PROCESS FOR DEHYDRATION OF A HYDROCARBON GAS

Abstract

The present invention proposes the use of a dry stream rich in C4 to C10 hydrocarbons as a stripping medium to improve the regeneration of the liquid desiccant according to the invention. The specific dry stream rich in C4 to C10 hydrocarbons is extracted from the gas resulting from the dehydration, for example in an LNG (liquefied natural gas) extraction stage downstream of the gas dehydration unit. The stripping medium stream recovered at the outlet of the liquid desiccant regeneration unit can be recycled in the process of the invention or forwarded to a unit external to the process according to the invention.For example, the specific stripping medium stream recovered at the outlet of the regeneration unit is forwarded to a unit capable of receiving liquid condensates, such as a three-phase separation unit at the inlet of the raw gas treatment plant, a condensate stabilization unit, etc.
