Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a blower of the type specified in the preamble of claim 1. Hand-held or back-supported blowers in which the blow pipe is guided by the operator are generally known. In normal operation, the blow pipe is pivoted back and forth and / or up and down by the operator in order to blow off leaves or the like, for example. If the blower is designed as a spraying device, the movement of the blow pipe serves to uniformly distribute the material to be sprayed onto the surfaces to be sprayed.U.S. Pat. No. 6,226,833 B1 discloses a blower unit which is guided over the ground by wheels and whose blow pipe can be adjusted by Bowden cables. The entire blow tube is pivoted over the Bowden cables. Comparatively much force is required for this purpose.DE 102 52 942 A1 discloses a blower device, downstream of the fan wheel a reducing device is arranged in the air flow, which reduces the free flow cross section during idling of the internal combustion engine. The reducing device may be a throttle valve coupled to the position of the throttle lever. The invention is based on the object of creating a blower of the generic type which enables a force-saving work with a blower. This object is achieved by a blower with the features of claim 1.For pivoting the blow pipe, provision is made to adjust the blow-out direction from the blow pipe. If the blowing direction out of the blow pipe is inclined with respect to the longitudinal central axis of the blow pipe, the deflection of the blast air flow causes a transverse force on the blow pipe, which causes a pivoting of the blow pipe onto the side of the blow pipe facing away from the blowing direction. As a result, a pivoting movement of the blow pipe can be achieved in a simple manner. The energy for the pivoting is provided by the blast air stream itself and not by the operator, so that a force-saving, ergonomic work results.A simple configuration results if at least one adjustable flow guide element is arranged in the region of the blow-out opening for inclining the blow-out direction in the blow-out tube. In order to be able to adjust the blowing-out direction, for example, both horizontally and vertically, a plurality of flow guide elements can be provided. A simple configuration also results if the blowing-out opening is formed on an adjustable nozzle. The nozzle can be adjusted in particular in all directions, so that a pivoting of the blow tube is possible horizontally, vertically or in all oblique directions lying therebetween. The pivoting device has an actuating element which can be actuated by the operator for adjusting the blowing-out direction. An intuitive operation results if the blow-out direction is adjusted in the opposite direction for actuating the actuating element. The blower moves counter to the direction in which the blowing direction has been adjusted. The blow tube accordingly moves in the direction in which the adjusting element has also been adjusted. For example, when the adjusting element moves to the left, the blowing direction is adjusted to the right, as a result of which the blowing tube pivots to the left.A simple design with ergonomic handling results if the blower has a handle which is rotatably mounted and forms the actuating element. To pivot the blow tube, the operator merely has to pivot the handle, and the blow tube follows this pivoting movement on account of the pivoting device. However, it can also be provided that at least one section of the blow pipe is mounted rotatably about the longitudinal central axis, on which section the handle is fixed and forms the actuating element with the latter. To pivot the blow pipe, the handle must be tilted and thus the blow pipe rotated. This also allows simple ergonomic operation of the pivoting device of the blow pipe to be achieved. However, an operating lever can also be provided as an adjusting element, which can be operated by the operator with the thumb, for example. It can also be provided that the adjusting element has a sensor for detecting a pivoting movement initiated by the operator. The sensor is advantageously a gyro sensor or gyro sensor. The sensor can be an electronic or a mechanical sensor. A mechanical gyro element can be driven, for example, by the blast air stream. A gyro sensor or gyro sensor detects a change in position. If the blow pipe is pivoted by the operator, the gyrosensor can detect the pivot movement that is introduced and support it by changing the blow-out direction, so that the operator only requires small forces for pivoting. The movement of the adjusting element is electrically transmitted to the means for inclining the blowing direction. Advantageously, the adjusting element brings about a periodic adjustment of the blow-out direction. The operator can thereby advantageously set the frequency and / or the pivoting path of the blow pipe, and the pivoting device periodically changes the blow-out direction to one side and to the other or upwards and downwards, so that the blow pipe is pivoted back and forth or upwards and downwards. For this purpose, it is provided in particular that the operator operates the pivoting device via an input device such as a keyboard, a touchpad or the like. The means for inclining the direction of blow-out comprise an electric actuator. A separate battery, a generator which is driven by the blast air current or an energy supply device of the drive motor of the blower device can serve to supply energy to the electric actuator. The energy supply device of the drive motor is advantageously the ignition device in the case of a drive motor designed as an internal combustion engine and a rechargeable battery, a battery or a power cable for connection to a socket in the case of a drive motor designed as an electric motor. In particular, the pivoting device has means for resetting the blowing-out direction parallel to the longitudinal central axis of the blowing tube. The means for resetting the blowing direction ensures that no further transverse force acts on the blowing tube any longer at the end of the pivoting path and the blowing tube remains in the deflected position. The means for resetting the blowing-out direction are in particular springs which hold the adjusting element or a flow guide element at the blowing-out opening in the non-deflected position or reset it into this. By appropriate configuration of the pivot axis of the adjusting element, however, an automatic resetting can also be achieved, for example due to the force of gravity.Advantageously, the blower is a hand-held blower having a housing to which a blow tube and a handle are secured. The handle is thereby firmly connected via the housing to the blow pipe, so that the blow pipe is directly guided by the operator. However, the blower can also be a back-supported blower, in particular a spray device, wherein the blower tube is arranged movably with respect to a back support, and wherein a handle is arranged on the blower tube. Here too, the blow pipe is guided directly by the operator.Exemplary embodiments of the invention are explained below with reference to the drawings. The drive motor 9 is designed as an internal combustion engine. As shown in FIG. 2, the drive motor 9 has a piston 19 which drives a crankshaft 18 in rotation about an axis of rotation 25. The piston 19 delimits a combustion chamber 21, into which a spark plug 20 projects. The spark plug 20 is connected to an ignition module 22, which is arranged on the outer periphery of a fan wheel 23. The fan wheel 23 is connected to the crankshaft 18 in a rotationally fixed manner and has one or more pole shoes which induce the ignition voltage in a coil of the ignition module 22. The ignition module 22 can also supply the energy for further electrical consumers of the blower 1. Arranged adjacent to the fan wheel 23 is a starting device 24, which is advantageously designed as a cable pull starter and serves to start the drive motor 9. On the side opposite the starting device 24, a fan wheel 17 is connected to the crankshaft 18. The blower wheel 17 conveys working air into a blower spiral 6, The blower wheel 17 forms the blower 62 of the blower 1. The bellows section 8 enables a movement of the blow pipe 7 in all spatial directions. During a pivoting movement in an approximately horizontal direction, the blow tube 7 is pivoted approximately about a pivot axis 60, which is shown schematically in FIG. 1.A handle 10 is arranged on the blow tube 7. The handle 10 is connected to the blow pipe 7 via a sleeve 14. The handle 10 is pivotable relative to the collar 14 at a pivot joint 15 about an axis of rotation 16. The handle 10 can be swung to the right and left as viewed by the operator. On the handle 10 there are arranged a throttle lever 11, a throttle lever lock 12 and a stop switch 13.As FIGS. 1 and 2 show, the housing 2 of the blower 1 is arranged on a back carrier 3. In its upper region, the back carrier 3 has a carrying handle 4. As FIGS. 1 and 2 also show, a fuel tank 5 is provided below the housing 2 for supplying the drive motor 9 with fuel.FIG. 3 shows a pivoting device 99 of the blower 1, which pivoting device is not according to the invention. As FIG. 3 shows, an adjusting lever 27 is fixedly connected to the handle 10 rotatably mounted on the collar 14, which lever extends outwards with respect to the axis of rotation 16. A first end 32 of a Bowden cable core 29 of a Bowden cable 26 is connected to the adjusting lever 27. A first end 30 of a Bowden cable sheath 28 of the Bowden cable 26 is connected to the collar 14. A second end 31 of the Bowden cable sheath 28 is fixed to the blow pipe 7 adjacent to a blow-out opening 35 of the blow pipe 7. At the blow-out opening 35, the blast air stream leaves the blow pipe 7. In the region of the blow-out opening 35, a flow guide element 34 is arranged in the blow pipe 7, which is designed as a planar plate. A second end 33 of the Bowden cable core 29 is connected to the flow guide element 34. When the handle 10 is rotated to the right as viewed by the operator, the Bowden cable core 29 is pulled through the Bowden cable sheath 28 to the first end 32. As a result, the flow guide element 34 is pivoted to the left, i.e. in the opposite direction to the pivoting movement of the handle 10, as viewed by the operator. The pivoting of the flow guide element 34 takes place against the force of a spring 36, which is shown schematically in FIG. 3. The spring 36 can act on the flow guide element 34 or also on the Bowden cable 26 and brings about a return of the flow guide element 34 into the unactuated position. In the unactuated position, no transverse force F acts on the blow pipe 7. As a result, the flow guide element 34 is also returned to the unactuated position upon a rotation of the handle 10 to the left and a pivoting of the flow guide element 34 to the right.FIGS. 4 to 6 show a further exemplary embodiment, on the basis of which the function of the pivoting device 99 is explained. In the embodiment according to FIGS. 4 to 6, instead of the Bowden cable 26, a linkage 37 is provided for mechanically transmitting the actuating movement of the handle 10 to the flow guide element 34. FIG. 4 shows the pivoting device 99 not according to the invention in the unactuated position. The handle 10 and the flow guiding element 34 are oriented in the direction of a longitudinal central axis 56 of the blow tube 7. The stream of blown air flows out of the blowing-out opening 35 in a blowing-out direction 100 which is parallel to the longitudinal central axis 56 and to the flow guide element 34. As FIGS. 4 to 6 show, the linkage 37 engages an actuating lever 38 which is firmly connected to the flow guide element 34.To pivot the blow tube 7, the operator moves the handle 10, which serves as an adjusting element, in the direction of the arrow 39, i.e. clockwise in the representations in plan view. The flow guide element 34 is deflected in the opposite direction, i.e. in the counterclockwise direction, via the linkage 37. The flow guide element 34 and the blowing-out direction 100 running parallel to the flow guide element 34 are at an angle α to the longitudinal central axis 56. the angle α can be, for example, in the range between approximately 5° and approximately 75°. Due to the blowing-out direction 100 inclined with respect to the longitudinal central axis 56, the blowing air stream exerts on the blowing tube 7 a transverse force F which acts perpendicularly to the longitudinal central axis 56 in the direction of the side facing away from the flow guide element 34. Due to the transverse force F, the blow tube 7 is pivoted clockwise, as indicated in FIG. 6 by the arrow 40. After carrying out the pivoting movement, the handle 10 is pivoted in the direction of the arrow 64 counterclockwise back into the initial position, for example by appropriate springing. Accordingly, the flow guide element 34 is pivoted in the direction of the arrow 63 into the starting position in which the blowing-out direction 100 lies parallel to the longitudinal central axis 56 of the blowing tube 7. As soon as the flow guide element 34 is again aligned parallel to the longitudinal central axis 56, no transverse forces F act any longer on the blow pipe 7. By periodically turning the handle 10 back and forth, the blow tube can be periodically pivoted back and forth. This results in simple, ergonomic work. The return to the initial position can be effected by the operator or advantageously by appropriate springing of the handle 10, of the linkage 37 and / or of the flow guide element 34.In the embodiment not according to the invention shown in FIG. 7, the handle 10 is firmly connected to the collar 14. The blow pipe 7 is rotatably mounted with respect to the bellows section 8, namely with a pivot joint 41. the blow pipe 7 can be pivoted with respect to the bellows section 8 about the longitudinal central axis 56 of the blow pipe 7. The first end 32 of the Bowden cable core 29 is connected to the bellows section 8 via an adjusting lever 43. The first end 30 of the Bowden cable sheath 28 is connected to the blow tube 7. As in the exemplary embodiment shown in FIG. 3, the second end 33 of the Bowden cable core 29 is connected to the flow guide element 34 and the second end 31 of the Bowden cable sheath 28 is connected to the blow tube 7. When the handle 10 is tilted to the right as viewed by the operator, the flow guide element 34 is deflected to the left and the blow tube 7 is pivoted to the right due to the transverse force F that arises. When the handle 10 is tilted to the left, the blow tube 7 pivots to the left.In the embodiment of a pivoting device 99 shown in FIG. 8, an operating lever 44 is arranged on the handle 10 fixedly connected to the blow tube 7, which can be deflected to the right and to the left by the operator, for example with the thumb. The deflection of the operating lever 44 is transmitted via an electrical connecting line 47 to an electromagnet 45 which is supplied with energy by a battery 46. The electromagnet 45 directs the actuating lever 38 on the flow guide element 34 via an adjusting lever 48 and a coupling rod 49. When the operating lever 44 is pivoted upwards in the plan view in FIG. 8, i.e. to the right as viewed by the operator, the flow guide element 34 is pivoted downwards, i.e. to the left as viewed by the operator, so that a transverse force F is produced upwards and vice versa. The operating lever 44 is advantageously spring-mounted in the direction of the unactuated position shown in FIG. 8 and controls the electromagnet 45 such that after the pivoting movement has taken place, the latter returns the flow guide element 34 back into the initial position. In the exemplary embodiment shown in FIG. 9, a keypad 50 is provided on the handle 10, which keypad can be formed, for example, by a film keypad or a touchpad or else by a plurality of switches. In addition, a display can be provided on the handle 10. The operator can control the pivoting movement of the pivoting device 99 via the keypad 50. It is also possible to preset a periodic movement of the blow tube 7, in particular by presetting the frequency and the path of the deflection. As in the embodiment of FIG. 8, the keypad 50 acts on an electromagnet 45 via a connecting line 47, the electromagnet 45 being connected to the ignition module 22 of the internal combustion engine via a connecting line 51 and being supplied with energy by the latter.FIG. 10 shows an alternative exemplary embodiment for the energy supply of the electromagnet 45. the control element for the articulation of the electromagnet 45 can be designed as shown in the preceding figures. A wind wheel 52 projecting into the blast air stream is arranged in the blast pipe 7, which wind wheel drives a generator 53. The generator 53 converts the rotation of the wind turbine 52 into electric power, with which the electromagnet 45 is actuated. In FIGS. 11 and 12, instead of a flow guide element 34, an adjustable nozzle 54 is provided in the blow pipe 7 at the end of the blow pipe 7. The term "nozzle" is to be broadly understood here and denotes an element which is arranged movably at the end of the blow tube 7 and guides the stream of blown air. In the unactuated position shown in FIG. 11, the longitudinal central axis 57 of the nozzle 54 is parallel to the longitudinal central axis 56 of the blow tube 7. the nozzle 54 is held on the blow tube 7 by a pivot bearing 55, which permits pivoting both about a first pivot axis 58 perpendicular to the plane of the sheet and about a second pivot axis 59 perpendicular thereto. This allows the nozzle 54 to be deflected upwards and downwards and laterally to the right and left as well as in all intermediate directions. In the actuated state shown in FIG. 12, the longitudinal central axis 57 of the nozzle 54 encloses an angle β with the longitudinal central axis 56. As a result, a transverse force F is generated on the blow pipe 7 by the blow air stream, which deflects the blow pipe 7.FIG. 13 shows an exemplary embodiment of a hand-held blower 65, the blower 65 having a housing 66 to which a handle 67 is secured via anti-vibration elements, not shown. In the housing 66, an internal combustion engine, not shown, is arranged as a drive motor, which conveys a blast air flow through a blower spiral 6 via a blower. The internal construction corresponds approximately to the construction of the blower 1 shown in FIG. 2, and a blower tube 7 is fixed at the outlet from the blower spiral 6, at the end of which a pivotable nozzle 54 is arranged. The nozzle 54 is pivotable about a pivot axis 74 which, in the usual working position, is arranged approximately perpendicularly or slightly inclined with respect to the perpendicular. Additionally or alternatively, a pivoting of the nozzle 54 about a pivot axis which is approximately horizontal in the usual working position can also be provided. A throttle lever 11 and an operating lever 68 are arranged on the handle 67. The operating lever 68 acts on a pivoting device, which is not shown in detail in FIGS. 13 to 15. The pivoting device can be designed in accordance with one of the pivoting devices from the preceding figures. When the operating lever 68 is pivoted in the direction of the arrow 70 shown in FIG. 14, the nozzle 54 pivots about the pivot axis 74 in the opposite direction, namely in the direction of the arrow 71; as a result, a transverse force F is exerted on the blow pipe 7, which transverse force pivots the blow pipe 7 in the direction of the arrow 72. The pivoted position of the blower 65 is shown in FIG. 15. Since the operator holds the blower 65 on the handle 67, the blower tube pivots with the entire blower 65 about the pivot axis 69, shown in FIG. 13, which passes approximately through the center of the handle 67. As FIG. 15 shows, the longitudinal central axis 57 of the nozzle 54 encloses an angle β with the longitudinal central axis 56 of the blow pipe 7 in the actuated position of the pivoting device. After the pivoting, the nozzle 54 is set back into its central position, for example by appropriate springing. As a result, no further transverse force F acts on the blow pipe 7.FIG. 16 schematically shows a blower 75 which is likewise designed as a hand-guided blower. The blower 75 has a housing 76 to which a handle 67 is secured. On the handle 67 is arranged an actuating lever 83 for a drive motor 78 arranged in the housing 76. The drive motor 78 is designed as an electric motor and is supplied with energy by a battery 77 arranged in the housing 76. The drive motor 78 drives a blower 79, which conveys a stream of blown air through a blow pipe 7 of the blower 75. As FIG. 16 also shows, a flow guide element 34 is arranged in the blow pipe 7 in the region of the blow-out opening 35, said flow guide element being actuated by an electromagnet 45. The electromagnet 45 is supplied with electrical energy from the battery 77. The electromagnet 45 is connected to the battery 77 via a connecting line 82. The blower 75 has a gyro sensor 80 which is connected to the electromagnet 45 via an electronic evaluation unit 87 and a connecting line 81. The gyro sensor 80 detects a pivoting movement of the blower 75 initiated by the operator on the handle 67. the electronic evaluation unit 87 recognizes the pivoting movement and forwards a corresponding signal to the electromagnet 45. The electromagnet 45 adjusts the flow guide element 34 in the exhaust opening 35 in such a way that the pivot movement introduced by the operator is amplified and the blower 75 pivots in the direction desired by the operator. In the exemplary embodiment, gyro sensor 80 is situated in housing 76 in a region adjacent to handle 67. However, it can also be advantageous to arrange the gyro sensor 80 adjacent to the blow-out opening 35, for example together with the electromagnet 45 in one structural unit. Instead of the electric gyro sensor 80 shown, a mechanical gyro may also be provided as gyro element. A mechanical gyro element can be driven, for example, by the air stream conveyed through the blow tube 7.In the embodiment according to FIG. 17, instead of a gyro sensor 80, an operating lever 44 arranged on the handle 67 is provided as the adjusting element. In the embodiment according to FIG. 18, the handle 67 is mounted on the housing 76 with a pivot joint 84 so as to be pivotable about an axis of rotation 85 and forms the adjusting element for a pivot device 99. The axis of rotation 85 is not perpendicular but inclined. This results in automatic centering. The weight of the blower 75 causes the blower to return to the unactuated position of the pivot. In the embodiment according to FIG. 19, sensor surfaces 86 are provided on the handle 67, wherein at least one sensor surface is advantageously provided on each side of the handle 67. The sensor surfaces 86 react, for example, to pressure and detect a pivoting movement of the blower 75 initiated by the operator on the pressure exerted on the sensor surfaces 86. The pivoting movement desired by the operator is amplified by corresponding adjustment of the flow guide element 34 or of a nozzle 54 arranged at the blow tube end.In the embodiment according to FIG. 20, a keypad 50 is provided for actuating the pivoting device 99.In the exemplary embodiment shown in FIG. 21, a blower 90 is shown, which is designed as a spraying device. The blower 90 has a housing 2 which is arranged on a back support 3. A drive motor 9 designed as an internal combustion engine is arranged in the housing 2. The structure is the same as that shown in FIG. 2, and like reference numerals denote like elements. On the back support 3 there is also arranged a spraying agent container 92. The crankshaft 18 of the drive motor 9 drives, in addition to the blower wheel 17, a pump 91 for delivering spraying agent. It can also be provided that the spraying agent is conveyed out of the spraying agent container 92 due to the force of gravity. Adjacent to the blowing-out opening 35, a metering valve 93 is arranged on the blowing tube 7, via which metering valve the spraying agent is fed to the blowing air stream. The handle 10 is connected via a joint 98 to the collar 14 which is fixed to the blow tube 7. The hinge 98 permits rightward and leftward rotational movement of the handle 10 about a first pivot axis 101 and upward and downward movement of the handle 10 about a second pivot axis 102.As FIG. 22 shows, two flow guide elements 34 and 94 are arranged adjacent to the blow-out opening 35. The flow guide element 34 can be pivoted about a pivot axis 61 which is approximately perpendicular when the blow tube 7 is in a horizontal position. The second flow guide element 94 is pivotable about an approximately horizontal pivot axis 96 perpendicular to the pivot axis 61. A Bowden cable 95 is used to actuate the flow-guiding element 94, which is connected to the handle 10 and acts on the flow-guiding element 94 via an actuating lever 97. By means of the two flow guiding elements 34 and 94 which are perpendicular to one another, a pivoting movement of the blow pipe 7 in two directions which are perpendicular to one another can be realized. The articulation of the flow guide element 94 can be effected mechanically (not according to the invention) or via an electric actuator, as described with respect to the flow guide element 34.The above-described embodiments for the adjusting element, the transmission to the means for inclining the blowing direction and the means for inclining the blowing direction can also be combined differently with one another. Identical reference numerals identify elements corresponding to one another in the figures.
