can be a ceramic substrate, a silicon substrate or a PCB substrate, but the present invention is not limited thereto, and the substrate 10 can also be made of other materials.
[0052] The first detection unit 20 includes a first light source group 21, a first photosensitive element 22 and a plurality of first retaining wall structures 23. The first light source group 21 mainly emits light to irradiate the skin, and the first light source group 21 includes two first light-emitting elements 211. A set interval is maintained between the two first light-emitting elements 211, and each first light-emitting element 211 emits light having a first wavelength. In the present invention, the first light-emitting element 211 may adopt a single LED light source, but the type of the first light-emitting element 211 may be changed according to different design requirements. The first light-emitting element 211 may be electrically connected to the substrate 10 via a welding wire. In the present embodiment, the first wavelength is between 1000nm and 1400nm, and preferably 1065nm, but the value of the aforementioned first wavelength is not limited thereto.
[0053] The first photosensitive element 22 mainly receives the light transmitted back after diffuse reflection from the skin. The first photosensitive element 22 is located on one side of the first light source group 21 to correspondingly sense the light with the first wavelength emitted by the first light source group 21. In the present invention, the first photosensitive element 22 can adopt a single photo sensor (Photo Detector), but the type of the first photosensitive element 22 can be changed according to different design requirements. The first photosensitive element 22 can also be electrically connected to the substrate 10 through a welding wire. The minimum distance from each first light-emitting element 211 to the first photosensitive element 22 (i.e., the straight-line distance from the center of the first light-emitting element 211 to the center of the first photosensitive element 22) is different; that is, one of the two first light-emitting elements 211 is closer to the first photosensitive element 22 than the other first light-emitting element 211. In this embodiment, the first photosensitive element 22 and the first light-emitting elements 211 in the first detection unit 20 are arranged along the first straight line L1.
[0054] The multiple first baffle structures 23 mainly provide the effect of blocking light, and the multiple first baffle structures 23 are located between the two first light-emitting elements 211 of the first light source group 21 and between the first light source group 21 and the first photosensitive element 22. In terms of design, the first baffle structures 23 are used to separate the first light source group 21 and the first photosensitive element 22, so as to prevent the first photosensitive element 22 from directly receiving the light emitted by the first light source group 21 but not reflected by the skin, thereby improving the accuracy of the detection result. The first baffle structures 23 are used to separate the two first light-emitting elements 211, so as to prevent the light intensity of the two first light-emitting elements 211 from being interfered with each other. The multiple first baffle structures 23 can be made of non-light-transmitting (including visible light and invisible light, and the light transmittance is 0%) materials, such as black rubber, but the present invention is not limited to this.
[0055] In the present invention, the viscosity of the material of the plurality of first retaining wall structures 23 is greater than 10000 cps. With this design, when the material forming the first retaining wall structure 23 is applied to the surface of the substrate 10 by dispensing, due to the high viscosity of the material, a three-dimensional structure can be directly formed on the substrate 10 without using processes such as cutting with a knife and glue filling, so that the manufacturing steps of the plurality of first retaining wall structures 23 are simplified. The length of each first retaining wall structure 23 is slightly greater than the length of the first light-emitting element 211 and the first photosensitive element 22, that is, the length of each first retaining wall structure 23 will be adjusted with the different size specifications of the first light-emitting element 211 and the first photosensitive element 22 (for example, the length of each first retaining wall structure 23 is approximately the length of the first light-emitting element 211 or the first photosensitive element 22 plus approximately 0.2 mm); the width of each first retaining wall structure 23 is approximately 0.1 mm to 0.3 mm; the height of each first retaining wall structure 23 is higher than the height of the first light-emitting element 211, the first photosensitive element 22 and the corresponding welding wire (for example, the height of each first retaining wall structure 23 is approximately 0.3 mm).
[0056] The second detection unit 30 includes a second light source group 31, a second photosensitive element 32 and a plurality of second baffle structures 33. The second light source group 31 mainly emits light to irradiate the skin, and the second light source group 31 includes two second light-emitting elements 311. A set spacing is maintained between the two second light-emitting elements 311, and each second light-emitting element 311 emits light having a second wavelength. The second wavelength is different from the aforementioned first wavelength. In the present invention, the second light-emitting element 311 can adopt a single LED light source, but the type of the second light-emitting element 311 can be changed according to different design requirements. The second light-emitting element 311 can be electrically connected to the substrate 10 through a welding wire. In the present embodiment, the second wavelength is between 1400nm and 1800nm, and preferably 1650nm, but the value of the aforementioned second wavelength is not limited thereto. In addition, depending on the design, the value of the first wavelength and the value of the second wavelength can also be interchanged.
[0057] The second photosensitive element 32 mainly receives the light transmitted back after diffuse reflection from the skin. The second photosensitive element 32 is located on one side of the second light source group 31 to correspondingly sense the light with the second wavelength emitted by the second light source group 31. In the present invention, the second photosensitive element 32 can adopt a single light sensor, but the type of the second photosensitive element 32 can be changed according to different design requirements. The second photosensitive element 32 can also be electrically connected to the substrate 10 through a welding wire. The minimum distance from each second light-emitting element 311 to the second photosensitive element 32 (i.e., the straight-line distance from the center of the second light-emitting element 311 to the center of the second photosensitive element 32) is different; that is, one of the two second light-emitting elements 311 is closer to the second photosensitive element 32 than the other second light-emitting element 311. In the present invention, the second photosensitive element 32 and the second light-emitting elements 311 in the second detection unit 30 are arranged along the second straight line L2, and the second straight line L2 is parallel to the first straight line L1. Accordingly, the first detection unit 20 and the second detection unit 30 are arranged side by side, that is, the two first light emitting elements 211 and the first photosensitive element 22 of the first light source group 21 of the first detection unit 20 and the two second light emitting elements 311 and the second photosensitive element 32 of the second light source group 31 of the second detection unit 30 can form an arrangement structure similar to a 2x3 matrix. The first detection unit 20 and the second detection unit 30 each form a horizontal straight line column, and the first photosensitive element 22 and the second photosensitive element 32, each first light emitting element 211 and the adjacent second light emitting element 311 each form a vertical straight line row.
[0058] The plurality of second baffle structures 33 mainly provide the effect of blocking light, and the plurality of second baffle structures 33 are located between the two second light emitting elements 311 of the second light source group 31 and between the second light source group 31 and the second photosensitive element 32. In terms of design, the second baffle structures 33 are used to separate the second light source group 31 and the second photosensitive element 32, so as to prevent the second photosensitive element 32 from directly receiving the light emitted by the second light source group 31 but not reflected by the skin, thereby improving the accuracy of the detection result. The second baffle structures 33 are used to separate the two second light emitting elements 311, so as to prevent the light intensity of the two second light emitting elements 311 from being interfered with each other. The plurality of second baffle structures 33 can be made of a non-light-transmitting material (including visible light and invisible light, and the light transmittance is 0%), such as black rubber, but the present invention is not limited thereto.
[0059] In the present invention, the material properties of the plurality of second retaining wall structures 33 are the same as the material properties of the plurality of first retaining wall structures 23, and the size design of each second retaining wall structure 33 will also be adjusted similarly to the first retaining wall structure 23 as the size specifications of the second light emitting element 311 and the second photosensitive element 32 are different, and no further details will be given here. It is worth mentioning that in the present invention, any first retaining wall structure 23 in the first detection unit 20 and the closest second retaining wall structure 33 in the second detection unit 30 are not connected to each other and a gap D (such as Figure 1 As shown, a gap D is formed between any first retaining wall structure 23 and the second retaining wall structure 33 located on the same longitudinal straight line. By setting the aforementioned gap D, a space for routing the welding wire is generated between the first retaining wall structure 23 and its corresponding second retaining wall structure 33, so that the circuit configuration of the detection module can be flexibly adjusted.
[0060] The non-invasive blood glucose detection module 1 with high optical transmittance of the present invention further includes a packaging structure 40. The packaging structure 40 is used to package all electrical components located on the substrate 10, including the two first light-emitting components 211 of the first light source group 21, the first photosensitive component 22, the two second light-emitting components 311 of the second light source group 31, the second photosensitive component 32 and corresponding welding wires. The packaging structure 40 is applied to the surface of the substrate 10 with a packaging material, so that any one or a combination of the first light-emitting component 211, the first photosensitive component 22, the second light-emitting component 311, the second photosensitive component 32 and the corresponding welding wires will be completely buried in the packaging material, and then the packaging material is formed by compression molding and curing to form the packaging structure 40. Since the welding wire will be connected to the substrate 10 from the surface of any of the aforementioned light-emitting elements or photosensitive elements, the height of the packaging structure 40 will be greater than the height of the first light-emitting element 211, the first photosensitive element 22, the second light-emitting element 311 and the second photosensitive element 32, and sufficient height will be reserved to facilitate the setting of the welding wire; in addition, the packaging structure 40 and each first retaining wall structure 23 and each second retaining wall structure 33 have the same height, but the present invention is not limited to this. In the present invention, the packaging material used in the packaging structure 40 can be a transparent liquid optical glue (for example, mainly made of silicon or acrylic material), but the present invention is not limited to this. The viscosity of the aforementioned packaging material is between 1000cps and 3000cps, and the light transmittance of the packaging material is greater than 95%.
[0061] The non-invasive blood glucose detection module 1 with high optical transmittance of the present invention further includes a transparent cover plate 50. The transparent cover plate 50 is arranged on the first detection unit 20 and the second detection unit 30. The transparent cover plate 50 mainly provides a protective effect for the internal components of the detection module. The transparent cover plate 50 can be fixed by gluing. Since the packaging material forming the packaging structure 40 itself has an adhesive force, the transparent cover plate 50 can be adhesively fixed by the packaging material when the transparent cover plate 50 is set. In addition, by adopting the same height design of the aforementioned packaging structure 40, the plurality of first baffle structures 23 and the plurality of second baffle structures 33, the transparent cover plate 50 can be flatly arranged on the first detection unit 20 and the second detection unit 30, and no cutting operation is required for the transparent cover plate 50. The transparent cover plate 50 is made of a transparent material such as glass, but the present invention is not limited thereto. The transparent cover plate 50 also includes a coating 51, and the coating 51 is formed on the side of the transparent cover plate 50 facing away from the substrate 10. By disposing the coating 51, the transparent cover plate 50 can provide the effect of allowing light of a specific wavelength range to pass through, and can effectively block stray light of other unnecessary wavelength ranges. Since the coating 51 is a structural design commonly used in traditional cover plates, it will not be described in detail here.
[0062] When the non-invasive blood glucose detection module 1 with high optical transmittance of the present invention is actually used, the first light source group 21 of the first detection unit 20 and the second light source group 31 of the second detection unit 30 are sequentially driven to perform the light-emitting process, and the first photosensitive element 22 and the second photosensitive element 32 receive the light reflected from the skin to perform blood glucose detection. Since the distance from each first light-emitting element 211 of the first light source group 21 to the first photosensitive element 22 is different, and the distance from each second light-emitting element 311 of the second light source group 31 to the second photosensitive element 32 is different, the first photosensitive element 22 and the second photosensitive element 32 can respectively analyze the results according to different first light-emitting elements 211 and second light-emitting elements 311, thereby obtaining a more accurate blood glucose detection effect. In addition, since the light emitted by the first light source group 21 of the first detection unit 20 and the second light source group 31 of the second detection unit 30 has different wavelengths, the non-invasive blood glucose detection module 1 with high optical transmittance of the present invention can perform blood glucose detection for light of different wavelengths, thereby obtaining a more accurate blood glucose detection effect.
[0063] Furthermore, the non-invasive blood glucose detection module 1 with high optical transmittance of the present invention first forms a plurality of first retaining wall structures 23 and a plurality of second retaining wall structures 33 with set structural shapes and sizes on the substrate 10 by using a material with high viscosity, and then performs a packaging process for all light-emitting elements and photosensitive elements to form a packaging structure 40 using a packaging material with high light transmittance, so that the packaging structure 40, the plurality of first retaining wall structures 23 and the plurality of second retaining wall structures 33 have the same height, so as to facilitate the setting of a transparent cover plate 50. Compared with the traditional non-invasive blood glucose detection module that needs to perform additional cutting operations to form grooves on the packaging structure and the transparent cover plate in order to set the retaining wall structure, the non-invasive blood glucose detection module 1 with high optical transmittance of the present invention can maintain the integrity of the packaging structure 40 and the transparent cover plate 50, is not easy to cause damage to the substrate 10 and related elements, and improves the light transmittance of the overall detection module. In addition, the non-invasive blood glucose detection module 1 with high optical transmittance of the present invention not only sets a retaining wall structure between any light source group and its corresponding photosensitive element, but also further sets a retaining wall structure between two light-emitting elements of any light source group to avoid light interference between the light-emitting elements and improve the accuracy of blood glucose detection.
[0064] Please refer to the following Figure 3 , Figure 4A and Figure 4B ,in Figure 3 is a top view of a second embodiment of the non-invasive blood glucose detection module with high optical transmittance of the present invention, Figure 4A The second embodiment of the non-invasive blood glucose detection module with high optical transmittance of the present invention is Figure 3 The cross-sectional view of the first straight line L1 in FIG. Figure 4BThe second embodiment of the non-invasive blood glucose detection module with high optical transmittance of the present invention is Figure 3 This embodiment is a variation of the first embodiment, mainly in which other light source groups are added in the first detection unit and the second detection unit. Figure 3 , Figure 4A and Figure 4B As shown, in this embodiment, the first detection unit 20a of the non-invasive blood glucose detection module 1a with high optical transmittance of the present invention further includes a third light source group 24 , and the second detection unit 30a further includes a fourth light source group 34 .
[0065] The first light source group 21 and the third light source group 24 of the first detection unit 20a are symmetrically arranged based on the first photosensitive element 22, that is, the first light source group 21 and the third light source group 24 are respectively arranged on both sides of the first photosensitive element 22. The third light source group 24 includes two third light-emitting elements 241. The two third light-emitting elements 241 maintain a set distance between them, and each third light-emitting element 241 emits light with a first wavelength or a second wavelength. The first photosensitive element 22 is used to sense the light emitted by the first light source group 21 and the third light source group 24. Each third light-emitting element 241 can also be electrically connected to the substrate 10 through a welding wire, and each third light-emitting element 241 is also packaged with a packaging structure 40. The minimum distance from each third light-emitting element 241 to the first photosensitive element 22 is different. In this embodiment, the first photosensitive element 22, the first light-emitting elements 211 and the third light-emitting elements 241 in the first detection unit 20a are arranged along the first straight line L1.
[0066] In response to the configuration of the third light source group 24 , a plurality of first blocking wall structures 23 may be added between the two third light emitting elements 241 of the third light source group 24 and between the third light source group 24 and the first photosensitive element 22 to provide corresponding light blocking effects.
[0067] The second light source group 31 and the fourth light source group 34 of the second detection unit 30a are symmetrically arranged based on the second photosensitive element 32, that is, the second light source group 31 and the fourth light source group 34 are respectively arranged on both sides of the second photosensitive element 32. The fourth light source group 34 includes two fourth light-emitting elements 341. The two fourth light-emitting elements 341 maintain a set interval, and each fourth light-emitting element 341 emits light with a first wavelength or a second wavelength, and the wavelength of the light emitted by each fourth light-emitting element 341 is different from the wavelength of the light emitted by each third light-emitting element 241. For example, if each third light-emitting element 241 emits light with a first wavelength, each fourth light-emitting element 341 emits light with a second wavelength, and depending on the design, the value of the first wavelength and the value of the second wavelength can also be interchanged. The second photosensitive element 32 is used to correspondingly sense the light with a fourth wavelength emitted by the second light source group 31 and the fourth light source group 34.
[0068] The fourth light-emitting element 341 can also be electrically connected to the substrate 10 through a welding wire, and each fourth light-emitting element 341 is also packaged with the packaging structure 40. The minimum distance between each fourth light-emitting element 341 and the second photosensitive element 32 is different.
