AI Technical Summary
Existing plug-in connection elements face challenges in ensuring reliable latching of contacts within contact chambers due to manufacturing tolerances, particularly in miniaturized components, leading to potential slippage and unintended release under load conditions.
A contact design featuring a primary locking lance and a spring arrangement with a lower spring constant, projecting from opposite sides of the contact box, ensures secure latching by positioning the contact within the chamber, accommodating manufacturing tolerances without hindering insertion.
The design guarantees consistent and secure latching of contacts within contact chambers, even with manufacturing deviations, preventing slippage and ensuring stable connections under tension.

Abstract
Claims
[1] Contact (10) which is provided for locking in a contact chamber (16) of a plug connection element (1), the contact (10) comprising: a contact box (13); and a primary locking lance (14) resiliently projecting from a first side surface (18) of the contact box (13) in a first direction (22); characterized by , that the contact (10) further comprises a spring arrangement (21) which projects resiliently from a second side surface (19) of the contact box (13) in a second direction (23) opposite to the first direction (22) and which has a smaller spring constant than the primary locking lance (14), wherein the spring arrangement (21) has at least two partial spring arrangements (30, 31), wherein one partial spring arrangement (30) is arranged in the longitudinal direction of the contact box (13) in front of the primary locking lance (14) and one partial spring arrangement (31) is arranged in the longitudinal direction of the contact box (13) behind the primary locking lance (14). [2] Contact according to claim 1, wherein a projection height (d2) of the spring arrangement (21) is greater than the sum of a manufacturing tolerance of the contact (10) and a manufacturing tolerance of the contact chamber (16). [3] Contact according to claim 1 or 2, wherein a projection height (d2) of the spring arrangement (21) is smaller than a projection height (d1) of the primary locking lance (14). [4] Contact according to one of claims 1 to 3, wherein a projection height (d2) of the spring arrangement (21) is less than 0.2 mm. [5] Contact according to one of claims 1 to 4, wherein the spring arrangement (21) is formed integrally with the contact box (13). [6] Contact according to one of claims 1 to 5, wherein the spring arrangement (21) is cut out of a wall of the contact box (13) forming the second side surface (19). [7] Contact according to one of claims 1 to 6, wherein both ends (27, 29) of the spring arrangement (21) are arranged flush with the second side surface (19). [8] Contact according to one of claims 1 to 7, wherein the second side surface (19) is opposite the first side surface (18) and is arranged parallel thereto. [9] Plug connection element (1) with at least one contact chamber (16) and at least one contact (10) latched into a contact chamber (16) by means of a primary locking lance (14) according to one of claims 1 to 8.
