Abstract

This invention relates to an imaging device detachably installed in which conductive components and a force-applying mechanism are provided. The processing cartridge includes a first unit comprising a developing element; a second unit comprising a photosensitive element; a driving force receiving assembly; a voltage regulating device for receiving the force applied by the force-applying mechanism, thereby switching between a mutually electrically connected state and a mutually electrically disconnected state between the developing element and the conductive component; and a deceleration device for controlling the rotational speed of the developing element. When the processing cartridge is used for development in the imaging device, the developing element and the conductive component are in a mutually electrically disconnected state, and the developing element has a rotational speed V2. When the processing cartridge is not used for development in the imaging device, the developing element and the conductive component are in a mutually electrically connected state, and the developing element has a rotational speed V1, satisfying V1 < V2. This technical solution is beneficial for reducing wear on the developing element.
