Sprocket assembly (40) for a bicycle (10), wherein the sprocket assembly (40) comprises: a first chain wheel (52) configured to rotate about an axis of rotation (L) of the bicycle (10); a mounting element (60) comprising a plurality of engagement elements (128) which are fixed in relation to it on associated, interconnected mounting arms (122) of the mounting element (60) and are arranged on the outside of the first sprocket (52); a second sprocket (54) arranged on the inside of the first sprocket (52); and a plurality of alignment elements (58) which engage with the plurality of engagement elements (128) through a plurality of first openings (64) in the first sprocket (52) and a plurality of second openings (80) in the second sprocket (54); wherein each of the plurality of alignment elements (58) comprises an alignment feature configured to engage directly radially with each of the plurality of first openings (64) and the plurality of second openings (80); and wherein the sprocket assembly (40) further comprises a carrier (56) arranged between the first and second sprockets (52, 54), wherein the carrier (56) comprises a plurality of third openings (88), and wherein the plurality of third openings (88) is configured to engage directly radially with the alignment feature of each of the plurality of alignment elements (58).
