Abstract
Description
TECHNICAL FIELD
[0001] The present application relates to the technical field of display devices, in particular to a display device and a media asset playing method. BACKGROUND
[0002] A user can watch media assets through a display device. When the user sets a first media asset to be played at a first resolution and a first speed, if the first resolution is high, for example, the first resolution is 4K or 8K, and the first speed is high, the hardware capability of the display device cannot support the first media asset to be played at the first speed under the first resolution, resulting in that the first media asset is played abnormally or fails. In order to limit the situation of playing a high-resolution media asset at a high speed, the first media asset is generally played by default at a preset speed (for example, 1.0 speed), and a speed button is not displayed on a media asset playing interface. In this way, the user cannot trigger the speed button to open a speed list, and cannot adjust the playing speed of the first media asset, so as to avoid that the user selects a speed option exceeding the hardware capability of the device when playing a high-resolution media asset. When the user switches the first media asset to a low resolution (for example, 1080P, 720P, etc.), the speed button is displayed on the media asset playing interface. It can be seen that the user cannot adjust the playing speed of the media asset as needed when playing a high-resolution media asset. SUMMARY
[0003] Some embodiments of the present application provide a display device and a media asset playing method, which can display a speed button when a current video stream cannot be played at a speed (for example, the resolution of the video stream is high), so that the user can adjust the playing speed of the media asset, and the speed button does not need to be displayed by manually adjusting the resolution.
[0004] In a first aspect, some embodiments of the present application provide a display device, comprising:
[0005] a display configured to display a media asset playing interface;
[0006] a communication device configured to enable the display device to be communicatively connected to a server;
[0007] a controller coupled to the display and the communication device, and configured to:
[0008] in response to an instruction to play a first media asset, send a request to the server, the request being used to request the server to obtain a first video stream and a resolution category configured for the first media asset; wherein the first video stream is a video stream corresponding to a first resolution of the first media asset;
[0009] receive the first video stream and the resolution category configured for the first media asset from the server, the resolution category indicating that the first media asset is further configured with other video streams of a second resolution, the second resolution being different from the first resolution;
[0010] control the display to play the first video stream in the media asset playing interface at the preset first speed;
[0011] in a case where the first video stream corresponding to the first resolution cannot be played at a speed, and at least one of the other video streams corresponding to the second resolution can be played at a speed, control the display to display a speed button in the media asset playing interface, the speed button being used to adjust the playing speed of the first media asset;
[0012] in a case where the first video stream corresponding to the first resolution cannot be played at a speed, and none of the other video streams corresponding to the second resolution can be played at a speed, do not control the display to display a speed button in the media asset playing interface.
[0013] The embodiments of the first aspect have the beneficial effects that: when playing a media asset, the display device requests the server to obtain the first video stream corresponding to the first resolution, and further requests the server to obtain the resolution category configured for the first media asset, so that the display device can learn which video streams of which resolutions are configured for the first media asset, thereby providing a basis for subsequent decision on whether to display a speed button, if the first video stream cannot be played at a speed, and the other video streams of the resolutions configured for the first media asset also cannot be played at a speed, the speed button is not displayed, thereby avoiding the problem that the user cannot adjust the speed based on the speed button due to the misdisplay of the speed button, and avoiding the situation that playing the video stream of high resolution at a high speed causes playing abnormity or failure; if the first video stream cannot be played at a speed, and at least one of the other video streams of the resolutions configured for the first media asset can be played at a speed, the speed button is displayed to support the user to adjust the speed, thereby avoiding the disadvantage that the user cannot adjust the speed due to the continuous misdisplay of the speed button when playing the video stream of high resolution, and the user does not need to reduce the resolution to display the speed button, thereby improving the user watching experience.
[0014] In some embodiments of the first aspect, the controller is further configured to perform the step of controlling the display to display the speed button on the media playback interface in a case that the first video stream corresponding to the first resolution cannot be played at a speed, and at least one of the other video streams corresponding to the second resolution can be played at the speed, specifically by: obtaining playback capability information of the display device; the playback capability information comprising a first speed upper limit value and a second speed upper limit value; wherein the first speed upper limit value is a maximum playback speed supported by the display device when playing a video stream of a non-target resolution, the non-target resolution being not greater than a resolution threshold; the second speed upper limit value is a maximum playback speed supported by the display device when playing a video stream of a target resolution, the target resolution being greater than the resolution threshold, the target resolution comprising the first resolution; the second speed upper limit value is not greater than the first speed upper limit value; setting a first speed adjustment set for the first media corresponding to the non-target resolution based on the first speed upper limit value, the first speed adjustment set comprising a plurality of speed values not greater than the first speed upper limit value; setting a second speed adjustment set for the first media corresponding to the target resolution based on the second speed upper limit value, the second speed adjustment set comprising a plurality of speed values not greater than the second speed upper limit value; controlling the display to display the speed button on the media playback interface in a case that the speed adjustment set corresponding to the first resolution is an empty set, and the speed adjustment set corresponding to the second resolution is a non-empty set; wherein the speed adjustment set corresponding to the first resolution is the second speed adjustment set, and the speed adjustment set corresponding to the second resolution is one of the first speed adjustment set and the second speed adjustment set.
[0015] The embodiment has the beneficial effects that: the resolution threshold is used to define the resolution, the first upper limit of speed is used to limit the maximum playing speed supported by the media asset video stream with lower resolution, and the second upper limit of speed is used to limit the maximum playing speed supported by the media asset video stream with higher resolution; the display device can preset a resolution threshold, and for a non-target resolution not exceeding the resolution threshold, the first media asset is set to correspond to a first speed adjustment set under the non-target resolution; since different models of display devices have different performance, some high-end display devices support high resolution (such as 4K, 8K, etc.), and the server can set an effective second upper limit of speed for such display devices, so that the display device can set the second speed adjustment set corresponding to the first media asset under the target resolution. In this way, the speed of the video stream of the first media asset with different resolutions can be adjusted, providing a reference basis for subsequent speed button display control and speed switching control. When the speed adjustment set corresponding to the first resolution is an empty set and the speed adjustment set corresponding to the second resolution is a non-empty set, it indicates that at least one video stream corresponding to the resolution of the first media asset can be speeded up, and the display device displays the speed button. In this way, when the user switches the speed, at least one video stream with a resolution can be played at the switched speed, which can avoid the problem of playing abnormally / failing when playing a high-resolution video stream at a high speed, and can ensure that the speed button is displayed under the condition of adjustable speed to support the user to adjust the speed, avoid the disadvantage that the user cannot adjust the speed due to the continuous non-display of the speed button, and improve the user viewing experience.
[0016] In some embodiments of the first aspect, the step of the controller performing the step of not controlling the display to display the speed button on the media asset playing interface when the first video stream corresponding to the first resolution cannot be speeded up and the other video streams corresponding to the second resolution cannot be speeded up is specifically configured to: when the speed adjustment set corresponding to the first resolution and the speed adjustment set corresponding to the second resolution are both empty sets, the controller does not control the display to display the speed button on the media asset playing interface. The embodiment has the beneficial effects that: when the speed adjustment set corresponding to the first resolution and the speed adjustment set corresponding to the second resolution are both empty sets, it indicates that the video streams corresponding to all resolutions of the first media asset cannot be speeded up, and the speed button is not displayed to avoid the situation that the speed button is displayed incorrectly and the speed adjustment fails.
[0017] In some embodiments of the first aspect, the controller, after the step of controlling the display to display the speed-up button on the media playback interface in the case that the first video stream corresponding to the first resolution cannot be played at a speed-up speed and at least one of the other video streams corresponding to the second resolution can be played at a speed-up speed, is further configured to: in response to an instruction of triggering the speed-up button, control the display to display a speed-up list on an upper layer of the media playback interface; in response to a speed-up adjustment instruction input by a user based on the speed-up list, obtain a second speed-up speed to which the speed-up adjustment instruction indicates to switch; wherein the second speed-up speed is greater than the first speed-up speed; determine a third resolution from the second resolution, the third resolution being less than the first resolution and the display device being able to play a second video stream corresponding to the third resolution of the first media at the second speed-up speed; obtain the second video stream from the server; stop playing the first video stream and control the display to play the second video stream at the second speed-up speed on the media playback interface.
[0018] This embodiment has the beneficial effect that, in the case that the first video stream corresponding to the first resolution cannot be played at a speed-up speed and at least one of the other video streams corresponding to the second resolution can be played at a speed-up speed, if a user selects to switch to a second speed-up speed based on the speed-up list and the second speed-up speed is greater than the first speed-up speed, a third resolution less than the first resolution needs to be determined from the second resolution, the third resolution being able to be played at the second speed-up speed, so that the display device stops playing the first video stream and plays a second video stream corresponding to the third resolution at the second speed-up speed, thereby improving the feasibility of high speed-up adjustment by automatically down-regulating the resolution, belonging to the case of adjusting both the speed-up speed and the resolution, and avoiding the problem that speed-up adjustment fails and the user cannot watch the first media at the second speed-up speed.
[0019] In some embodiments of the first aspect, the controller, after the step of controlling the display to play the first video stream at the preset first speed in the media playback interface, is further configured to: in the case that the first video stream corresponding to the first resolution can be played at a speed, control the display to display a speed button on the media playback interface; in response to an instruction of triggering the speed button, control the display to display a speed list on an upper layer of the media playback interface; in response to a speed adjustment instruction input by a user based on the speed list, acquire a second speed to be switched to indicated by the speed adjustment instruction; wherein the second speed is greater than the first speed; in the case that the display device cannot play the first video stream at the second speed, determine a third resolution from the second resolution; the third resolution is less than the first resolution, and the display device can play a second video stream corresponding to the third resolution of the first media at the second speed; acquire the second video stream from the server; stop playing the first video stream, and control the display to play the second video stream at the second speed in the media playback interface.
[0020] The embodiment has the beneficial effect that: in the case that the first video stream corresponding to the first resolution can be played at a speed, the media playback interface also displays a speed button, so that when switching from the first speed to the second speed, the second speed being greater than the first speed, it is also considered whether the display device supports playing the current first video stream at the second speed, and in the case that the display device cannot play the first video stream at the second speed, for example, the display device does not support playing an 8K video stream at 2.0 speed, a third resolution less than the first resolution needs to be determined from the second resolution, the third resolution being able to be played at the second speed, so that the display device stops playing the first video stream and plays a second video stream corresponding to the third resolution at the second speed, thereby improving the feasibility of high-speed adjustment by automatically adjusting the resolution, belonging to the case of adjusting both the speed and the resolution, avoiding the problem that speed adjustment fails and the user cannot watch the first media at the second speed.
[0021] In some embodiments of the first aspect, the controller, after the step of acquiring a second speed to be switched to indicated by the speed adjustment instruction input by a user based on the speed list, is further configured to: in the case that the display device can play the first video stream at the second speed, control the display to continue playing the first video stream at the second speed in the media playback interface.
[0022] The embodiment has the beneficial effect that, in the case where the display device can play the first video stream at the second speed, the second speed can be directly switched to, so that the first video stream is continued to be played at the second speed, which belongs to the case of only adjusting the speed without adjusting the resolution, and the video stream corresponding to the first resolution with the second speed is played.
[0023] In some embodiments of the first aspect, after the controller performs the steps of stopping playing the first video stream and controlling the display to play the second video stream at the second speed in the media playing interface, the controller is further configured to: store resolution adjustment indication information, the resolution adjustment indication information being used to indicate that, in the case where the second speed is switched back to the first speed, the resolution of the first media is switched back from the third resolution to the first resolution.
[0024] The embodiment has the beneficial effect that, for the case of adjusting both the speed and the resolution, the high-speed playing is realized by automatically reducing the resolution, so that if the user subsequently switches back from the second speed to the first speed, the first resolution can be synchronously restored. Based on the inventive concept, after the first speed is switched to the second speed and the resolution is reduced from the first resolution to the third resolution, the controller can store the resolution adjustment indication information to indicate that the first resolution is synchronously restored when the second speed is switched back to the first speed, thereby providing a reference basis for whether the resolution is synchronously adjusted when the speed is subsequently switched.
[0025] In some embodiments of the first aspect, after the switching to play the first media at the second speed, the controller is further configured to: in response to an instruction to switch back to the first speed, if it is detected that the resolution adjustment indication information is not stored, control the display to continue playing the second video stream at the first speed in the media playing interface; if it is detected that the resolution adjustment indication information is stored, acquire the first video stream corresponding to the first resolution of the first media from the server; stop playing the second video stream and control the display to play the first video stream at the first speed in the media playing interface. The embodiment has the beneficial effect that, based on the previous embodiment, when the second speed is switched to the first speed, it is queried whether the resolution adjustment indication information is stored; if the resolution adjustment indication information is not stored, it is indicated that the resolution was not adjusted when the speed was previously switched, so that only the speed is restored, that is, the second video stream corresponding to the third resolution is continued to be played at the first speed; if the resolution adjustment indication information is stored, it is indicated that the resolution was reduced based on the first resolution when the first speed was previously switched to the second speed, so that the second video stream is stopped and the first video stream corresponding to the first resolution is played at the first speed, thereby realizing the synchronous restoration to the first resolution when the first speed is switched back, and guaranteeing the viewing effect of the user.
[0026] In some embodiments of the first aspect, the playback capability information further comprises integral machine speed capability information, the integral machine speed capability information being used to indicate whether the display device has a speed playback capability, and the controller, after obtaining the playback capability information of the display device, is further configured to: in a case where the integral machine speed capability information indicates that the display device does not have a speed playback capability, not control the display to display a speed button on the media playback interface; and in a case where the integral machine speed capability information indicates that the display device has a speed playback capability, determine whether to control the display to display a speed button on the media playback interface according to the speed adjustment set corresponding to the first resolution and the speed adjustment set corresponding to the second resolution.
[0027] The embodiment has the beneficial effects that: when the device integral machine does not have a speed playback capability, it is indicated that the display device cannot support media speed adjustment, and therefore the speed button is not displayed, and it is not necessary to determine whether to display the speed button according to the first upper speed limit value and the second upper speed limit value, which can not only avoid the situation that the speed button is displayed incorrectly and the user cannot adjust the speed, but also reduce the computational load of low-end / low-performance devices; and in a case where the device integral machine has a speed playback capability, the media playback interface can be further determined to display the speed button according to the speed adjustment set corresponding to the first resolution and the second resolution.
[0028] In a second aspect, some embodiments of the present application further provide a media playback method, comprising:
[0029] In response to an instruction to play a first media, a server is sent an acquisition request, the acquisition request being used to request the server to acquire a first video stream and a resolution category configured for the first media; wherein the first video stream is a video stream corresponding to a first resolution of the first media.
[0030] The server sends the first video stream and the resolution category configured for the first media, the resolution category representing that the first media is further configured with other video streams having a second resolution, and the second resolution is different from the first resolution.
[0031] The first video stream is played on a media playback interface at a preset first speed.
[0032] In a case where the first video stream corresponding to the first resolution cannot be played at a speed, and at least one of the other video streams corresponding to the second resolution can be played at a speed, a speed button is displayed on the media playback interface, and the speed button is used to adjust the playback speed of the first media.
[0033] In a case that the first video stream corresponding to the first resolution cannot be played at a speed, and other video streams corresponding to the second resolution cannot be played at a speed, a speed button is not displayed on the media asset playing interface.
[0034] The embodiment of the above second aspect has the beneficial effect that when the media asset is played, the display device requests the server to acquire the first video stream corresponding to the first resolution, and also requests to acquire the resolution category configured for the first media asset, so that the display device can know which video streams of which resolutions are configured for the first media asset, thereby providing a basis for subsequent decision on whether to display the speed button. If the first video stream cannot be played at a speed, and other video streams of other resolutions configured for the first media asset also cannot be played at a speed, the speed button is not displayed, thereby avoiding the problem that the user cannot adjust the speed based on the speed button due to the misdisplay of the speed button, and avoiding the situation of playing abnormally / failing to play when playing the video stream of high resolution at a high speed. If the first video stream cannot be played at a speed, and at least one of the video streams of other resolutions configured for the first media asset can be played at a speed, the speed button is displayed to support the user to adjust the speed, thereby avoiding the disadvantage that the user cannot adjust the speed due to the continuous non-display of the speed button, and the user does not need to display the speed button by reducing the resolution, thereby improving the user viewing experience. [0077] The operating system can be divided into different modules or levels according to the functions implemented, for example, as shown in FIG. 2, in some embodiments, the system is divided into four layers, from top to bottom, the application layer (referred to as "application layer"), the application framework layer (referred to as "framework layer"), the system library layer and the kernel layer. Figure 3
[0078] In some embodiments, the application layer is used to provide services and interfaces for application programs, so that the display device 200 can run application programs and interact with users based on the application programs. At least one application program can be run in the application layer, which can be a window (Window) program, a system setting program or a clock program provided by the operating system, or an application program developed by a third-party developer. In specific implementation, the application programs in the application layer are not limited to the above examples.
[0079] In some embodiments, referring to Figure 3 , the application layer can run a plurality of application programs, such as application 1, application 2, and application 3, etc. To implement media content playback control and playback speed adjustment, the application layer can set application programs related to these functions, such as a media content playback application or a player application, etc. The controller can run at least one related application program in the application program to implement the technical solutions of the embodiments of the present application.
[0080] The framework layer provides application programming interfaces (APIs) and programming frameworks for application programs. The application program framework layer includes some pre-defined functions. The application program framework layer is equivalent to a processing center that decides which application program in the application layer to act. The application program can access resources in the system and obtain services of the system through the API interface in execution.
[0081] Referring to Figure 3 , the application program framework layer in the embodiments of the present application includes a view system, managers, a content provider, etc. The view system can design and implement the interface and interaction of the application program, and the view system includes lists, grids, text boxes, buttons, etc. The managers include at least one of the following modules: an activity manager for interacting with all activities running in the system; a location manager for providing system location services to system services or applications; a package manager for retrieving various information related to application program packages currently installed on the device; a notification manager for controlling the display and clearing of notification messages; and a window manager for managing icons, windows, toolbars, wallpapers, and desktop components on the user interface.
[0082] In some embodiments, the activity manager is used to manage the life cycle of each application program and the general navigation back function, such as controlling the exit, opening, back, etc. of the application program. The window manager is used to manage all window programs, such as obtaining the size of the display screen, judging whether there is a status bar, locking the screen, intercepting the screen, and controlling the display window change, such as reducing the display window, shaking the display, and twisting the display, etc.
[0083] In some embodiments, the system runtime layer can provide support for the framework layer. When the framework layer is used, the operating system runs the instruction library contained in the system runtime layer, such as the C / C++ instruction library, to implement the functions implemented by the framework layer.
[0084] In some embodiments, the kernel layer is a functional layer between the hardware and the software of the display device 200. The kernel layer can implement functions such as hardware abstraction, multitasking, memory management, etc. For example, as shown in FIG. 2B, the kernel layer can be configured with a hardware driver. The driver contained in the kernel layer can be at least one of the following drivers: an audio driver, a display driver, a Bluetooth driver, a camera driver, a WIFI driver, a USB driver, an HDMI driver, a sensor driver (such as a fingerprint sensor, a temperature sensor, a pressure sensor, etc.), and a power supply driver, etc. Figure 3
[0085] It should be noted that the above examples are only a simple division of the functions of the operating system, and do not constitute a limitation on the specific operating system form of the display device 200 in the embodiments of the present application. According to the function of the display device, the type of the operating system, and other factors, the number and specific type of the layers contained in the operating system can be in other forms.
[0086] In some embodiments, the display device can run a media asset playback application, which is used to provide media asset resources, media asset details, and call a player to play media assets. The user can click the icon control of the media asset playback application to start the media asset playback application. The controller starts the media asset playback application in response to the instruction to start the media asset playback application, and controls the display to display the home interface of the media asset playback application, which includes the related information of the media assets pushed in the form of a recommendation position, so that the user can on-demand the media assets that the user wants to watch.
[0087] In some embodiments, the display device can control the media asset playback application to play the first media asset at a preset first resolution and a first speed in response to an instruction to play the first media asset, to realize the initial start of the first media asset. The first resolution is the resolution that is set by default when starting the media asset, for example, the first resolution is "high definition (720P)". The first speed is the speed that is used by default when starting the media asset, for example, the first speed is 1.0 times speed. The media asset playback application includes a plurality of video resources for the user to watch, and the media asset playback application can interact with the media asset player to realize functions such as media asset control, speed adjustment, resolution adjustment, etc.
[0088] In some embodiments, the display device, in response to the instruction of playing the first media asset, can further acquire resolution information of the first media asset, the resolution information including a resolution category to which the first media asset is configured. The same media asset playing application can configure the same or different resolution information for different media assets, and the standards for configuring the resolution information by different media asset playing applications can be different. An exemplary resolution information includes: standard definition (480P), high definition (720P), ultra definition (1080P), 4K, 8K, etc.
[0089] Figure 4a An exemplary media asset playing interface provided by some embodiments of the present application when playing a low-resolution media asset Figure 1 .
[0090] Referring to Figure 4a , when playing the first media asset in the media asset playing interface, the controller can control the display to display a definition button 41 in the media asset playing interface. In response to an instruction of triggering the definition button 41, the controller can control the display to display a resolution list 41a in the upper layer of the media asset playing interface based on the resolution information corresponding to the first media asset, the resolution list 41a including at least one adjustable resolution option. In the case where the user does not switch the resolution of the media asset, the focus is by default selected to the resolution option corresponding to the first resolution in the resolution list 41a, for example, the focus is selected to “standard definition (480P)”.
[0091] In some embodiments, the display device has a player interface at the bottom layer, and when playing a media asset, the player interface can access a preset data bit, which is used to dynamically record the timeshift capability of the media asset video stream according to the hardware decoding capability of the device and the first resolution corresponding to the currently playing media asset, the timeshift capability including having timeshift adjustment capability and not having timeshift adjustment capability.
[0092] In some embodiments, the controller plays the first media asset by running a media asset playing application, and the media asset playing application can access the preset data bit through the player interface to acquire the timeshift playing capability of the display device for the first video stream corresponding to the first resolution of the first media asset.
[0093] Figure 4b An exemplary media asset playing interface provided by some embodiments of the present application when playing a low-resolution media asset Figure 2 .
[0094] Referring to Figure 4a , for example, when playing a media asset at a lower resolution of standard definition (480P), the media asset playing application determines that the first video stream corresponding to standard definition (480P) can be timeshifted after accessing the preset data bit through the player interface, referring to Figure 4a and Figure 4bThe media playback interface also displays a speed-up button 42. The controller responds to the command to trigger the speed-up button 42, see [link / details]. Figure 4b The control monitor displays a playback speed list 42a on top of the media playback interface. The playback speed list 42a includes at least one adjustable speed option, such as "Standard Definition (480P)", "High Definition (720P)", "Ultra-High Definition (1080P)", "4K", and "8K". When the user does not switch the media playback speed, the focus is selected by default on the speed option corresponding to the first speed in the playback speed list 42a, for example, "Standard Definition (480P)".
[0095] Figure 5 This is a schematic diagram of a media asset playback interface provided in some embodiments of this application when playing high-resolution media assets.
[0096] See Figure 5 For example, when playing media assets at a higher resolution (8K), the media asset playback application, after accessing the preset data bits through the player interface, determines that the first video stream corresponding to 8K cannot be sped up, indicating that the device hardware does not support decoding and playing 8K video at high speeds. See [link to relevant documentation]. Figure 5 The playback interface does not display the speed adjustment button.
[0097] Therefore, when a display device plays a media asset at a first resolution and a first speed, if the first resolution is high (e.g., 4K, 8K) and the first speed is high (e.g., greater than 1.0X), the display device's hardware capabilities cannot support playing high-resolution media asset video streams at higher speeds, resulting in abnormal media asset playback (e.g., stuttering, black screen) or playback failure. To limit the playback of high-resolution media assets at high speeds, display devices generally default to playing media assets at a preset first speed (e.g., 1.0x) and do not display a speed adjustment button on the media asset playback interface. This prevents users from triggering the speed adjustment button to open the speed list and thus cannot adjust the playback speed of the media asset, thereby preventing users from selecting a speed option that exceeds the device's hardware capabilities when playing high-resolution media assets. This method has the following problems:
[0098] Question 1: When playing high-resolution media on a display device, the playback interface does not display a speed adjustment button unless manually switched to a lower resolution. However, users may want to quickly browse the media or fast-play uninteresting segments. Because the playback interface does not provide a speed adjustment button, users cannot find an entry point to switch playback speeds, preventing them from adjusting the playback speed as needed.
[0099] Question two: if the user wants to adjust the playback speed of the media asset, he needs to manually reduce the resolution of the media asset, for example, adjust the resolution from 8K to 720P. After the media asset playback application accesses the preset data bit through the player interface, it determines that the first video stream corresponding to 720P has the speed-up capability, and then displays the speed-up button in the media asset playback interface, so that the user can adjust the playback speed of the media asset through the speed-up button and the speed-up list, resulting in low speed-up adjustment efficiency.
[0100] The embodiments of the present application automatically control the display state of the speed-up button based on the playback capability of the device and the speed-up capability of the media asset video stream with different resolutions, and automatically coordinate the resolution of the media asset when adjusting the speed-up, thereby improving the speed-up adjustment efficiency.
[0101] Figure 6a The flow of the media asset playback method provided for some embodiments of the present application Figure 1 .
[0102] The controller can implement the method by running a related application (for example: a media asset playback application) to solve the problem that the user cannot adjust the speed-up when the high-resolution video stream cannot be speeded up, and the speed-up button is not displayed continuously, etc. See Figure 6a , the method comprises:
[0103] Step S61, in response to an instruction to play a first media asset, a server is sent an acquisition request.
[0104] In some embodiments, the user can select the first media asset he wants to watch in the media asset playback application, for example, click the recommendation position control of the first media asset, or click the play button in the detail page of the first media asset, thereby inputting the instruction to play the first media asset.
[0105] In some embodiments, the controller can acquire a preset first resolution from the media asset playback application in response to the instruction to play the first media asset. The first resolution is the resolution that the media asset playback application sets by default when playing the media asset, for example, the first resolution is high definition (720P).
[0106] In some embodiments, the acquisition request includes the media asset ID of the first media asset, the preset first resolution, and the device ID of the display device, etc. The acquisition request is used to request the server to acquire the first video stream matched with the media asset ID and the first resolution, and the resolution category configured for the first media asset matched with the media asset ID.
[0107] Step S62, receiving the first video stream and the resolution category configured for the first media asset sent by the server.
[0108] In some embodiments, the server sends the first video stream and the resolution category configured for the first media asset to the display device corresponding to the device ID in response to the acquisition request.
[0109] In some embodiments, the resolution category includes a second resolution in addition to the first resolution, and the second resolution is different from the first resolution. That is, the resolution category indicates that the first media asset is configured with a first video stream corresponding to the first resolution, and is also configured with other video streams corresponding to other resolutions (e.g., the second resolution). The second resolution is different from the first resolution, and the second resolution can be greater than the first resolution, or the second resolution can be less than the first resolution.
[0110] Step S63, controlling the display to play the first video stream in the media asset playing interface at the preset first speed.
[0111] In some embodiments, the controller can obtain the preset first speed from the media asset playing application in response to the instruction to play the first media asset. The first speed is a speed that is set by default by the media asset playing application when playing the media asset, for example, 1.0 speed. After receiving the first video stream sent by the server, the media asset playing application can control the player to call the setSpeed() interface to set the playing speed of the first media asset to the first speed. In this way, the first media asset is played at the first resolution and the first speed.
[0112] In some embodiments, the setSpeed() interface can achieve speed adjustment by controlling the frame rate of the display device. For example, when the speed is 1.0, the frame rate of the display device is 30fps (Frames Per Second, frames per second), and when the speed is switched to 2.0, the frame rate can be adjusted to 60fps.
[0113] Step S64, determining whether the first video stream corresponding to the first resolution can be played at a speed.
[0114] In some embodiments, different models of display devices have different speed playing capabilities for video streams of different resolutions. For example, some high-end / high-performance display devices support playing video streams of high resolutions (e.g., 4K, 8K, etc.) at high speeds (e.g., 1.5X, 2.0X, etc.), while some low-end / low-performance display devices cannot support playing video streams of high resolutions at high speeds. Therefore, based on the speed playing capability corresponding to the model of the current display device, it can be determined that the display device can play the first video stream at a speed.
[0115] If the first video stream corresponding to the first resolution can be played at a speed, step S66 is performed. If the first video stream corresponding to the first resolution cannot be played at a speed, it indicates that the first resolution is high (e.g., 4K, 8K, etc.), and step S65 is performed.
[0116] Step S65, determining whether there is at least one video stream corresponding to the second resolution that can be played at a speed.
[0117] In some embodiments, based on the current display device model corresponding to the playback speed capability, it can also be determined whether the video stream corresponding to the other resolution (e.g., the second resolution) can be played at a speed. If at least one of the other video streams corresponding to the second resolution can be played at a speed, it indicates that there is a video stream corresponding to a resolution that can be played at a speed and adjusted, so the controller can adjust the resolution to adapt to the speed playback, and thus step S66 can be executed. If none of the other video streams corresponding to the second resolution can be played at a speed, it indicates that the display device does not support the speed playback and adjustment of the first media asset, and thus step S67 is executed.
[0118] In step S66, the controller controls the display to display a speed button on the media asset playback interface.
[0119] In some embodiments, in the case where the first video stream corresponding to the first resolution cannot be played at a speed and at least one of the other video streams corresponding to the second resolution can be played at a speed, with reference to Figure 4a and Figure 4b , the controller can control the display to display a speed button 42 on the media asset playback interface. In this way, after the user triggers the speed button 42, the upper layer of the media asset playback interface can display a speed list 42a, so that the user can select the playback speed of the first media asset as needed based on the speed list 42a.
[0120] In step S67, the controller does not control the display to display a speed button on the media asset playback interface.
[0121] In some embodiments, in the case where the first video stream corresponding to the first resolution cannot be played at a speed and none of the other video streams corresponding to the second resolution can be played at a speed, with reference to Figure 5 , the upper layer of the media asset playback interface does not display the speed button 42, thereby limiting the user to adjust the playback speed of the first media asset.
[0122] In this way, when the first media asset is started, the display device requests the server to obtain the first video stream corresponding to the first resolution, and also requests to obtain the resolution category configured for the first media asset. This allows the display device to know which resolutions the first media asset is configured with, thus providing a basis for subsequent decisions on whether to display the speed-up button. If the first video stream cannot be sped up, and other video streams configured for the first media asset also cannot be sped up, the speed-up button is not displayed. This avoids the problem of users being unable to adjust the speed-up based on the button due to accidental display of the speed-up button, and avoids playback abnormalities / failures when playing high-resolution video streams at high speeds. If the first video stream cannot be sped up, and at least one of the other video streams configured for the first media asset can be sped up, the speed-up button is displayed to support user speed adjustment. This avoids the drawback of continuously not displaying the speed-up button when playing high-resolution video streams, which prevents users from adjusting the speed-up, and eliminates the need for users to lower the resolution to display the speed-up button, thus improving the user viewing experience.
[0123] In some embodiments, where the first video stream corresponding to the first resolution cannot be sped up, but at least one of the other video streams corresponding to the second resolution can be sped up, refer to Figure 4a and Figure 4b The controller can control the display of the speed adjustment button 42 on the media playback interface. See also Figure 4b In response to the instruction to trigger the speed adjustment button 42, the controller controls the display to show the speed adjustment list 42a on top of the media playback interface. The speed adjustment list 42a may include several speed adjustment options, such as 0.8X, 1.0X, 1.25X, 1.5X, and 2.0X, not exceeding the maximum playback speed supported by the display device (e.g., 2.0X). This allows the user to select the desired speed adjustment option based on the speed adjustment list and then input the speed adjustment command.
[0124] In some embodiments, the controller responds to a playback speed adjustment command and obtains the second playback speed indicated by the command. Users often have a need to quickly browse videos, thus reducing viewing time without skipping the playback progress (to avoid missing exciting content); therefore, most users choose to increase the playback speed. Thus, in this embodiment, the second playback speed to be switched to is greater than the first playback speed. For example, the first playback speed is 1.0X, and the second playback speed selected by the user is 2.0X.
[0125] In some embodiments, where the first video stream corresponding to the first resolution cannot be sped up, but at least one of the other video streams corresponding to the second resolution can be sped up, the display device does not support playing the higher resolution first video stream at the second speed. In this way, the resolution can be automatically adjusted to adapt to the scenario of playing the first media asset at the second speed.
[0126] In some embodiments, for a second resolution other than the first resolution in the resolution category configured for the first media asset, the controller can determine a third resolution from the second resolution, the third resolution being smaller than the first resolution, and the display device being able to play a video stream corresponding to the third resolution of the first media asset (hereinafter referred to as: second video stream) at a second speed. The controller can acquire the second video stream from the server, stop playing the original first video stream, and control the display to play the second video stream at the second speed in the media asset playing interface. In this way, the feasibility and effectiveness of high-speed adjustment / switching are improved by automatically reducing the resolution, which belongs to the case of adjusting both the speed and the resolution, avoiding the problem that the user cannot watch the first media asset at the second speed due to the failure of speed adjustment.
[0127] In some embodiments, when the controller stops playing the first video stream, it can cache the playing progress A of the first video stream. When playing the second video stream at the second speed, the starting position of the second video stream is automatically jumped based on the playing progress A, realizing the continuous playing of the second video stream from the playing progress A. In this way, the consistency of the playing progress can be maintained when switching between video streams of different resolutions, and the abrupt change of the playing progress can be avoided.
[0128] In some embodiments, for the case that the first video stream corresponding to the first resolution can be played at a speed, the speed button 42 will also be displayed on the media asset playing interface. For this case, in response to the speed adjustment instruction, the controller needs to further determine whether the display device can play the first video stream at the second speed after switching to the second speed, i.e., determine whether the display device has the ability to play a video stream of a higher resolution at a high speed.
[0129] In some embodiments, in the case that the display device cannot play the first video stream at the second speed, the controller can determine a third resolution smaller than the first resolution from the second resolution according to the previous embodiments, and the third resolution can be played at the second speed. In this way, the display device stops playing the first video stream and plays the second video stream corresponding to the third resolution at the second speed, thereby improving the feasibility of high-speed adjustment by automatically reducing the resolution, which belongs to the case of adjusting both the speed and the resolution, avoiding the problem that the user cannot watch the first media asset at the second speed due to the failure of speed adjustment.
[0130] In some embodiments, in the case that the display device is capable of playing the first video stream at the second speed, the asset resolution is not changed (the first resolution is maintained), but the second speed can be directly switched to, and the display is controlled to continue playing the first video stream at the second speed in the asset playing interface. This case belongs to adjusting only the speed and not adjusting the resolution, so that the video stream corresponding to the higher first resolution is played at the higher second speed under the premise that the device playing capability can support it.
[0131] In some embodiments, for the case that the resolution is downgraded from the first resolution to the third resolution when switching from the first speed to the second speed, the controller can store resolution adjustment indication information, which is used to indicate that the resolution of the first asset is cut back from the third resolution to the first resolution when cutting back from the second speed to the first speed.
[0132] For the case of adjusting both the speed and the resolution, the high-speed playing is realized by automatically downgrading the resolution, so that if it is subsequently cut back from the second speed to the first speed, it can be synchronously restored to the first resolution. Based on the inventive concept, after switching from the first speed to the second speed and simultaneously downgrading the resolution from the first resolution to the third resolution, the controller can store resolution adjustment indication information to indicate that it is synchronously restored to the first resolution when subsequently cutting back from the second speed to the first speed, thereby providing a reference basis for whether to synchronously adjust the resolution when subsequently switching the speed.
[0133] In some embodiments, the controller can control the asset playing application to cache the resolution adjustment indication information.
[0134] In some embodiments, referring to Figure 4b , the user can cut back the playing speed of the first asset to the first speed based on the speed list 42a. The controller, in response to the instruction of cutting back to the first speed, if it is detected that the asset playing application does not store the resolution adjustment indication information, indicating that the resolution was not adjusted when the speed was previously switched, only the speed is restored, i.e., at the first speed, the display is controlled to continue playing the second video stream corresponding to the third resolution in the asset playing interface.
[0135] In some embodiments, if it is detected that the asset playing application stores the resolution adjustment indication information, indicating that the resolution was downgraded based on the first resolution when previously switching from the first speed to the second speed, the first video stream corresponding to the first resolution of the first asset is obtained from the server, the current second video stream is stopped playing, and the display is controlled to play the first video stream at the first speed in the asset playing interface. In this way, it is realized that when cutting back to the first speed, it is synchronously restored to the higher first resolution, thereby providing the user with a more high-definition asset display effect at a lower speed, and improving the user viewing experience.
[0136] Figure 6b An example of server-stored configuration data is provided for some embodiments of the present application.
[0137] In some embodiments, the server can interact with the media playback application, see Figure 6b The server can configure resolution information corresponding to each media in the media playback application, which includes at least one resolution category configured for the media, and the server can produce and store video stream data of different resolutions corresponding to each media. Taking media A as an example, the server can configure resolution information A corresponding to the media ID of media A, which includes resolution A1, resolution A2, and resolution A3, etc. The media data stored by the server includes: video stream A1 corresponding to resolution A1, video stream A2 corresponding to resolution A2, video stream A3 corresponding to resolution A3, etc. That is, the media video stream is related to the media ID and the resolution.
[0138] In some embodiments, see Figure 6b The server can also configure playback capability information of different models of display devices. The server can store playback capability information mapped with different device information, which includes but is not limited to device model, device serial number, etc.
[0139] In some embodiments, see Figure 6b Taking display device a as an example, the server can configure playback capability information a mapped with the device information of display device a, which includes but is not limited to: speedMax and speed1.
[0140] speedMax is a first speed upper limit value, which is the maximum playback speed supported by the display device when playing a video stream of a non-target resolution. Among them, the non-target resolution refers to a lower resolution. In order to measure the resolution, the display device can preset a resolution threshold, and classify the resolutions not greater than the resolution threshold as non-target resolutions, for example, if the resolution threshold is 1080P, then the non-target resolutions can include 1080P, 720P, 480P, 360P, etc.
[0141] speed1 is a second speed upper limit value, which is the maximum playback speed supported by the display device when playing a video stream of a target resolution. Among them, the target resolution refers to a higher resolution, and the resolutions greater than the resolution threshold are classified as target resolutions, for example, if the resolution threshold is 1080P, then the target resolutions can include 4K, 8K, etc., that is, speed1 can specifically include speed4K and speed8K.
[0142] In some embodiments, speedMax can be used commonly for a plurality of resolutions, such as standard definition (480P), high definition (720P), and ultra definition (1080P), which do not exceed a resolution threshold. This is because speedMax is a general parameter related to the playback capability of the device itself. In theory, all resolutions can share speedMax, but using high speed when playing low resolution media is not likely to cause playback abnormal problems such as freezing and black screen. Therefore, when playing media video streams that do not exceed the resolution threshold, speedMax can be referred to for speed display and adjustment. For media video streams that exceed the resolution threshold, a second speed upper limit value is configured separately, and the second speed upper limit value is not greater than the first speed upper limit value.
[0143] In some embodiments, the higher the target resolution, the higher the requirement for the decoding and playback capability of the device hardware, and the smaller the second speed upper limit value. For example, if the second speed upper limit value includes speed4K and speed8K, speed8K≤speed4K.
[0144] In some embodiments, some display devices can not have the capability to decode and play high resolution (such as 4K and 8K) media. When configuring the playback capability information of such display devices, the server can not configure speed1, that is, the playback capability information does not include speed1, or the server can set speed1 to be empty. In this way, after the display device obtains the playback capability information from the server, if it is detected that the playback capability information does not include speed1 or speed1 is empty, it is determined that the local device does not have the capability to play media video streams of the target resolution, and then the speed of the media video stream can be determined according to speedMax.
[0145] In some embodiments, the playback capability information can also include supportSpeed. supportSpeed represents the overall speed capability information of the display device, which is used to represent whether the display device has the speed playback capability. Some low-end display devices have limited hardware decoding and playback capability due to low device performance, and users prefer to set high speed to speed up the playback of media. Therefore, low-end display devices usually do not have the speed playback capability by default. The server can assign values to supportSpeed and define the overall speed capability indicated by different values of supportSpeed. For example, supportSpeed = false indicates that the display device does not have the speed playback capability, and supportSpeed = true indicates that the display device has the speed playback capability.
[0146] In some embodiments, after obtaining the play capability information matching the native model / serial number, the controller can first determine whether the display device has the speed play capability according to the whole machine speed capability information. If the display device does not have the speed play capability, it means that the display device cannot support the media speed adjustment, and the speed button is not displayed. Therefore, it is not necessary to determine whether to display the speed button according to speedMax and speed1, which can avoid the user from being unable to adjust the speed due to the misdisplay of the speed button, and can reduce the computational load of low-end / low-performance devices. If the display device has the speed play capability, the controller can further determine whether to control the display to display the speed button 42 on the media play interface according to speedMax and speed1.
[0147] In some embodiments, the controller can classify the resolution configured by the first media into non-target resolution (low resolution) and target resolution (high resolution) according to the resolution category and the resolution threshold value configured by the first media. For example, an exemplary resolution information includes: standard definition (480P), high definition (720P), ultra definition (1080P), 4K and 8K. Assuming that the resolution threshold value is 1080P, the non-target resolution includes standard definition (480P), high definition (720P) and ultra definition (1080P), and the target resolution includes 4K and 8K.
[0148] In some embodiments, the controller can set the first speed adjustment set corresponding to the non-target resolution of the first media based on the first speed upper limit value, and the first speed adjustment set includes a plurality of speed values not greater than the first speed upper limit value. Assuming that the first speed upper limit value speedMax is 2.0X, the first speed adjustment set is an example of {0.8X, 1.0X, 1.25X, 1.5X, 2.0X}.
[0149] In some embodiments, the speed values (such as 0.8X, 1.0X, 1.25X and 1.5X) other than speedMax in the first speed adjustment set can be configured by the media play application.
[0150] In some embodiments, the server writes speedMax and the speed values other than speedMax in the first speed adjustment set into the play capability information, which is equivalent to that the server can directly configure the first speed adjustment set mapped by the non-target resolution in the play capability information. In this way, the media play application can directly obtain the first speed adjustment set by analyzing the play capability information.
[0151] In some embodiments, after the media playback application parses the playback capability information, the second upper limit value is obtained. If the second upper limit value is a non-empty value, the controller can set the second speed adjustment set of the target resolution corresponding to the first media based on the second upper limit value. The second speed adjustment set includes a plurality of speed values that are not greater than the second upper limit value.
[0152] In some embodiments, the second upper limit value is not greater than the first upper limit value, and the second upper limit value is a speed value from the first speed adjustment set. In this way, the second speed adjustment set is a subset of the first speed adjustment set. Taking speed4K as an example, assuming that the second upper limit value speed4K is 15X, then the second speed adjustment set is {0.8X, 1.0X, 1.25X, 1.5X}.
[0153] In some embodiments, after the media playback application parses the playback capability information, the second upper limit value can be obtained. If the second upper limit value is not obtained from the playback capability information, or the second upper limit value is an empty value, it indicates that the playback capability of the display device does not support playing the media video stream of the target resolution at any speed. Therefore, the controller can set the first speed adjustment set for the non-target resolution of the first media based on the first upper limit value. That is, in this scenario, there is no second speed adjustment set.
[0154] In this way, based on the first upper limit value and the second upper limit value, the first speed adjustment set and the second speed adjustment set can be obtained, and then the playback capability of the display device for the video stream of different resolutions of the first media can be determined, and the adjustable speed of the video stream of different resolutions of the first media can be determined, thereby providing a reference basis for subsequent speed button display control and speed switching control.
[0155] In some embodiments, in the case that the first video stream corresponding to the first resolution cannot be played at a speed, the target resolution includes the first resolution, and the speed adjustment set corresponding to the first resolution is the second speed adjustment set. Since the second resolution can be greater than or less than the first resolution, the speed adjustment set corresponding to the second resolution is one of the first speed adjustment set and the second speed adjustment set.
[0156] In some embodiments, in the case that the first video stream corresponding to the first resolution can be played at a speed, the first resolution can belong to the target resolution or the non-target resolution. In this case, the speed adjustment set corresponding to the first resolution is one of the first speed adjustment set and the second speed adjustment set, and the speed adjustment set corresponding to the second resolution is one of the first speed adjustment set and the second speed adjustment set.
[0157] In this way, based on the supportSpeed and the speed adjustment set corresponding to different resolutions, it can be determined whether to display the speed button 42 on the media content playing interface, and when subsequently switching to a second higher speed, it can be determined whether the resolution needs to be adjusted, so that the video stream corresponding to the adjusted resolution can be compatible with the second speed playing.
[0158] In some embodiments, in a case where the speed adjustment set corresponding to the first resolution is an empty set and the speed adjustment set corresponding to the second resolution is a non-empty set, it indicates that the first video stream corresponding to the first resolution cannot be played at a speed, and at least one of the other video streams corresponding to the second resolution can be played at a speed, the controller controls the display to display the speed button on the media content playing interface. In this way, when the user switches the speed, it can be ensured that at least one video stream of a resolution can be played at the switched speed, which can not only avoid the problem of playing abnormally / failing when playing a high-resolution video stream at a high speed, but also ensure that the speed button is displayed in the case of adjustable speed to support the user to adjust the speed, avoid the disadvantage that the user cannot adjust the speed due to the continuous non-display of the speed button, and the user does not need to reduce the resolution to display the speed button, thereby improving the user viewing experience.
[0159] In some embodiments, in a case where the speed adjustment set corresponding to the first resolution and the speed adjustment set corresponding to the second resolution are both empty sets, it indicates that the first video stream corresponding to the first resolution cannot be played at a speed, and the other video streams corresponding to the second resolution also cannot be played at a speed, the controller does not control the display to display the speed button on the media content playing interface, so as to avoid the case that the speed button is mistakenly displayed, resulting in speed adjustment failure.
[0160] In some embodiments, if the playing capability information includes the whole-machine speed capability information, and the whole-machine speed capability information indicates that the display device does not have a speed playing capability, the controller does not control the display to display the speed button on the media content playing interface. In this way, it is not necessary to determine the speed adjustment set corresponding to different resolutions according to the first speed upper limit value and the second speed upper limit value, and it is not necessary to determine whether to display the speed button based on the speed adjustment set corresponding to the first resolution and the speed adjustment set corresponding to the second resolution, which can not only avoid the case that the speed button is mistakenly displayed, resulting in the user being unable to adjust the speed, but also can reduce the computational load of low-end / low-performance devices.
[0161] In some embodiments, in a case where the whole-machine speed capability information indicates that the display device has a speed playing capability, whether to control the display to display the speed button on the media content playing interface is determined according to the speed adjustment set corresponding to the first resolution and the speed adjustment set corresponding to the second resolution.
[0162] In some embodiments, the timing of obtaining the playback capability information is not limited. The controller can preload the playback capability information matching the device information (including device model and device ID) from the server when starting the media playback application, and control the media playback application to cache the playback capability information. In this way, when the controller executes steps S64 and S65, it can quickly read the playback capability information from the cache of the media playback application as a basis for determining whether the video streams corresponding to the first resolution and the second resolution of the first media can be played at a speed.
[0163] In some embodiments, the controller can obtain the playback capability information of the display device from the server when receiving an instruction to play the first media. That is, the timing of obtaining the playback capability information is the moment of starting the media.
[0164] In some embodiments, the display device can cache the playback capability information in the local preset storage bit when it is factory-fitted. In this way, when the controller executes steps S64 and S65, it can access the preset storage bit and read the playback capability information as a basis for determining whether the video streams corresponding to different resolutions of the first media can be played at a speed.
[0165] In some embodiments, the display device can store the playback capability information matching the device model / serial number when it is factory-fitted. In this way, the display device can obtain the playback capability information from the local preset address without the need to dynamically obtain it from the server.
[0166] Figure 7 Flow of the media playback method provided by some embodiments of the present application Figure 2 .
[0167] The controller can implement the method by running a related application (e.g., a media playback application), see Figure 7 , which can include:
[0168] Step S71, in response to an instruction to start the media playback application, obtaining the playback capability information of the display device from the server.
[0169] The media playback application can send a first obtaining request to the server, which contains the device information of the display device, including but not limited to the device model, the device serial number, the device ID, etc. The server responds to the first obtaining request, see Figure 6b , finds the playback capability information mapped by the device information of the display device, and sends the playback capability information to the display device. The media playback application obtains the playback capability information, which can be parsed and cached.
[0170] In some embodiments, the media playback application can reacquire the playback capability information of the display device from the server after each start of the media playback application. This is because the server can update the playback capability information, for example, the server performs error correction when detecting an error in the playback capability information, and stores the corrected playback capability information; for another example, an operator can actively modify the playback capability information of some display devices.
[0171] In some embodiments, when the playback capability information of the display device of the S type is updated, the server can send an update message to the display device of the S type, the update message being used to indicate that the playback capability information has been updated. In this way, the display device of the S type receives the update message, and the media playback application acquires and caches the updated playback capability information from the display device.
[0172] In some embodiments, when the display device of the S type does not receive the update message sent by the server, the media playback application can not repeatedly acquire the playback capability information from the server, and complete the display control of the speed button and the speed adjustment based on the playback capability information cached by the application.
[0173] Step S72, in response to the instruction of playing the first media, acquiring the preset first resolution.
[0174] Step S73, acquiring the resolution information and the first video stream corresponding to the first resolution of the first media from the server.
[0175] In some embodiments, the media playback application can send a second acquisition request to the server, the second acquisition request containing the media ID of the first media and the device ID of the display device. The server responds to the second acquisition request, see Figure 6b , finds the resolution information mapped by the media ID, and sends the resolution information to the display device corresponding to the device ID. The resolution information includes the resolution category configured by the server for the first media, the resolution category being used to represent that the first media is configured with video streams corresponding to different resolutions (including the first resolution and the second resolution), including the first video stream corresponding to the first resolution, and other video streams corresponding to other resolutions (such as the second resolution), wherein the second resolution is different from the first resolution.
[0176] In some embodiments, the media playback application can send a third acquisition request to the server, the third acquisition request containing the media ID of the first media, the first resolution and the device ID. The server responds to the third acquisition request, see Figure 6bAccording to the media asset ID, the server finds the media asset data of the first media asset, the media asset data including video stream data corresponding to different resolutions in the resolution information. The server obtains the first video stream corresponding to the first resolution from the media asset data and sends the first video stream to the display device corresponding to the device ID.
[0177] In some embodiments, the second acquisition request and the third acquisition request can be merged into a single acquisition request including the media asset ID, the first resolution, and the device ID. The server sends the first video stream and the resolution information to the display device in response to the acquisition request.
[0178] In step S74, the display device is controlled to play the first video stream at the preset first speed in the media asset playing interface.
[0179] In step S75, the speed play capability of the display device for the video stream of the first media asset at different resolutions is set based on the first speed upper limit value and the second speed upper limit value.
[0180] In step S76, it is determined whether the speed adjustment condition is met.
[0181] If it is determined that the speed adjustment condition is met based on the whole machine speed capability information (supportSpeed) and the speed play capability of the display device for the video stream of the first media asset at different resolutions, step S77 is performed. If it is determined that the speed adjustment condition is not met based on the whole machine speed capability information (supportSpeed) and the speed play capability of the display device for the video stream of the first media asset at different resolutions, step S78 is performed.
[0182] In step S77, the display device is controlled to display the speed button in the media asset playing interface.
[0183] In step S78, the display device is not controlled to display the speed button in the media asset playing interface.
[0184] In some embodiments, the server can preset the play capability information corresponding to different types of display devices. When the media asset playing application is started, a program for acquiring the play capability information from the server is triggered. The whole machine speed capability information (supportSpeed) in the play capability information is used to indicate whether the display device has the speed play capability. Therefore, the whole machine speed capability information is one of the optional bases for determining whether the speed adjustment condition is met.
[0185] The embodiments of the present application use a resolution threshold to define the resolution level. The target resolution greater than the resolution threshold is defined as a higher resolution, and the non-target resolution not greater than the resolution threshold is defined as a lower resolution. The first upper speed limit value (speedMax) is used to limit the maximum playback speed of the display device for the media video stream of the lower resolution, and the second upper speed limit value (speed1) is used to limit the maximum playback speed of the display device for the media video stream of the higher resolution. For example, for the lower resolution standard definition (480P) video stream, the display device can support any speed playback not exceeding speedMax; for example, for the higher resolution 4K video stream, the display device can support any speed playback not exceeding speed4K; for example, for the higher resolution 8K video stream, the display device can support any speed playback not exceeding speed8K. Therefore, by the first upper speed limit value and the second upper speed limit value, a speed adjustment set corresponding to different resolutions can be obtained to measure the speed playback capability of the display device for the video stream of different resolutions of the first media, thereby providing a reference basis for determining whether the speed adjustment condition is met, and deciding whether to display the speed button on the media playback interface.
[0186] In this way, based on the overall playback capability of the display device, and the first upper speed limit value and the second upper speed limit value to restrict the speed playback capability of the display device for the video stream of different resolutions of the first media, the display / hiding of the speed button is controlled, and then whether to support the user to adjust the playback speed of the first media is controlled. This can not only avoid the problem of playback abnormality / failed playback when playing the video stream of high resolution at high speed, but also ensure that the speed button is continuously displayed in the case of adjustable speed to support the user to adjust the speed, avoid the disadvantage that the user cannot adjust the speed due to the continuous non-display of the speed button, and the user does not need to display the speed button by reducing the resolution, thereby improving the user viewing experience.
[0187] In some embodiments, after determining the speed playback capability (the first speed adjustment set and the second speed adjustment set) corresponding to the video stream of different resolutions of the first media based on the resolution information and the playback capability information, step S76 can be performed to determine whether the speed adjustment condition is met.
[0188] In some embodiments, the determination criterion A that the speed adjustment condition is not met is configured as follows: if the overall speed capability information (supportSpeed) indicates that the display device does not have the speed playback capability, indicating that the display device does not support playing the media video stream of any resolution at any speed, it is determined that the speed adjustment condition is not met, and the speed button 42 is not displayed on the media playback interface.
[0189] In some embodiments, the criterion B for determining whether the speed adjustment condition is satisfied is configured as follows: if all the resolution corresponding speed adjustment sets of the first media asset are empty sets, i.e., the first speed adjustment set corresponding to the non-target resolution is an empty set and the second speed adjustment set corresponding to the target resolution is an empty set, it is determined that the speed adjustment condition is not satisfied, and the speed button 42 is not displayed on the media asset playing interface. The speed adjustment set is one of the first speed adjustment set and the second speed adjustment set, i.e., the speed adjustment set corresponding to the non-target resolution is the first speed adjustment set, and the speed adjustment set corresponding to the target resolution is the second speed adjustment set.
[0190] At least one of the above-mentioned criterion A and criterion B is satisfied, and it is determined that the speed adjustment condition is not satisfied. In this way, in the case that the device does not have the speed play capability and / or the video stream corresponding to all the resolutions of the first media asset cannot be played at a speed, the speed button is not displayed on the media asset playing interface, so that the user cannot adjust the playing speed of the first media asset, thereby avoiding the case that the speed button is displayed by mistake and the speed adjustment fails.
[0191] In some embodiments, the criterion C for determining whether the speed adjustment condition is satisfied is configured as follows: if the device speed capability information indicates that the display device has the speed play capability, and the speed adjustment set corresponding to at least one resolution of the first media asset is a non-empty set, it is determined that the speed adjustment condition is satisfied, and the speed button 42 is displayed on the media asset playing interface. When the device has the speed play capability, it is indicated that the playing capability of the display device supports the speed adjustment of the media asset, and when the speed adjustment set corresponding to at least one resolution of the first media asset is a non-empty set, it is indicated that the video stream corresponding to at least one resolution of the first media asset can be played and adjusted at a speed. Therefore, the speed button can be displayed on the media asset playing interface, so that when the user switches the speed, it is ensured that the video stream corresponding to at least one resolution can be played at the switched speed, thereby avoiding the case that the speed adjustment fails and continuously displaying the speed button so that the user can adjust the playing speed of the media asset.
[0192] In some embodiments, the criterion C can be specifically configured as follows: the device speed capability information indicates that the display device has the speed play capability, and the first speed adjustment set and the second speed adjustment set are both non-empty sets. In this way, the display device supports playing the video stream corresponding to the non-target resolution at a speed not greater than speedMax, and supports playing the video stream corresponding to the target resolution at a speed not greater than speed1.
[0193] In some embodiments, the criterion C can be specifically configured as: the whole-machine speed capability information indicates that the display device has the speed play capability, and the first speed adjustment set is a non-empty set and the second speed adjustment set is an empty set. In this way, the display device supports playing the video stream corresponding to the non-target resolution at a speed not exceeding speedMax, but does not support playing the video stream corresponding to the target resolution at any speed. Figure 8 The flow of the media asset playing method provided for some embodiments of the present application Figure 3 .
[0194] The controller can implement the method by running a related application (for example, a media asset playing application), see Figure 8 , which can include:
[0195] Step S81, when playing the video stream A corresponding to the non-target resolution of the first media asset at the first speed, in response to the instruction to adjust to the target resolution, obtaining the video stream B corresponding to the target resolution from the server.
[0196] In some embodiments, see Figure 4a , the display device is playing the video stream A corresponding to the first media asset at the first speed, the video stream A corresponds to the non-target resolution (for example, 480P), assuming that the resolution threshold is 1080P, the user adjusts the resolution to the target resolution (for example, 4K) based on the resolution list 41a, and the media asset playing application can obtain the video stream B corresponding to the 4K resolution from the server.
[0197] Step S82, stop playing the video stream A, and control the display to play the video stream B at the first speed in the media asset playing interface.
[0198] In some embodiments, when adjusting the resolution of the first media asset, it is necessary to stop playing the video stream A corresponding to the non-target resolution in advance, keep the speed unchanged, that is, still play the video stream B at the first speed, so as to automatically switch the video stream of the first media asset following the adjustment of the resolution.
[0199] Step S83, judge whether supportSpeed is false.
[0200] If supportSpeed is false, that is, the whole-machine speed capability information indicates that the display device does not have the speed play capability, step S84 is executed. If supportSpeed is true, that is, the whole-machine speed capability information indicates that the display device has the speed play capability, step S85 is executed.
[0201] Step S84, do not control the display to display the speed button in the media asset playing interface.
[0202] Step S85, determining whether the speed adjustment set corresponding to at least one resolution is a non-empty set.
[0203] If the speed adjustment set corresponding to at least one resolution of the first media asset is a non-empty set, step S86 is performed. If the speed adjustment set corresponding to all resolutions of the first media asset is an empty set, step S84 is performed.
[0204] Step S86, controlling the display to display the speed button in the media asset playing interface, and obtaining a second speed adjustment set in response to an operation of triggering the speed button.
[0205] Since the resolution is adjusted to the target resolution, the second speed adjustment set can be obtained to determine the speed adjustment range of the video stream B, so as to control the display of the speed list 42a.
[0206] Step S87, generating a speed list according to the second speed adjustment set, and controlling the display to display the speed list in the upper layer of the media asset playing interface.
[0207] In some embodiments, when the video stream corresponding to the target resolution is played, if the user triggers the speed button 42, the controller can generate the speed list 42a based on the second speed adjustment set, that is, the speed list 42a includes the speed options corresponding to the speed values in the second speed adjustment set. In this way, based on the speed playing capability of the display device for the video stream of the target resolution, the speed list 42a can display the speed options selectable by the user at the target resolution, and filter out the speed options that cannot be set at the target resolution. In this way, when the media asset video stream of the target resolution is played, the user cannot set the speed that exceeds the playing capability of the device, thereby avoiding the problem of speed switching failure without adjusting the resolution.
[0208] Figure 9 Variation of the media asset playing interface provided by some embodiments of the present application Figure 1 .
[0209] In some embodiments, referring to (a) of FIG. Figure 9 , assuming that the resolution threshold is 1080P and the current non-target resolution is 480P, when the user triggers the speed button 42, the controller generates the speed list 42a based on the first speed adjustment set, for example, the speed list 42a includes 0.8X, 1.0X, 1.25X, 1.5X and 2.0X, wherein 2.0X is the first upper limit value of the speed.
[0210] In some embodiments, referring to (a) of FIG. Figure 9(b) of FIG. 1, after the user switches the resolution from 480P to the target resolution 4K, when the user triggers the speed button 42, the controller generates the speed list 42a based on the second speed adjustment set, for example, the speed list 42a includes 0.8X, 1.0X, 1.25X and 1.5X, wherein 1.5X is the second speed upper limit value. In this way, when playing the video stream B of 4K, the 2.0X option that cannot be set at 4K is filtered out, and the speed options that can be set for the video stream B of 4K supported by the playing device are retained, so that the user can switch the playing speed of the video stream B between 0.8X, 1.0X, 1.25X and 1.5X.
[0211] When the display device plays the video stream B corresponding to the target resolution, assuming that the target resolution is 4K, referring to Figure 9 , the speed list 42a is generated based on the second speed adjustment set, so the option that cannot be played at 2.0X for the video stream B of 4K is filtered out, that is, 2.0X is filtered out. However, the user may want to watch the first media at 2.0X, for example, when watching the video stream B, the user encounters content that is not interested in, and wants to quickly play through the content that is not interested in, or the user is used to or prefers to watch the media at 2.0X to reduce the time spent on watching the media, in which case the Figure 9 example, the user cannot select the 2.0X option based on the speed list 42a, which affects the user's watching experience.
[0212] In some embodiments, the controller can generate the speed list 42a based on the first speed adjustment set in response to the instruction of triggering the speed button 42, that is, the speed list 42a includes the speed options corresponding to the speed values in the first speed adjustment set. In this way, the speed list 42a is generated based on the maximum speed playing capability of the display device as a whole, so that the speed list 42a can cover the maximum speed adjustment range and provide more complete speed options, thereby meeting the user's preferences and needs for speed adjustment.
[0213] Figure 10 Variation of the media playing interface provided for some embodiments of the present application Figure 2 .
[0214] In some embodiments, referring to Figure 10 (a) of FIG. 1, assuming that the resolution threshold is 1080P and the current non-target resolution is 480P, when the user triggers the speed button 42, the controller generates the speed list 42a based on the first speed adjustment set, for example, the speed list 42a includes 0.8X, 1.0X, 1.25X, 1.5X and 2.0X, wherein 2.0X is the first speed upper limit value.
[0215] In some embodiments, referring to Figure 10(b) figure, after the user switches the resolution from 480P to the target resolution 4K, the controller still generates the fast-forward list 42a based on the first fast-forward adjustment set when the user triggers the fast-forward button 42. In this way, when playing the 4K video stream B, the fast-forward list 42a continues to retain the 2.0X option corresponding to the first fast-forward upper limit value, enabling the user to select the 2.0X option. However, the device playback capability does not support playing the 4K video stream B at 2.0 times the speed, a conflict between the fast-forward playback capability and the fast-forward switching operation causes the first media asset to have a playback abnormality or failure problem.
[0216] Figure 11 Flowchart four of the media asset playback method provided for some embodiments of the present application.
[0217] The controller can implement the method by running a related application (for example, a media asset playback application) to solve the problem of a conflict between the fast-forward playback capability and the fast-forward switching operation, causing the first media asset to have a playback abnormality or failure problem, see Figure 11 The method can include:
[0218] Step S111, when playing the first video stream corresponding to the first resolution of the first media asset at the first fast-forward speed, in response to an instruction of triggering the resolution button, generating a resolution list based on the resolution information and the playback capability information, and controlling the display to display the resolution list on the upper layer of the media asset playback interface.
[0219] In some embodiments, the display device displays the resolution button 41 on the media asset playback interface when playing the first media asset, see Figure 10
[0220] Since the server configures the resolution information for each media asset when configuring the resolution information, the resolution information is only related to the media asset, and the playback capability of different models of display devices is not considered. Therefore, there may be a case where the resolution information includes a target resolution such as 4K or 8K, but the display device does not support the target resolution playback. In this way, if the resolution list is generated based only on the resolution information, it will lead to the user selecting a resolution option that exceeds the device playback capability, resulting in media asset playback failure. Therefore, in response to an instruction of triggering the resolution button 41, the controller can generate a resolution list 41a based on the resolution information and the playback capability information.
[0221] In some embodiments, step S111 is specifically configured to: if the playing capability information does not include the second upper limit value of the speed or the second upper limit value of the speed is a null value, i.e., the second speed adjustment set is an empty set, detecting whether the target resolution is contained in the resolution information; if the target resolution is contained in the resolution information, deleting the target resolution from the resolution information, thereby modifying the resolution information, and generating and displaying the resolution list 41a based on the modified resolution information; if the target resolution is not contained in the resolution information, directly generating and displaying the resolution list 41a based on the resolution information. In this way, the resolution option that is not supported by the native playing capability can be avoided from being displayed in the resolution list 41a.
[0222] In step S112, in response to the resolution adjustment instruction input by the user based on the resolution list, a second resolution indicated by the resolution instruction is acquired, and a video stream C corresponding to the first media asset at the second resolution is acquired from the server.
[0223] In some embodiments, the first resolution is a resolution that is used by the media asset playing application by default when the media asset is played, and is usually not very large (for example, set to 720P) to ensure that the first media asset can be played and to reduce the delay of playing the media asset. Based on different performance and playing capability of the display device, the first resolution can belong to the target resolution or the non-target resolution. In this embodiment, in response to the high demand of the user for the resolution, the second resolution indicated by the resolution instruction is greater than the first resolution, and the second resolution is greater than the resolution threshold, i.e., the target resolution includes the second resolution, indicating that the user has adjusted the resolution to the target resolution.
[0224] In some embodiments, the controller can send a request for acquiring the video stream C to the server based on the media asset ID of the first media asset, the second resolution, and the device ID. The server acquires the video stream C matched with the media asset ID and the second resolution in response to the request, and sends the video stream C to the display device corresponding to the device ID.
[0225] In step S113, the playing of the first video stream is stopped, and the display is controlled to play the video stream C at the first speed in the media asset playing interface.
[0226] When the user adjusts the resolution to a higher second resolution, the original first video stream is stopped, and the video stream C is continued to be played at the first speed. At this time, only the resolution of the first media asset is adjusted, and the playing speed and the playing progress of the first media asset are not changed.
[0227] In step S114, in response to the speed adjustment instruction input by the user based on the speed list, a second speed to be switched to is acquired.
[0228] In some embodiments, the user can select a target speed-up option based on the speed-up list 42a, thereby inputting a speed-up switching instruction, and the controller obtains the speed-up value corresponding to the target speed-up option (i.e., the second speed-up) by analyzing the speed-up switching instruction. When playing the video stream C at the second resolution, the second speed-up is greater than the first speed-up, i.e., the user has increased the play speed, and it is possible that the speed-up switched by the user exceeds the play speed-up capability of the high-resolution video stream.
[0229] In step S115, it is determined whether the second speed-up is included in the speed-up adjustment set corresponding to the second resolution.
[0230] If the second speed-up is included in the speed-up adjustment set corresponding to the second resolution, step S116 is performed. If the second speed-up is not included in the speed-up adjustment set corresponding to the second resolution, step S117 is performed.
[0231] In step S116, the display is controlled to continue playing the video stream C at the media play interface at the second speed-up.
[0232] If the second speed-up is included in the speed-up adjustment set corresponding to the second resolution, it indicates that the display device supports playing the media video stream C at the second resolution at the second speed-up, and the play speed can be switched from the first speed-up to the second speed-up, and the play progress and resolution of the first media remain unchanged, i.e., the second resolution is maintained. This case belongs to adjusting the speed-up only and not adjusting the resolution, and the video stream at the second resolution is played at the second speed-up.
[0233] Figure 12 The media play interface when the play speed is switched from the first speed-up to the second speed-up is provided for some embodiments of the present application Figure 1 .
[0234] In some embodiments, when the display is controlled to continue playing the video stream C at the media play interface at the second speed-up, referring to Figure 12 , the display can also be controlled to display first prompt information 121 at the media play interface, and the first prompt information 121 is used to prompt that the play speed has been switched to the second speed-up. Referring to Figure 12 , for example, the first speed-up is 1.0X and the second speed-up is 2.0X, and the first prompt information 121 can be exemplified as “the play speed has been switched to 2.0X, and if problems such as lag occur, the play speed can be switched back to 1.0X”.
[0235] In step S117, a third resolution is determined, and a second video stream corresponding to the third resolution of the first media is obtained from the server.
[0236] In some embodiments, the condition for determining the third resolution can include:
[0237] Condition A, the third resolution is less than the second resolution. That is, when increasing the playback speed, the resolution is downgraded to avoid the playback abnormality / failure problem when playing high resolution at high speed.
[0238] Condition B, the third resolution corresponds to a second speed adjustment set including the second speed. That is, the display device can play the second video stream of the first media corresponding to the third resolution at the second speed.
[0239] Condition C, the controller can respectively subtract the second resolution from other resolutions less than the second resolution, take the absolute value of the difference, obtain a resolution difference value, and then sort the resolution difference value. In order from small to large, the other resolutions less than the second resolution are traversed in order until the third resolution that satisfies both Condition A and Condition B is found.
[0240] For example, assuming that the second resolution is 8K, the second speed is 2.0X, and the other resolutions less than 8K can include 4K, 1080P, 720P, 480P, and 360P. In order from small to large, the other resolutions less than 8K are sorted as: 4K>1080P>720P>480P>360P. Among them, the speed adjustment set corresponding to 4K does not include 2.0X, so the next resolution 1080P is judged. Assuming that the speed adjustment set corresponding to 1080P includes 2.0X, 1080P is determined as the third resolution, at which time the traversal can be stopped, i.e. there is no need to search for the third resolution from 720P, 480P, and 360P. In some embodiments, the media playback application can send a request to the server for requesting to obtain the second video stream corresponding to the third resolution based on the media ID of the first media, the third resolution, and the device ID.
[0241] Step S118, stop playing the video stream C, and control the display to play the second video stream at the second speed in the media playback interface.
[0242] If the speed adjustment set corresponding to the second resolution does not include the second speed, it means that the display device does not support playing the video stream C corresponding to the second resolution at the second speed. Then, the video stream C is stopped, and the second video stream corresponding to the third resolution is played at the second speed, so as to improve the feasibility of high-speed adjustment by automatically downgrading the resolution, which belongs to the case of adjusting both the speed and the resolution, and avoid the problem that the user cannot watch the first media played at the second speed due to the failure of speed adjustment, thereby improving the user watching experience.
[0243] Figure 13 The media playback interface provided by some embodiments of the present application when switching from the first speed to the second speed Figure 2 .
[0244] In some embodiments, when the video stream C is stopped from playing, and the display is controlled to play the second video stream at the second speed in the media playing interface, see Figure 13 The display can also be controlled to display second prompt information 131 on the media playing interface, which prompts that the second speed and the third resolution have been switched to. See Figure 13 For example, the second speed is 2.0X, the second resolution is 4K, and the third resolution is 1080P. The second prompt information 131 can be an example of “to provide a better playing experience, the speed has been switched to 2.0X, and 4K playing is turned off and 1080P playing is turned on”.
[0245] In step S119, the media playing application is controlled to store the first resolution adjustment indication information.
[0246] For the embodiment example of adjusting both the speed and the resolution, the second resolution is automatically adjusted to achieve high speed adjustment. If the user subsequently switches back to the first speed from the second speed, the second resolution can be restored synchronously. Based on the inventive concept, the controller can control the media playing application to generate and store the first resolution adjustment indication information, which indicates that the resolution of the first media is switched back to the second resolution from the third resolution when switching back to the first speed from the second speed, i.e., the original resolution before switching the speed is recorded as the second resolution, thereby providing a parameter basis for subsequent resolution restoration.
[0247] In step S1110, in response to the instruction to switch back to the first speed, it is judged whether the media playing application stores the first resolution adjustment indication information.
[0248] If the media playing application does not store the first resolution adjustment indication information, step S1111 is performed. If the media playing application stores the first resolution adjustment indication information, steps S1112 and S1113 are performed.
[0249] In step S1111, the display is controlled to continue playing the second video stream at the first speed in the media playing interface.
[0250] If the media playing application does not store the first resolution adjustment indication information, it indicates that the resolution was not adjusted when the speed was switched previously. Therefore, only the first speed is switched back, the third resolution remains unchanged, i.e., the second video stream corresponding to the third resolution continues to be played at the first speed.
[0251] Figure 14 The media playing interface when switching back to the first speed from the second speed is provided for some embodiments of the present application Figure 1 .
[0252] In some embodiments, when the display is controlled to continue playing the second video stream at the first speed in the media playback interface, see Figure 14 The display can also be controlled to display third prompt information 141 on the media playback interface, the third prompt information 141 being used to prompt that the first speed has been switched back. See Figure 14 For example, the first speed is 1.0X, and the third prompt information 141 can be an example of “normal speed playback has been restored”, where the normal speed is 1.0X.
[0253] At step S1112, the second resolution indicated by the first resolution adjustment indication information is obtained, and a video stream C corresponding to the second resolution of the first media is obtained from the server.
[0254] At step S1113, the second video stream is stopped, and the display is controlled to play the video stream C at the first speed in the media playback interface.
[0255] If the media playback application stores the first resolution adjustment indication information indicating that the resolution was automatically lowered based on the second resolution (non-user manual resolution reduction) when the first speed was switched to the second speed before, the second video stream can be stopped, and the video stream C corresponding to the second resolution is played at the first speed, so as to synchronize the restoration to the higher second resolution when the first speed is switched back, and improve the media playback effect and user viewing experience.
[0256] Figure 15 The media playback interface when the second speed is switched back to the first speed provided by some embodiments of the present application is shown in Figure 2 .
[0257] In some embodiments, when the second video stream is stopped, and the display is controlled to play the video stream C at the first speed in the media playback interface, see Figure 15 The display can also be controlled to display fourth prompt information 151 on the media playback interface, the fourth prompt information 151 being used to prompt that the first speed has been switched back and the second resolution has been restored. See Figure 15 For example, the second resolution is 4K, and the fourth prompt information 151 can be an example of “normal speed playback has been restored”, and 4K playback is restarted at the same time.
[0258] Figure 16 The timing interaction between the media playback application, the player and the server provided by some embodiments of the present application is shown in Figure 1 .
[0259] In some embodiments, see Figure 16 The objects of the timing interaction logic include a user, a display device and a server. The display device runs a media playback application and a player.
[0260] In some embodiments, referring to Figure 16 , the media playing application acquires the first resolution and the first speed set currently, and sends an acquisition request A to the server in response to the instruction of the user ordering the first media. The acquisition request A contains the media ID, the first resolution, and the device ID, and is used for the first resolution corresponding to the first video stream and the resolution category configured for the first media. The server acquires the first video stream matched with the media ID and the first resolution, and acquires the resolution category configured for the first media matched with the media ID in response to the acquisition request A, and then sends the first video stream and the resolution category configured for the first media to the display device corresponding to the device ID.
[0261] In some embodiments, referring to Figure 16 , when the media playing application receives the first video stream, the media playing application can call the player for playing the media, forward the first video stream to the player, and send a first play instruction to the player. The first play instruction contains the speed value of the first speed. In this way, the player plays the first video stream at the first speed in response to the first play instruction.
[0262] In some embodiments, referring to Figure 16 , the media playing application sets the speed adjustment set corresponding to each resolution of the first media based on the first speed upper limit value and the second speed upper limit value. Specifically, the media playing application sets the first speed adjustment set corresponding to the non-target resolution configured for the first media, and sets the second speed adjustment set corresponding to the target resolution configured for the first media.
[0263] In some embodiments, referring to Figure 16 , in the case that the speed adjustment set corresponding to the first resolution and the speed adjustment set corresponding to the second resolution are both empty sets, the media playing application does not display the speed button on the media playing interface. In the case that the speed adjustment set corresponding to the first resolution is an empty set and the speed adjustment set corresponding to the second resolution is a non-empty set, the media playing application displays the speed button on the media playing interface.
[0264] In some embodiments, referring to Figure 16 , the media playing application displays a speed list on the upper layer of the media playing interface in response to the instruction of triggering the speed button. The speed list can be generated according to the first speed adjustment set.
[0265] In some embodiments, referring to Figure 16In a case where the first video stream corresponding to the first resolution cannot be played at the second speed, the media playback application, in response to an instruction to switch to the second speed, which is greater than the first speed, and in response to a detection that the set of speed adjustments corresponding to the first resolution does not include the second speed, determines a third resolution from the second resolution, and sends a second acquisition request to the server, the second acquisition request including the media ID, the third resolution, and the device ID. The server, in response to the second acquisition request, sends the second video stream matching the media ID and the third resolution to the display device corresponding to the device ID.
[0266] In some embodiments, referring to Figure 16 , the media playback application receives the second video stream, and sends a first pause instruction to the player. The player, in response to the first pause instruction, stops playing the first video stream, and feeds back a first pause message to the media playback application. The media playback application, in response to the first pause message, forwards the second video stream to the player, and sends a second play instruction to the player, the second play instruction including a speed value of the second speed. The player, in response to the second play instruction, adjusts the play speed to the second speed by calling the setSpeed() interface, and plays the second video stream at the second speed. This case belongs to automatic synchronization of resolution downshift when switching speed, and after completion, the media playback application stores resolution adjustment indication information, the resolution adjustment indication information recording the first resolution to indicate that the resolution was downshifted based on the first resolution when switching from the first speed to the second speed.
[0267] In some embodiments, the media playback application, in response to an instruction to switch back to the first speed, determines whether the resolution adjustment indication information is stored. If the resolution adjustment indication information is not stored, the media playback application can send a speed adjustment instruction to the player, the speed adjustment instruction including a speed value of the first speed. The player, in response to the speed adjustment instruction, adjusts the play speed to the first speed by calling the setSpeed() interface, and continues to play the second video stream at the first speed.
[0268] In some embodiments, referring to Figure 16 , the media playback application, in response to an instruction to switch back to the first speed, and in response to a determination that the resolution adjustment indication information is stored, sends a third acquisition request to the server, the third acquisition request including the media ID, the first resolution, and the device ID. The server, in response to the third acquisition request, sends the first video stream matching the media ID and the first resolution to the display device corresponding to the device ID.
[0269] In some embodiments, referring to Figure 16, the media asset playing application receives the first video stream, sends a second stop playing instruction to the player. The player stops playing the second video stream in response to the second stop playing instruction, and feeds back a second stop playing message to the media asset playing application. The media asset playing application receives the second stop playing message, forwards the first video stream to the player, and sends a third playing instruction to the player, the third playing instruction including a speed value of the first speed. The player adjusts the playing speed to the first speed by calling the setSpeed() interface program in response to the third playing instruction, and plays the first video stream at the first speed. This case belongs to automatically synchronously recovering to the resolution adjustment instruction information recorded resolution when switching back to the original speed.
[0270] Figure 17 Timing interaction between media asset playing application, player and server provided for some embodiments of the present application Figure 2 .
[0271] In some embodiments, referring to Figure 17 , the interaction objects of the timing interaction logic include a user, a display device and a server. The display device runs a media asset playing application and a player.
[0272] In some embodiments, referring to Figure 17 , the display device starts the media asset playing application when the user starts the media asset playing application. After the media asset playing application is started, a first acquisition request is sent to the server, the first acquisition request containing device information (including device model, device serial number, device ID, etc.) of the display device. The server sends playing capability information matched with the device information to the display device corresponding to the device ID in response to the first acquisition request. The media asset playing application receives the playing capability information, and parses and caches the playing capability information.
[0273] In some embodiments, referring to Figure 17 , the media asset playing application acquires a first resolution and a first speed set currently in response to a user's instruction to play a first media asset, sends a second acquisition request and a third acquisition request to the server. The second acquisition request contains a media asset ID and a device ID, and is used to acquire resolution information; the third acquisition request contains the media asset ID, the first resolution and the device ID, and is used to acquire a first video stream (corresponding to the first resolution) of the first media asset. The server sends resolution information matched with the media asset ID to the display device corresponding to the device ID in response to the second acquisition request. The server sends the first video stream matched with the media asset ID and the first resolution to the display device corresponding to the device ID in response to the third acquisition request.
[0274] In some embodiments, referring to Figure 17When the media asset playback application receives the first video stream, the media asset playback application can call a player for playing the media asset, forward the first video stream to the player, and send a first play instruction to the player, where the first play instruction includes the speed value of the first speed. In this way, the player plays the first video stream at the first speed in response to the first play instruction.
[0275] In some embodiments, referring to Figure 17 After receiving the resolution information, the media asset playback application adjusts the speed adjustment set corresponding to each resolution configured for the first media asset based on the resolution information, the first upper speed limit value, and the second upper speed limit value. Specifically, the media asset playback application sets a first speed adjustment set corresponding to a non-target resolution configured for the first media asset, and sets a second speed adjustment set corresponding to a target resolution configured for the first media asset.
[0276] In some embodiments, referring to Figure 17 The media asset playback application determines whether the speed adjustment condition is met. If the speed adjustment condition is not met, the media asset playback application does not display the speed button on the media asset playback interface. If the speed adjustment condition is met, the media asset playback application displays the speed button on the media asset playback interface. The media asset playback interface can also display the resolution button.
[0277] In some embodiments, referring to Figure 17 In response to the instruction for triggering the resolution button, the media asset playback application generates a resolution list based on the resolution information and the playback capability information, and displays the resolution list on the upper layer of the media asset playback interface.
[0278] In some embodiments, referring to Figure 17 In response to the instruction for adjusting to the second resolution, which is greater than the first resolution, the media asset playback application sends a fourth acquisition request to the server, where the fourth acquisition request includes the media asset ID, the second resolution, and the device ID. In response to the fourth acquisition request, the server sends the video stream C matched with the media asset ID and the second resolution to the display device corresponding to the device ID.
[0279] In some embodiments, referring to Figure 17 When the media asset playback application receives the video stream C, the media asset playback application sends a first stop play instruction to the player. In response to the first stop play instruction, the player stops playing the first video stream and feeds back a first stop play message to the media asset playback application. In response to the first stop play message, the media asset playback application forwards the video stream C to the player and sends a second play instruction to the player. In response to the second play instruction, the player plays the video stream C at the first speed. In this case, only the resolution is adjusted and the speed is not changed.
[0280] In some embodiments, referring to Figure 17The media playback application generates a speed list according to the first speed adjustment set and displays the speed list on the upper layer of the media playback interface in response to the instruction of triggering the speed button.
[0281] In some embodiments, referring to Figure 17 The media playback application determines whether the second speed is included in the speed adjustment set corresponding to the second resolution in response to the instruction of switching to the second speed, which is greater than the first speed. If the second speed is included in the speed adjustment set corresponding to the second resolution, the media playback application can instruct the player to continue playing the video stream C at the second speed, which belongs to the case of adjusting the speed only without adjusting the resolution. If the second speed is not included in the speed adjustment set corresponding to the second resolution, a third resolution is determined, a fifth acquisition request is sent to the server, and the fifth acquisition request includes the media ID, the third resolution, and the device ID. The server sends the second video stream matching the media ID and the third resolution to the display device corresponding to the device ID in response to the fifth acquisition request.
[0282] In some embodiments, referring to Figure 17 The media playback application receives the second video stream and sends a second stop instruction to the player. The player stops playing the video stream C and feeds back a second stop message to the media playback application in response to the second stop instruction. The media playback application forwards the second video stream to the player and sends a third play instruction to the player in response to the second stop message, and the third play instruction includes the speed value of the second speed. The player adjusts the play speed to the second speed by calling the setSpeed() interface program and plays the second video stream at the second speed in response to the third play instruction. This case belongs to the case of automatically synchronously adjusting the resolution when switching the speed, and after completion, the media playback application stores the first resolution adjustment instruction information, which records the second resolution, to indicate that the resolution is adjusted based on the second resolution when switching from the first speed to the second speed.
[0283] In some embodiments, the media playback application determines whether the first resolution adjustment instruction information is stored in response to the instruction of switching back to the first speed. If the first resolution adjustment instruction information is not stored, the media playback application can send a speed adjustment instruction to the player, and the speed adjustment instruction includes the speed value of the first speed. The player adjusts the play speed to the first speed by calling the setSpeed() interface program and continues to play the second video stream at the first speed in response to the speed adjustment instruction.
[0284] In some embodiments, referring to Figure 17, the media playback application sends a sixth acquisition request to the server in response to the instruction of switching back to the first playback speed, the sixth acquisition request containing the media ID, the second resolution and the device ID. The server sends the video stream C matched with the media ID and the second resolution to the display device corresponding to the device ID in response to the sixth acquisition request.
[0285] In some embodiments, referring to Figure 17 , the media playback application receives the video stream C and sends a third stop playing instruction to the player. The player stops playing the second video stream in response to the third stop playing instruction and feeds back a third stop playing message to the media playback application. The media playback application forwards the video stream C to the player and sends a fourth playing instruction to the player in response to the third stop playing message, the fourth playing instruction containing the playback speed value of the first playback speed. The player adjusts the playback speed to the first playback speed by calling the setSpeed() interface program in response to the fourth playing instruction and plays the video stream C at the first playback speed. In this case, the playback is automatically synchronized to the resolution recorded in the first resolution adjustment instruction information when switching back to the original playback speed.
[0286] The timing interaction logic of the media playback scheme may vary for different models / display devices with different playback capabilities, different platforms / media playback applications, different media, different user operations and different playback scenarios.
[0287] In some embodiments, a computer storage medium is also provided, which can store a program. When the computer storage medium is configured in the display device 200, the program can include the program steps involved in the media playback method of the above embodiments when executed. The computer storage medium can be a magnetic disk, an optical disk, a read-only memory (ROM) or a random access memory (RAM), etc.
