AI Technical Summary
Conventional connectors face challenges in maintaining a secure holding force after engagement due to the risk of plastic deformation of locking arms when subjected to external forces or entanglement with electric lines, making it difficult to ensure a stable connection.
A connector design featuring a housing with a locking arm and a detection element that allows for relative movement between temporary and main locking positions, incorporating guide rails and protrusions to prevent deformation and enhance holding force, ensuring the locking arm remains elastic and secure.
The design effectively prevents plastic deformation of the locking arm, maintaining a strong holding force even under external stress, ensuring a stable and reliable engagement state.

Abstract
Claims
[1] Plug, comprising: a connection; a housing (20) in which the terminal is received and held, and to which a counterpart housing (Ch) is locked by causing a locking portion (31b) to be locked by a locked portion (32a) provided in the counterpart housing (Ch) to perform releasable locking when an engagement state with the counterpart plug (C) is in a fully engaged state; and a detection element (40) mounted on the housing (20) and capable of relative movement in an engagement direction and a separation direction relative to the housing (20) between a temporary locking position and a main locking position when the engagement state is the full engagement state, wherein the housing (20) comprises: a main body (21); a locking wall (25a) facing the main body (21) in an opposite direction, which is a direction perpendicular to the engagement direction, and confining the locking portion (31b) together with the main body (21) at the main locking position; an elastic locking arm (31) attached to the main body (21); a pair of side walls (24a1) erected from the main body (21) in the opposite direction and facing each other in an arrangement direction perpendicular to the engagement direction and the opposite direction while confining the locking arm (31); and a pair of locking projections (27) projecting from each of the side walls (24a1) toward the other side wall (24a1), and the detection element (40) can be attached to the locking arm (31), wherein the locking arm (31) comprises: a locking portion (31b); and a pair of guide rails (31f) each projecting toward the side walls (24a1), extending in the separation direction, and formed to have a part on one side in the separation direction facing a direction away from the main body (21), wherein the detection element (40) comprises: a base body (41); an elastic detection arm (42) projecting from the base body (41) in the engagement direction and arranged such that a distal end (42a) faces the locking portion (31b) at the temporary locking position in the separation direction and that the distal end (42a) faces the locking portion (31b) at the main locking position in the engagement direction; a pair of wall bodies (43) erected from the base body (41) in the opposite direction and facing each other in the arrangement direction; a pair of projecting bodies (44), each of which projects from each of the wall bodies (43) toward the other wall body (43) and is arranged to be sandwiched between the main body (21) and the guide rail (31f) when the detecting element (40) is attached to the locking arm (31); an abutment surface (46) provided on one side of the detection element (40) in the separation direction and perpendicular to the engagement direction; and a rib (47) arranged on one side in the separation direction of the contact surface (46), is arranged so that, viewed from the engagement direction, it is sandwiched between the main body (21) and the locking projection (27) at the main locking position, and is arranged so that it is sandwiched between the main body (21) and the locking projection (27) at the temporary locking position, wherein at least a part of the detection element (40) is arranged between the locking wall (25a) and the locking portion (31b) at the main locking position, and the detection element (40) is movable relative to the housing (20) between a fastening position and the main locking position, at least before the engagement state becomes the fully engaged state, the fastening position in which the distal end (42a) of the detection arm (42) faces the locking portion (31b) in the engagement direction, the locking projection (27) is sandwiched between the rib (47) and the main body (21) while facing the abutment surface (46) in an insertion and removal direction, and the projecting body (44) is arranged to face the part of the guide rail (31f) on the side in the separation direction. [2] The connector according to claim 1, wherein the guide rail (31f) has an inclined portion (31f2) facing a direction away from the main body (21) when the part on the side in the separating direction progresses in the separating direction. [3] The connector according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the locking arm (31) comprises a locking body (31g) arranged to be sandwiched between the main body (21) and the locking projection (27).
