A tension device for writing fiber optic gratings

Abstract

This utility model discloses a tension device for fiber Bragg grating (FBG) writing, relating to the field of FBG writing technology. It includes a tension control console, with a fixed connecting plate fixedly connected to one top surface of the console. A first fixed connector is fixedly connected to one top surface of the fixed connecting plate, and a connecting rod is fixedly connected to one outer wall of the fixed connecting plate. The first fixed connector on the fixed connecting plate secures one end of the FBG, while a second fixed connector on a sliding base clamps the other end. A drive motor controls the rotation of a threaded rod, which in turn moves the sliding base within a movable adjustment disc to adjust its position, thereby adjusting the distance between the first and second fixed connectors and stretching the FBG. Different stretching sizes can be achieved depending on the actual length of the FBG.
