Abstract

This application relates to the field of solid waste resource utilization and high-purity material preparation technology, and discloses a method for preparing vanadium pentoxide based on waste hydrodesulfurization catalyst and the vanadium pentoxide itself. The method includes: mixing the waste hydrodesulfurization catalyst with a sodium carbonate solution for alkaline oxygen pressure leaching to obtain a leachate; applying an electric field to the leachate for electrochemical oxidation treatment followed by membrane separation to obtain a vanadium-rich solution, then adding a complexing agent for selective complexation and impurity removal to obtain a purified solution; adding seed crystals to the purified solution to induce crystallization, obtaining ammonium metavanadate crystals, which are then calcined under low oxygen conditions to obtain vanadium pentoxide with a purity ≥99.85%. The method of this application exhibits significant impurity removal efficiency, controllable structure, and strong batch stability. It can not only achieve deep removal of impurities such as iron, nickel, molybdenum, aluminum, silicon, and calcium, but also increase the purity of vanadium pentoxide to greater than 99.85%, realizing the efficient recovery and purification of vanadium resources from waste hydrodesulfurization catalyst.
