ADAPTER FOR SUPPORTING A PROSTHESIS

Abstract

The present invention relates to an adapter for supporting a prosthesis on a prosthetic limb that protrudes from the body of a user. The adapter includes a male portion coupled to a prosthesis pin, a female portion coupled to the prosthesis and the male portion, and a locking ring for locking against rotation of the male portion relative to the female portion. According to the invention, the female portion further includes an at least partially elastic sleeve arranged within the female portion which is configured to expand in a radial direction when the sleeve is compressed in an axial direction, so as to lock against rotation of the male portion relative to the female portion.
