[0005] Patent Document 1: Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2005-8020 Summary of the Invention
[0006] [Problems to be Solved by the Invention]
[0007] However, preventive safety technology aims to enable drivers to more reliably identify impending danger. However, in conventional warning devices, such as those described above, where a warning sound is sounded by selecting a speaker corresponding to the direction of the impending danger, a malfunctioning speaker may result in the warning sound not being delivered. Furthermore, if the warning sound is output only from the speaker corresponding to the direction of the impending danger, it may be difficult for the driver to hear the warning sound. Therefore, enabling drivers to more reliably identify impending danger in a mobile vehicle such as a vehicle is a key aspect of the present invention.

[0011] In the above-mentioned mobile body notification device, it can also be constructed that the approaching object identification unit identifies the approaching direction of the object relative to the mobile body, and the notification sound control unit outputs the second notification sound from the following second speaker among the multiple second speakers located on the right and left sides of the driver's seat, and the second speaker is located on the side of the right and left sides that includes the approaching direction of the object relative to the mobile body.
[0012] In the above-mentioned mobile body notification device, it can also be configured that when the object identified by the approaching object identification unit is approaching from the front of the mobile body relative to the approaching direction of the mobile body, the notification sound control unit prohibits the output of the second notification sound from the second speaker and only outputs the first notification sound from the first speaker.
[0013] In the above-mentioned mobile object notification device, the notification sound control unit may output the first notification sound from the first speaker provided in front of the driver's seat and at a position facing the driver's seat.
[0014] In the above-mentioned moving object notification device, the approaching object recognition unit may recognize the proximity of the object to the moving object, and the notification sound control unit may change the frequency component of the second notification sound according to the proximity of the object to the moving object.
[0015] In the above-mentioned mobile body notification device, it can also be configured that the mobile body notification device has a driving operation recognition unit that recognizes the driving operation status of the mobile body, and after the notification sound control unit starts outputting the first notification sound from the first speaker and the second notification sound from the second speaker, when the driving operation recognition unit recognizes that an operation for avoiding the risk caused by the object is performed, the output of the first notification sound from the first speaker and the second notification sound from the second speaker is stopped.
[0016] In the above-mentioned mobile object notification device, the notification sound control unit may be configured to output the first notification sound and the second notification sound by setting the second notification sound to include a component of a first frequency not included in the first notification sound.

[0027] [1. Vehicle structure]
[0028] Reference Figure 1 The structure of a vehicle 100 equipped with the mobile notification device 1 of the present disclosure will be described. The mobile notification device 1 is installed in the vehicle 100 and provides notification using communication sound to the driver D sitting in the driver's seat 5. The vehicle 100 corresponds to the mobile object of the present disclosure.
[0029] The vehicle 100 is equipped with a front camera 40 that captures images of the front of the vehicle 100, a front radar 41 that detects the position of objects in front of the vehicle 100, a rear camera 42 that captures images of the rear of the vehicle 100, and a rear radar 43 that detects the position of objects behind the vehicle 100. A meter 50 that displays speed, distance traveled, and the like, and a meter speaker 52 are provided in front of and opposite the driver's seat 5. Alternatively, a laser radar (LiDAR) may be used as a means for detecting the position of an object.
[0030] A center speaker 53 and a display 51, such as a DA (Display Audio), are located in the center of the instrument panel. A left headrest speaker 54L and a right headrest speaker 54R are located on the headrest 5a of the driver's seat 5. The left and right headrest speakers 54L and 54R are located behind the driver D's seat (seat position) in the driver's seat 5. A left front door speaker 55L is located on the left front door 2L, and a right front door speaker 55R is located on the right front door 2R. A left rear door speaker 56L is located on the left rear door 3L, and a right rear door speaker 56R is located on the right rear door 3R.
[0031] The mobile notification device 1 has a function of wireless communication with a portable device. Figure 1In the figure, a neck speaker 90 worn by driver D is shown as an example of a portable device. Neck speaker 90 receives audio signals transmitted from mobile notification device 1 and outputs them through left speaker 91L and right speaker 91R. Mobile notification device 1 and neck speaker 90 communicate wirelessly based on standards such as Bluetooth (registered trademark). Alternatively, the portable device may be a bone conduction headset.
[0032] [2. Structure of Mobile Object Notification Device]
[0033] Reference Figure 2 The structure of the mobile object notification device 1 will be described. The mobile object notification device 1 is a control unit including a processor 10, a memory 20, a communication unit 30, and the like. The mobile object notification device 1 is connected to a front camera 40, a rear camera 42, and a driver monitoring camera 44, and images captured by each camera are input to the mobile object notification device 1. The mobile object notification device 1 is also connected to a front radar 41 and a rear radar 43, and position detection signals from each radar are input to the mobile object notification device 1.
[0034] The mobile body notification device 1 is connected to a steering angle sensor 45, an accelerator pedal sensor 46, and a brake pedal sensor 47. The detection signal of the steering angle of the steering wheel 6 from the steering angle sensor 45, the detection signal of the operation amount of the accelerator pedal (not shown) from the accelerator pedal sensor 46, and the detection signal of the operation amount of the brake pedal (not shown) from the brake pedal sensor 47 are input into the mobile body notification device 1.
[0035] The mobile object notification device 1 is connected to the meter 50 and the display 51. The screen displays on the meter 50 and the display 51 are controlled by image signals output from the mobile object notification device 1. The mobile object notification device 1 is also connected to the meter speaker 52, the center speaker 53, the left headrest speaker 54L, the right headrest speaker 54R, the left front door speaker 55L, the right front door speaker 55R, the left rear door speaker 56L, and the right rear door speaker 56R. The audio signals output from the mobile object notification device 1 are amplified and output by these speakers. Furthermore, the mobile object notification device 1 wirelessly communicates with the neck speaker 90 via the communication unit 30, transmitting audio signals to the neck speaker 90. This outputs audio from the left speaker 91L and the right speaker 91R of the neck speaker 90.
[0036] The memory 20 stores a program 21 for controlling the mobile object notification device 1. The processor 10 reads and executes the program 21, thereby functioning as an approaching object recognition unit 11, a driving operation recognition unit 12, and a notification sound control unit 13. The approaching object recognition unit 11 identifies an object (such as another vehicle) approaching the vehicle 100 based on images captured by the front camera 40, position detection signals from the front radar 41, images captured by the rear camera 42, and position detection signals from the rear radar 43. The approaching object recognition unit 11 calculates the predicted time TTC (Time to Collision) until the object reaches the vehicle 100 as the degree of the object's approach to the vehicle 100. Furthermore, the approaching object recognition unit 11 identifies the direction in which the object is approaching the vehicle 100.
[0037] The driving operation recognition unit 12 recognizes the operation status of the steering wheel 6, the accelerator pedal, and the brake pedal by the driver D based on the detection signals of the steering angle sensor 45, the accelerator pedal sensor 46, and the brake pedal sensor 47. Alternatively, the driving operation recognition unit 12 may recognize the operation status of the steering wheel 6 by the driver D based on an image of the driver D captured by the driver monitoring camera 44.
[0038] When the approaching object recognition unit 11 recognizes an object approaching the vehicle 100, the notification sound control unit 13 outputs a first notification sound from the instrument panel speaker 52. When the object approaches from the left side of the vehicle 100, the second notification sound is output from the headrest left speaker 54L. When the object approaches from the right side of the vehicle 100, the second notification sound is output from the headrest right speaker 54R. The first and second notification sounds have the following frequency components.
[0039] First notification sound...a dull sound (a sound having a specific frequency component (eg, 500 Hz to 1.4 kHz)).
[0040] The second notification sound includes a dull sound and a directional sound component (multiple low-frequency components (e.g., 300 Hz to 1 kHz) that induce a sense of direction). The directional sound component may be a sound having multiple frequencies and a frequency lower than the dull sound.
[0041] By including a directional sound component in the second notification sound, driver D can recognize the direction of an object approaching vehicle 100. Furthermore, by including a common dull frequency component in the first and second notification sounds, driver D can be given a sense of unity between the first and second notification sounds. This prevents driver D from perceiving danger posed by different objects approaching in front of vehicle 100 and to the left or right of vehicle 100, allowing driver D to recognize the approaching danger posed by a single object. Furthermore, even in the event of a malfunction in either the left headrest speaker 54L or the right headrest speaker 54R, the output of the first notification sound from the instrument panel speaker 52 is ensured, allowing driver D to be reliably informed.
[0042] Furthermore, the notification sound control unit 13 increases the frequency of the first notification sound and the second notification sound as the TTC of the object recognized by the approaching object recognition unit 11 decreases. This allows the driver D to recognize that the object is approaching the vehicle 100 or leaving the vehicle 100.
[0043] [3. Notification to the driver]
[0044] according to Figures 3 and 4 The flowchart shown in FIG. 1 illustrates the steps of a notification process for the driver D executed by the mobile object notification device 1 .
[0045] pass Figure 3 The loop process of steps S1 and S2 is as follows: in step S1, the approaching object recognition unit 11 searches for objects around the vehicle 100, and when an object approaching the vehicle 100 is recognized, the process proceeds to step S3. In step S3, when the approaching object recognition unit 11 recognizes that an object is approaching from the front of the vehicle 100, the notification sound control unit 13 enters the process. Figure 4 In step S30 , when the approaching object recognition unit 11 recognizes that the object is approaching from a direction other than the front of the vehicle 100 , the notification sound control unit 13 advances the process to step S4 .
[0046] In step S4 , when the approaching object recognition unit 11 recognizes that the object is approaching from the left side of the vehicle 100 , the notification sound control unit 13 proceeds to step S10 . When the approaching object recognition unit 11 recognizes that the object is approaching from the right side of the vehicle 100 , the notification sound control unit 13 proceeds to step S5 .
[0047] In step S10, the notification sound control unit 13 starts outputting the first notification sound from the meter speaker 52. In the following step S11, the notification sound control unit 13 starts outputting the second notification sound from the left headrest speaker 54L, and the process proceeds to step S7. Through the processes of steps S10 and S11, the driver D is notified that an object is approaching from the left side of the vehicle 100.
[0048] Furthermore, in step S5, the notification sound control unit 13 starts outputting the first notification sound from the meter speaker 52. In the following step S6, the notification sound control unit 13 starts outputting the second notification sound from the headrest right speaker 54R. Through the processing of steps S5 and S6, the driver D is notified that an object is approaching from the right side of the vehicle 100.
[0049] In step S7, the notification sound control unit 13 determines whether the driving operation recognition unit 12 has recognized that the driver D has performed an operation to avoid contact with the object. If a contact avoidance operation is recognized, the notification sound control unit 13 proceeds to step S8; if no contact avoidance operation is recognized, the process proceeds to step S20. Contact avoidance operations include steering wheel operation away from the object, deceleration by decreasing the accelerator pedal operation, and deceleration by increasing the brake pedal operation.
[0050] In step S8, the notification sound control unit 13 terminates the output of the first and second notification sounds. This continues even after the driver D performs an operation to avoid contact with the object, thus preventing the driver D from becoming annoyed. Furthermore, in step S20, the notification sound control unit 13 determines whether the approaching object recognition unit 11 has recognized that the object's approach to the vehicle 100 has been resolved, based on, for example, a change in the object's direction of travel.
[0051] If the object's proximity to vehicle 100 is resolved, the notification sound control unit 13 proceeds to step S8. If the object's proximity to vehicle 100 continues, the process proceeds to step S21. In step S21, as described above, the notification sound control unit 13 changes the frequencies of the first and second notification sounds according to the proximity of the object identified by the approaching object identification unit 11, and then proceeds to step S7. This change in the frequencies of the first and second notification sounds allows the driver D to intuitively recognize that an object is approaching or departing from vehicle 100.
[0052] exist Figure 4In step S30, the notification sound control unit 13 prohibits the output of the second notification sound from the left and right headrest speakers 54L, 54R, and starts outputting only the first notification sound from the instrument panel speaker 52. Through the processing in step S30, the driver D is notified that an object is approaching from the front of the vehicle 100. In the following step S31, the notification sound control unit 13 determines whether the driving operation recognition unit 12 has recognized that the driver D has performed an operation to avoid contact with the object. If a contact avoidance operation has been recognized, the notification sound control unit 13 proceeds to step S32; if no contact avoidance operation has been recognized, the processing proceeds to step S40.
[0053] In step S32, the notification sound control unit 13 ends the output of the first notification sound and enters the process Figure 3 Step S9 is performed. Thus, even after the driver D performs an operation to avoid contact with the object, it is possible to prevent the first notification sound from continuing to be output, thereby preventing the driver D from becoming annoyed. Furthermore, in step S40, the notification sound control unit 13 determines whether the approaching object recognition unit 11 has recognized that the object is approaching the vehicle 100 and has been resolved based on, for example, a change in the object's traveling direction.
[0054] If the object's proximity to vehicle 100 is resolved, the notification sound control unit 13 proceeds to step S32. If the object's proximity to vehicle 100 continues, the process proceeds to step S41. In step S41, as described above, the notification sound control unit 13 changes the frequency of the first notification sound according to the proximity of the object identified by the approaching object identification unit 11, and the process then proceeds to step S31. This change in the frequency of the first notification sound allows the driver D to intuitively recognize that an object is approaching or departing from vehicle 100.
[0055] [4. Other Implementation Methods]
[0056] In the above embodiment, the notification sound control unit 13 outputs the second notification sound from the headrest left speaker 54L or the headrest right speaker 54R. As another embodiment, when the vehicle 100 does not include the headrest left speaker 54L and the headrest right speaker 54R, it may be configured to output the second notification sound from the headrest left speaker 54L or the headrest right speaker 54R. Figure 1 The speaker included in the portable device, such as the neck speaker 90 shown, outputs the second notification sound.
[0057] In this case, the notification sound control unit 13 recognizes that the driver D is wearing the portable device by recognizing the establishment of communication between the communication unit 30 and the portable device or by recognizing a portion of the portable device in the image of the driver D captured by the driver monitoring camera 44. When the approaching object recognition unit 11 recognizes an object approaching the vehicle 100 from the left side, the notification sound control unit 13 outputs a first notification sound from the meter speaker 52 and a second notification sound from the left speaker 91L of the neck speaker 90. When the approaching object recognition unit 11 recognizes an object approaching the vehicle 100 from the right side, the notification sound control unit 13 outputs a first notification sound from the meter speaker 52 and a second notification sound from the right speaker 91R of the neck speaker 90.
[0058] Alternatively, the second notification sound may be output from speakers such as the left rear door speaker 56L and the right rear door speaker 56R that are arranged behind the seat of the driver D in the driver's seat 5 .
[0059] In the above embodiment, the notification sound control unit 13 outputs the first notification sound from the meter speaker 52 . However, the first notification sound may be output from another speaker located in front of the driver's seat 5 , such as the center speaker 53 .
[0060] In the above embodiment, the vehicle 100 is shown as the movable object of the present disclosure. However, the movable object of the present disclosure may be any movable object that is driven and operated by a driver, and may be an aircraft, a ship, or the like in addition to a vehicle.
[0061] In the above embodiment, the second speakers of the present disclosure include the left and right headrest speakers 54L and 54R, the neck speaker 90, and the left and right rear door speakers 56L and 56R. In another embodiment, the second speakers of the present disclosure may be mounted on the ceiling (roof) of the vehicle 100.
[0062] also, Figure 2 This is a schematic diagram showing the structure of the mobile notification device 1 according to the main processing contents for easy understanding of the present invention. The structure of the mobile notification device 1 can also be configured by other divisions. In addition, the processing of each component can be performed by one hardware unit or by multiple hardware units. Figure 3 The processing of each component shown may be executed by one program or by a plurality of programs.
