Compositions, systems and mixtures for the manufacture of flexible foams based on polyflavonoids, method for manufacturing said foams, and flexible foams obtained therefrom

Abstract

The present invention relates to a composition for manufacturing a flexible polyflavonoid-based foam comprising at least one plant extract comprising polyflavonoids, at least one condensing agent selected from furfuryl alcohol, hexamine, and a combination thereof, a surfactant mixture comprising at least one anionic surfactant and at least one non-ionic surfactant, optionally at least one oil, at least one dispersing agent comprising at least two hydroxy groups, and water. The invention also relates to a system and mixture comprising said composition, at least one blowing agent, and at least one catalyst. A method for manufacturing a flexible polyflavonoid-based foam from said composition, system, or mixture, and the flexible foam obtained therefrom, are also related to this invention.
