8. The comb of claim 7, wherein the auxiliary channel extends between at least one opening formed in the housing and the distal end of the housing.

9. The comb of claim 8, wherein the at least one opening comprises an elongated groove formed in the sidewall of the housing.

16. The system of claim 15, wherein each of the second plurality of comb teeth is directly heated by the heating element.

The system of claim 15, wherein the second plurality of comb teeth comprises a first subset of comb teeth and a second subset of comb teeth, each comb tooth in the first subset being directly heated by the heating element, and each comb tooth in the second subset being indirectly heated by the heating element.

19. The system of claim 13, further comprising a protective member extending around at least one of the plurality of comb teeth operatively coupled to the heating element.
