The present disclosure provides a “vehicle system for generating and transmitting driving characteristic probabilities.” A vehicle system includes one or more computing devices configured to generate a driving characteristic probability distribution (CPD) using one or more aggregated vehicle signals, wherein the driving CPD associates one or more driving situations with one or more driver behaviors. The one or more computing devices are further configured to, in response to the subsequent driving CPD differing from a nominal CPD by a CPD threshold, transmit, to a usage-based insurance (UBI) server, driving CPD information including data indicative of the subsequent driving CPD to cause an update to a UBI rate of a UBI policy associated with the vehicle.
