Description

[0001] The invention relates to a torsional vibration damping device, in particular for a traction mechanism pulley assembly, comprising a hub and a pulley, in particular a traction mechanism pulley, which is rotatably mounted on the hub by means of a plain bearing device. The invention further relates to a traction mechanism pulley assembly with such a torsional vibration damping device.

[0002] European patent EP 1 612 386 B1 discloses a drive wheel for driving an accessory unit of a vehicle's internal combustion engine, comprising a damping device designed as a torsional vibration damper and arranged between a drive wheel drive plate and a hub of the drive wheel drive. The hub and the drive wheel drive plate are rotatably mounted via a bearing designed as a plain bearing. German patent application DE 10 2011 016 577 A1 discloses a pulley damper for damping torsional vibrations of a drive shaft comprising a pulley for driving a traction mechanism, in particular a traction belt.

[0003] Further belt or torsional vibration dampers or drive wheels are disclosed in the documents DE 100 45 453 A1, DE 195 06 454 C1, DE 10 2007 038 209 B3, DE 43 12 577 C1, DE 10 2013 206 444 A1, DE 10 2010 052 587 A1 and DE 10 2004 046 741 A1.

[0004] The object of the invention is to extend the service life of a torsional vibration damping device, in particular for a traction mechanism pulley arrangement, with a hub and a pulley, in particular a traction mechanism pulley, which is rotatably mounted on the hub by means of a plain bearing device.

[0005] The object is achieved in a torsional vibration damping device, in particular for a traction mechanism pulley arrangement, comprising a hub and a pulley, in particular a traction mechanism pulley, which is rotatably mounted on the hub by means of a plain bearing device. The plain bearing device is combined with a sealing device. The sealing device can prevent unwanted contamination or the ingress of water into the plain bearing device. By combining the sealing device with the plain bearing device, the design of the torsional vibration damping device, in particular of a traction mechanism pulley arrangement with the torsional vibration damping device, can remain virtually unchanged compared to conventional designs.

[0006] The sealing device has a sealing lip. The sealing lip is preferably preloaded against a bearing surface or an extension of the bearing surface. The bearing surface can be provided on the disc or on the hub.

[0007] Furthermore, the sealing lip extends from a collar that is angled from an axial plain bearing body. The axial plain bearing body preferably serves to represent a standard axial plain bearing. The one-piece connection between the sealing lip and the axial plain bearing body simplifies the assembly of the axial plain bearing. Furthermore, the collar engages around a collar formed on the hub. The collar on the hub preferably serves to represent the axial plain bearing. A corresponding axial plain bearing body is preferably arranged between the disc flange and the hub collar.

[0008] The collar defines a receiving space for the thrust bearing body. The receiving space for the thrust bearing body is essentially an annular space, which is bounded radially inward by the hub. In the axial direction, the annular space serving to accommodate the thrust bearing body is bounded by the disc flange and the hub collar.

[0009] A further preferred embodiment of the torsional vibration damping device is characterized in that the sealing lip projects beyond a running surface of the plain bearing device facing the disk. By means of a preferably slight projection of the sealing lip beyond the sealing surface of the plain bearing device prior to its installation, a desired preload of the sealing lip in the installed state of the plain bearing device can be easily achieved. To form the plain bearing device, a disk flange is preferably formed on the disk, from which a substantially sleeve-like bearing body is angled. The bearing body preferably serves to form a radial plain bearing. The disk flange preferably serves to form an axial plain bearing.

[0010] Another preferred embodiment of the torsional vibration damping device is characterized in that the sealing lip rests tightly against the disc. This enables a good seal in a simple manner.

[0011] A further preferred embodiment of the torsional vibration damping device is characterized in that the sealing lip defines an annular space, which constitutes a cavity in the combined plain bearing and sealing device. An open side of the cavity is preferably closed by the disk, in particular by the disk flange.

[0012] A further preferred embodiment of the torsional vibration damping device is characterized in that the sealing device is combined with an axial plain bearing. The plain bearing device preferably also comprises a radial plain bearing. The radial plain bearing is preferably designed like a conventional radial plain bearing and can be independent of the axial plain bearing combined with the sealing device.

[0013] The invention further relates to a traction pulley assembly with a torsional vibration damping device as described above. If the traction pulley assembly is operated with a belt as the traction mechanism, the traction pulley is also referred to as a pulley. The torsional vibration damping device in the traction pulley assembly preferably serves to decouple undesirable rotational irregularities, which originate, for example, from an internal combustion engine. In this context, the torsional vibration damping device is also referred to as a traction pulley decoupler, in particular as a pulley decoupler.

[0014] Further advantages, features, and details of the invention will become apparent from the following description, in which various embodiments are described in detail with reference to the drawings. They show: Fig. 1 a partially broken-away representation of a traction mechanism pulley arrangement according to the invention in a front view; Fig. 2 an enlarged section with a combined plain bearing and sealing device made of Fig. 1 in longitudinal section; Fig. 3 an enlarged sectional view of the combined plain bearing and sealing device from Fig. 2 alone; Fig. 4 a perspective sectional view of the combined plain bearing and sealing device and Fig. 5 an enlarged section of Fig. 4.

[0015] In Fig. Figure 1 shows a perspective view of a traction pulley assembly 1 with an integrated torsional vibration damping device 2. The traction pulley assembly 1 comprises a traction pulley 4. When operated with a belt as the traction mechanism, the traction pulley 4 is also referred to as a belt pulley.

[0016] The traction mechanism pulley 4 is rotatable about a rotational axis 6 relative to a hub 5 having a hub base body 7. On the radial outside, the traction mechanism pulley 4 has a traction mechanism contact area 10. During operation with a traction mechanism, such as a belt, the traction mechanism pulley 4 is wrapped around by the traction mechanism, in particular the belt, in the area of the traction mechanism contact area 10.

[0017] A disk flange 12 extends radially inward from the traction mechanism contact area 10. The disk flange 12 is integrally connected to the traction mechanism contact area 10 of the traction mechanism disk 4. Fig. 1, a right half is taken up by the pulley 4. A Fig. 1 left side of the traction mechanism pulley arrangement 1 is occupied by an additional functional part 15.

[0018] The additional functional part 15 comprises, for example, a switchable clutch device that enables the traction mechanism pulley assembly 1 to be switched from a torque-transmitting state to an idle state. In the idle state, the traction mechanism pulley assembly 1 can be operated without transmitting any torque between the hub 5 and the traction mechanism pulley 4.

[0019] The rotatability of the traction mechanism pulley 4 relative to the hub 5 is enabled by a plain bearing device 20. The plain bearing device 20 comprises a radial plain bearing 21 and an axial plain bearing 22. According to an essential aspect of the invention, the plain bearing device 20, in particular the axial plain bearing 22, is combined with a sealing device 30.

[0020] In the Fig. Figures 2 to 5 describe in detail the structure and function of the combined plain bearing and sealing device 20, 30. The radial plain bearing 21 is arranged radially between the hub body 7 of the hub 5 and a bearing body 28, which is angled radially inward from the disk flange 12 in the axial direction.

[0021] The axial plain bearing 22 comprises an axial plain bearing body 25, which is arranged in the axial direction between the disk flange 12 and a collar 26 that projects radially outward from the hub base body 7 of the hub 5. The axial plain bearing body 25 extends radially outward from the radial plain bearing 21. The sealing device 30 is arranged at the radially outer end of the axial plain bearing body 25, which can also be referred to as a friction disk.

[0022] The sealing device 30 comprises a sealing lip 32 extending from a collar 34 of the sealing device 30. The collar 34 extends in the axial direction and is angled away from the axial plain bearing body 25. In the context of the present invention, the term "axial" refers to the axis of rotation 6. Axial means in the direction of or parallel to the axis of rotation 6. Analogous means radially perpendicular to the axis of rotation 6.

[0023] The sealing lip 32 defines an annular space 35 which, in the installed state of the plain bearing and sealing device 20, 30, extends in the axial direction, i.e. in Fig. 2 to the left, which is limited by the disc flange 12.

[0024] The sealing lip 32 protrudes with its free end, preferably prior to assembly of the traction mechanism pulley assembly 1, beyond an axial running surface 41 of the axial plain bearing body 25. When the plain bearing and sealing device 30 is installed, the axial running surface 41 faces the disk flange 12 of the traction mechanism pulley 4. An axial running surface 42 of the axial plain bearing body 25 faces the collar 26 of the hub 5 when the plain bearing and sealing device 20, 30 is installed.
