Abstract
The present invention relates to a milling process comprising the milling of a mineral composition to be milled in the presence of an adjuvant composition comprising at least one polymer (P) of formula (I), wherein: - M independently represents H+ or a cation of valence v selected from an alkali metal cation, an alkaline earth metal cation, a divalent or trivalent metal cation, an ammonium cation, or an organic ammonium cation, - if M = H, v = 1, and if “M” represents a cation, v is the valence of cation M, - R2, R3, R4, and R5 independently represent H, CH3, or –COO(M)1 / v, - m = 0, 1, or 2; p = 0 or 1;X is O, or N, and - R1 represents -[Alkyl-O]z-R6, wherein each “Alkyl” is, independently, a linear or branched C2 to C4 alkylene, R6 represents H, a C1 to C20 alkyl, a cyclohexyl or an alkylaryl, and z ≥ 40, the number of (I) and (II) units in the polymer (P) being defined by a repeating unit (A) comprising a (II) unit and “a” (I) units, with a > 0, n ranging from 1.5 to 50, and the molecular weight of the repeating unit (A) Mw(A) ≤ 6500 g / mol, the mineral composition to be milled comprising from 0% to 80% by weight of clinker, relative to the total weight of the mineral composition to be milled.
