Low temperature reinforcing steel and method of production thereof

Abstract

The application belongs to the technical field of steel metallurgical production, and discloses a low-temperature reinforcing steel bar and a production method thereof.The chemical components of the low-temperature reinforcing steel bar include, in percentage by mass, C 0.06-0.20%, Si 0.25-0.50%, Mn 1.20-1.60%, P≤0.025%, S≤0.025%, Al 0.020-0.060%, H≤0.0002%, V 0.06-0.09%, N 0.0045-0.0080%, Ta 0.005-0.015%, Si+6Al 0.42-0.72%, and the rest is Fe and inevitable impurities.The application effectively improves the defects of the existing low-temperature reinforcing steel bar, such as insufficient strength under ultra-low temperature, low total elongation under maximum force, and poor notch sensitivity, and has excellent ultra-low temperature bearing strength and plastic toughness, can effectively inhibit notch stress concentration and crack propagation, avoid ultra-low temperature brittle fracture risk, and significantly improve the service stability and safety reliability of the low-temperature reinforcing steel bar in LNG storage tanks and other ultra-low temperature engineering structures.
