Abstract

An emergency location information system comprising: an emergency mobile location (EMP) server; an emergency service number (ESN) database server that stores city addresses and corresponding labels provided by an Internet service provider (ISP) over an IP network; a wireless access point (AP) component EMP-AP running on a processor of an AP at a city address known to the ISP, wherein the EMP-AP component provides a label known to the ISP, which is part of a radio frequency (RF) signal, a beacon transmitted by the AP; and a mobile operating system (OS) component EMP-OS running on a processor of a mobile phone and operating to monitor the AP's beacon signal and store the label,wherein the EMP-OS component further has the function of integrating the signaling into an emergency call from the mobile phone to the EMP server via a network.,
