New compound and pharmaceutical composition comprising it as an active ingredient

Abstract

The present invention relates to a novel compound having a fibrosis-inhibiting effect; the compound or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, according to the present invention, has been confirmed to effectively inhibit the expression (formation) of α-SMA, COL1A1, and F-actin, which are major causal factors of fibrosis; therefore, it is expected that the novel compound, according to the present invention, will be usefully employed for the prevention and treatment of fibrosis-related diseases as a therapeutic agent having the effect of reducing or inhibiting fibrosis.
