Abstract
Description
[0001] The present invention relates to a device for fastening an attachment to a supporting part, in particular in a motor vehicle.
[0002] In motor vehicles, particularly passenger cars or commercial vehicles, it is often necessary to attach individual components, i.e., add-on parts, to other components, i.e., supporting parts. For example, components of an exhaust system can be mounted on an engine block in a passenger car or on a supporting frame in a commercial vehicle. The add-on parts mounted on the vehicle in this way must be interchangeable for maintenance purposes. Furthermore, assembly and disassembly must be as simple as possible. For this purpose, fastening devices are used that enable simple and rapid assembly and disassembly of the respective add-on part.
[0003] The present invention addresses the problem of providing an improved embodiment for such a fastening device, which is characterized in particular by inexpensive manufacture and / or by particularly simple handling.
[0004] This problem is solved according to the invention by the subject matter of the independent claim. Advantageous embodiments are the subject matter of the dependent claims.
[0005] The invention is based on the general idea of equipping the fastening device with a bracket that can be fastened to the supporting part, wherein at least one clamp is provided which, when installed, engages around the attachment and secures it to the bracket. The clamp forms a separate component from the bracket which, when installed, engages behind a holding section of the bracket. For this purpose, the bracket is equipped with an insertion opening and an exit opening for each clamp, through which the respective clamp is passed so that it engages behind the holding section of the bracket. It is particularly important that the respective clamp is held on the bracket by means of a holding clip. For this purpose, the respective holding clip can engage behind the clamp between the insertion opening and the exit opening through the holding section. The respective holding clip thus secures the clamp to the bracket. This allows the use of clamps manufactured separately from the console, making them comparatively inexpensive to produce. Damaged clamps can also be replaced particularly easily. Particular attention is paid to the fact that the retaining clip is attached to the console or its holding section on a side facing the attachment to be attached, reaching through the console in this holding section and engaging behind the clamp. With the help of the retaining clip, the respective clamp is held in place on a side of the console facing away from the attachment to be attached. In particular, the retaining clip clips the clamp to the console at the back, even though the retaining clip itself is located on the front of the console. This means that the retaining clip is accessible even after the console has been mounted on the supporting part, so that it can be easily attached and removed when the console is in place.
[0006] According to an advantageous embodiment, each retaining clip can have a base plate from which two spring arms protrude. The bracket can then expediently have two insertion openings for each retaining clip in the holding section, through which the spring arms of the retaining clip extend through the holding section and engage laterally behind the clamp. This design allows for particularly easy insertion of the retaining clip. When inserted through the insertion openings, the spring arms can elastically deflect laterally and engage behind the clamp under spring load, thus securely securing the clamp to the bracket.
[0007] According to another embodiment, an insert part can be arranged between the respective holding section of the bracket and the respective clamp. Since the respective holding clip presses the clamp against the holding section of the bracket, the insert part arranged between the holding section and the clamp can also be held in place at the same time. This insert part can be made of plastic, for example, in order to reduce wear on the clamp and / or the bracket due to vibrations and relative movements between the clamp and the bracket. Furthermore, the insert part can additionally or alternatively have a damping effect in order to dampen such vibrations or relative movements. Likewise, the insert part can be designed as a reinforcement of the bracket in the holding section and can then preferably be made of metal (sheet metal).
[0008] According to another particularly advantageous embodiment, the respective clamp can be designed in two parts. In particular, for this purpose, the respective clamp is divided into a rear part and a front part. The rear part can be held on the console with the respective retaining clip, while the front part is connected at one end in a hinge area to one end of the rear part, while the front part can be fixed at its other end in a fixing area at the other end of the rear part. For assembly and disassembly, the front part can thus be easily folded away, giving the rear part increased accessibility. This can simplify the assembly and removal of the respective attachment.
[0009] A particularly advantageous development is one in which the front part of the clamp is detachably connected to the rear part of the clamp in the joint area, so that the front part can be completely removed from the rear part when the fastening is released. This further simplifies the installation and removal of the attachment.
[0010] Further important features and advantages of the invention emerge from the subclaims, from the drawings and from the associated description of the figures based on the drawings.
[0011] It is understood that the features mentioned above and those to be explained below can be used not only in the combination specified in each case, but also in other combinations or on their own, without departing from the scope of the present invention.
[0012] Preferred embodiments of the invention are illustrated in the drawings and are explained in more detail in the following description, wherein the same reference numerals refer to the same or similar or functionally identical components.
[0013] They show, schematically Fig. 1 a perspective view of a fastening device, Fig. 2 a perspective view of a retaining clip, Fig. 3 a perspective view from the inside of a holding section of the console, without clamp, Fig. 4 a view as in Fig. 3, but with a clamp.
[0014] Accordingly Fig. 1 comprises a fastening device 1, which is also referred to below as device 1, a bracket 2, and at least one clamp 3. In the example shown, the device 1 comprises two such clamps 3, which are expediently identical in construction. In principle, however, a single clamp 3 may also be sufficient. Likewise, more than two clamps 3 may be provided.
[0015] The device 1 serves to fasten an attachment 4, indicated by a broken line, to a support member 5, also indicated by a broken line. The device 1 is preferably used in motor vehicles, in particular passenger cars or commercial vehicles. For example, the attachment 4 can be a component of a vehicle's exhaust system, such as a muffler, a particulate filter, a catalytic converter, or a combination thereof. The support member 5 is expediently an engine or engine block, or a supporting frame of the vehicle.
[0016] In the example shown, the two clamps 3 are arranged on the bracket 2 at a distance from one another in an axial direction or longitudinal direction of the attachment part 4.
[0017] The bracket 2 can be attached to the supporting part 5. For example, when the device 1 is assembled, the bracket 2 is screwed to the supporting part 5 using screw holes 6. The bracket 2 is preferably a formed sheet metal part. It is expediently manufactured from a single sheet metal part by forming.
[0018] The respective clamp 3 is fixed to the bracket 2 and, when mounted, encompasses the attachment part 4.
[0019] In order to secure the respective clamp 3 to the bracket 2, the bracket 2 is equipped with an insertion opening 7 and an exit opening 8 for each clamp 3. The respective insertion opening 7 and the associated exit opening 8 form a pair of openings 7-8 consisting of two aligned openings 7, 8. The respective clamp 3 is passed through the matching openings 7, 8. As a result, the respective clamp 3 engages behind a holding section 9 of the bracket 2. In its section which interacts with the respective holding section 9, the respective clamp 3 is located on a side 10 of the bracket 2 facing away from the optionally mounted attachment 4, which is also referred to below as the rear side 10 of the bracket 2. In contrast, the attachment 4, in the mounted state, is located on a side 11 of the bracket 2 facing the attachment 4, which side is also referred to below as the front side 11 of the bracket 2.
[0020] For each clamp 3, the device 1 has at least one retaining clip 12, with the aid of which the respective clamp 3 is held on the console 2. For this purpose, the respective retaining clip 12 engages behind the respective clamp 3 through the console 2. In other words, the respective retaining clip 12 engages through the holding section 9, specifically between the respective inlet opening 7 and the associated outlet opening 8. The respective retaining clip 12 is accordingly arranged on the front side 11 of the console 2, but cooperates with the respective clamp 3 on the rear side 10 of the console 2 to secure this clamp 3 to the console 2.
[0021] Accordingly Fig. 2, the respective retaining clip 12 is designed according to a preferred embodiment such that it has a base plate 13 from which two spring arms 14 protrude. The spring arms 14 protrude, for example, approximately perpendicularly from the flatly designed base plate 13. They are arranged at the edge, at opposite ends of the base plate 13. They each have a locking lug 15 and an insertion bevel 16.
[0022] According to the Fig. 3 and Fig. 4, the bracket 2 is equipped with two plug-in openings 17 for each retaining clip 12 in the area of the holding section 9. These plug-in openings 17 are dimensioned and arranged such that the spring arms 14 of the respective clip 12 can be inserted therein, such that the spring arms 14 in these plug-in openings 17 extend through the holding section 9 and laterally engage behind the clamp 3 on the rear side 10 of the bracket 2.
[0023] How Fig. 3 can be removed, the plug-in openings 17 and the spring arms 14, in particular with regard to the design of the locking lugs 15 and the insertion bevels 16, can be coordinated with one another in such a way that the respective plugged-in retaining clip 12 is arranged on the console 2 in a captive manner, regardless of whether the clamp 3 is present or not. Fig. 3 shows how the locking lugs 15 on the rear side 10 engage behind the console 2 or the respective holding section 9.
[0024] The clamps 3 are at least in one in Fig. 4, which interacts with the retaining clip 12, is designed in a band-shaped manner. The clamp 3 is expediently designed as a band clamp. This allows the clamp 3 to be manufactured relatively inexpensively and offers a certain degree of flexibility. Said clip area 18 is located on the rear side 10 of the bracket 2 when the clamp 3 is assembled.
[0025] Accordingly Fig. 1, the respective retaining clip 12 can be attached to a side facing away from the console 2, i.e. to the side shown in Fig. 1 form a contact zone on the side facing the viewer, which is formed here by the base plate 13. Accordingly, this contact zone is also referred to as 13 below. The respective attachment 4 comes into contact with said contact zone 13 in the assembled state. This can, for example, prevent direct contact between the attachment 4 and the console 2. The retaining clip 12 can be made, in particular, of plastic, thereby reducing wear on the attachment 4 and / or the console 2. Alternatively, the retaining clip 12 can also be made of metal, in particular sheet metal or steel.
[0026] According to the Fig. 1 and Fig. 4, in a preferred embodiment, an insert 19 can be arranged between the holding section 9 and the respective clamp 3. This insert 19 also prevents direct contact between the clamp 3 and the bracket 2. The clamps 3 are expediently made of metal. These are preferably formed sheet metal parts. The respective insert 19 can be made of plastic to reduce wear on the bracket 2 and the respective clamp 3. Alternatively, it is also possible to manufacture the insert 19 from sheet metal, thereby serving as a reinforcing element.
[0027] The respective insert part 19 can be conveniently inserted loosely between the holding section 9 and the clamp 3. With respect to the clamp 3, the insert part 19 is then located in the clip area 18. The clip connection or clip connection realized with the aid of the respective holding clip 12 can now be designed in such a way that the loose insert part 19 is held by the clip connection of the clamp 3 to the bracket 2. As in Fig. As can be seen in Figure 4, the retaining clip 12, with its spring arms 14, also engages over the respective insert part 19. This holds it laterally. Transversely, the respective insert part 19 is held by the clamp 3 itself or by the bracket 2.
[0028] Accordingly Fig. 1, the respective clamp 3 can be designed in two parts according to the particularly advantageous embodiment shown here. Each clamp 3 accordingly has a rear part 20 proximal to the console 2 and a front part 21 distal to the console 2. The respective rear part 20 is held on the console 2 by means of the respective retaining clip 12. In contrast, the respective front part 21 is arranged distal to the console 2. The respective front part 21 is at one end, in Fig. 1 above, in a joint area 22 hingedly connected to the rear part 20. At the other end, in Fig.1 below, the respective front part 21 can be fixed in a fixing area 23 on the rear part 20. The respective fixing area 23 can, for example, work with a screw connection not shown here. In particular, the rear part 20 can have a weld nut in the fixing area 23. The front part 21 then has a through-opening 24 in the fixing area 23 through which a screw can be inserted and can interact with the weld nut arranged on the rear part 20. When the fixing area 23 is open, the front part 21 can be pivoted in the joint area 22 relative to the rear part 20, specifically about a pivot axis running parallel to the longitudinal axis of the attachment part 4. This makes it possible to mount the respective attachment part 4 laterally to its longitudinal axis, i.e. transversely.
[0029] In the respective joint area 22, one part 20, 21, here the front part 21, can have a through-opening 25 through which a hook 26 extends, which is formed on the other part 20, 21, here the rear part 20. This configuration of the joint area 22 also makes it possible, in particular, to completely remove the front part 21 from the rear part 20. This further simplifies the handling of the device 1 for the assembly and disassembly of the respective attachment part 4.
[0030] In the embodiment shown here, a locking mechanism is also implemented in the respective fixing area 23, which here serves as a pre-fixing of the front part 21 to the rear part 20. The main fixation is achieved with the aid of the aforementioned screw connection through the through-opening 24. If such a screw connection is omitted, the aforementioned locking mechanism can also form the only fixation of the front part 21 to the rear part 20. This locking mechanism can be implemented, for example, by equipping one part 20, 21, here the front part 21 in the fixing area 23, with a locking opening 27, into which a locking lug 28 engages, which is formed on the other part 20, 21, here on the rear part 20 in the fixing area 23. In the example, the front part 21 is also angled in the fixing area 23, creating a gripping area 29, with the aid of which the locking mechanism 27-28 can be released manually.
